DEP won't allow Adobe reader to run?

I had this problem several times. My computer was fine to open any PDF file, and I don't know since when it prevented me to open any PDF file. :( What actually happened is when whenever I tried to open a PDF file and windows just automatically close adobe reader and say that there is a problem with adobe reader. So all of this just stopped himself! Windows said it was DEP prevents viruses and bad things to the computer and so and so... I tried to reset the DEP option on my computer, but it says that you can not turn off DEP for this program (adobe reader software). Very well, very well. So I downloaded the latest version of adobe reader and the problem was solved in part. By part I meant that I can open only PDFs that have already registered on my computer, but not the web browser.  I then went to the Web site of firefox (the browser I normally use) for help and it fixed the problem. However... today, I turned on my computer and tried to open a PDF file on the web broswer, everything was back to where it was! What the hell is happening? I can't open any PDF file with adobe reader, and I need to open the files of sugar! PLEASE HELP ME! Thank you. : D

Search for a file that you have downloaded

This information applies to Windows Internet Explorer 7 and Windows Internet Explorer 8.

When you use Internet Explorer to download a file from Internet, you are usually asked where you want to store the file. If you specify where you want the file to be stored, Internet Explorer try normally put a file in the appropriate place. For example, documents and Web pages are normally saved in the Documents folder, music music files in the folder, and the images and graphics are saved in the pictures folder. In Internet Explorer 7, which could potentially harmful, such as executable programs, files are saved in the folder of the first temporary Internet files, and then copied in the folder you specified. Programs and various downloads are also sometimes saved to the downloads folder. Here are some tips on searching for files, that you downloaded.

If you download a file, and the save file dialog box appears, it is best to specify the folder in which you want to save the file to. This will save time later. If you save multiple files, Windows will normally remember the last folder you have saved, if you do not have to specify the folder again.

I'm not updating I do not add plug-ins I have nothing, but browse the sites SAFE and all of a sudden, Adobe Flash Player does from time to time, and Mozilla asks me if I want to allow it to work?

All versions of the Flash plugin have been disabled by Mozilla because of a disclosed security hole that Adobe has to fix.

  • Adobe Reader XI print obscured by the task bar in IE dialog box

When using Internet Explore 11 with Adobe Reader XI and try to show the causes of dialog box print dialog windows to be positioned in the lower left corner of the screen every time.  Positioning of the print in a neighborhood view dialog box is not known.  Whenever the print to Adobe within Internet Explorer dialog box is used, the dialog window is displayed again in the lower left corner of the screen.

I tested this problem on Windows 7 32/64-bit and 64-bit Windows 10.  Adobe Reader 9 running on Windows 10 machine under the same senerio does not trigger this action, but is rather the print dialog box squarely in the middle of the screen where it belongs.

I found a few other reports of this behavior mentioned elsewhere, but no one has an answer on how to fix this problem.

    Hi Tariq,

Thanks for your effort / suggestion.

I tried this on three machines to test with any changes noted.

The print dialogue box displayed in Firefox and Google Chrome are displayed normally.  Well well, the less usable.  The problem is related to Internet Explorer 11 in combination with XI Adobe and Google Calendar.

During this phase of testing, however, I open PDF files in Internet Explorer and launched the Adobe printing functionality without worries, it is shown in this first assignment.

So now, I'm leaning more that it's a matter of Google Calendar.

  • Adobe Reader error

I have several users who get an Adobe Reader error when you try to open a course that is only a PDF document. It is a small subset of users. I checked and they have all Adobe Reader XI (11.0.09) installed and use to open other PDF documents. Any ideas why this error is popping?Adobe Reader Error.PNG

It's because their browser uses an internal PDF viewer instead of Adobe Reader. They will have to allow Adobe Reader in the default application for the display of PDF documents via their web browser.

  • Adobe reader and Windows XP Pro SP3 DEP

    OS is XP Pro.

Cannot print anything Adobe Reader now. This has never been a problem in the past. Tried updating to the latest version of Adobe Reader (9.3). This does not solve the problem.

Entered in the configuration of the DEP and Adobe added to the list of exceptions, but there is no help. Always impossible to print a PDF from Adobe Reader. Sent many error reports to Microsoft on this issue.

Never had a problem with it in the past.

It is a somewhat obscure question. Sorry it took a while to find. Some time ago I solved a similar problem with a XP machine. Here's how.

    Run and restart.

Of course, if you have another printer try to see the Web site of the manufacturer on DEP fix with the product concerned. This seems to be more related to Canon than others, so... it may be relevant.

  • Allow a standard user to install software designated as updates of Adobe reader with group policy

    Hello

I have the users configured as standard users to prevent them from installing unapproved software.

This causes problems with products such as java and adobe reader running automatic updates.  We then get cranky users because they are prompted to install the update and approval from the administrator.

Is it possible with group policy to allow pre-approved software to install as update of adobe reader?

    Thank you

I have Adobe Reader XI with the package that allows me to send a PDF file and convert PDF files to Word. When I open a pdf file and you try to find the search shows no match, even if the word I'm looking for is in the document. Suggestions how to search?

A scanned document is an image; You can't find a picture.

If the image contains text, recognition of characters (OCR) will convert the 'text' in the image in real text (searchable, editable).

OCR can be performed automatically when converting a PDF to Word, using the ExportPDF service.

To run OCR inline in a PDF document, you will need Acrobat.

  • Windows 8.1 allows installation of Adobe Reader (install_reader11_en_mssd_aaa_aih.exe)

I try to install adobe reader on a PC running windows 8.1. I downloaded the file to install the player, install_reader11_en_mssd_aaa_aih.exe. However, when I try to run the program, and I also tried "Run As Administrator" as well, he has some sort of notification OS in the form of blue banner most of the entire screen telling me that Windows cannot run the file. Initially, Windows indicates the installation has been blocked by Microsoft Smartscreen, an anti-malware application of Microsoft. I thought that by disabling Smartscreen would allow me to proceed with the installation, but now when I try to run it I get the blue banner with the message "this application can run on your PC to find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher." I also tried to delete the file and download a new copy of the installer without result. Anyone know of any possible solutions to get the drive installed on this PC?

  • Adobe Reader hangs with DEP when using Vista

According to me, surely someone has found a solution for this now.  Whenever I try to print a PDF file using Adobe or Nitro, the program bombs with the DEP error. The most frustrating thing is that: when I try to disable DEP control (using installation feeding by Vista) - it says that I CAN ' T turn off DEP looking for this software!  Looking at other threads, I feel that this problem be Acrobat with Vista itself. BTW, I already reinstalled the printer (a Canon LBP3200) AND Adobe Reader X.  Is there a solution out there?

  • Adobe Reader Installer failed. Now I can't run, re - install or uninstall.

Tried to install Adobe Reader XI on my newly refreshed (new) Windows 8 desktop. After reaching 96% completion, the installer hanging for more than an hour, and in frustration I finally stopped via the Task Manager. I tried to reinstall it by running the installer from the website, and when that failed to do anything, I downloaded the full package on my drive. Run the installation of the package I downloaded anything also. A look at running processes show a couple Adobe Reader to background process, but does not consume significant system resources.

Drive does not appear in the list of installed programs in the Control Panel, so I can't uninstall it to try a clean install. I had enough problems with Windows 8, I envisage, cleaning the disc and go back to XP...

If you have a third installed anti-virus program, temporarily disable or uninstall.

  • Adobe Reader does not allow signing the form?

I created a form with Adobe LiveCycle Designer with a number of fields of digital signature. When the form opens with Adobe Reader, it does not allow for signatures to be completed it shows an error message «to avoid the security settings on the document, adding text and/or by placing a signature on it since Adobe Reader»

    What did I do wrong?

You probably just drive - activate the form. You can do this with Acrobat or LiveCycle Reader Extensions.
