  Hello again,

  I have to mention that as a workaround, you can use the import JSR168 tool because there are to WLP 10.3 and do generate but not to deploy the EAR file for you. On the inside of the EAR, you should find a directory of the same name as your original file of WAR with a WEB - INF / subdirectory. You should be able to copy all the files of configuration generated out of this WEB-INF/lib /. Return to the root of the ear (which has a subdirectory of the same name as your original file of the WAR), expand your original file WAR it so that it replaces the WAR directory, then copy the configuration files that you have stored offshore in the WEB - INF directory. Finally, jar to the top of the EAR file again and it should be ready to deploy.

  Below you will find my vision of time should implement a module of OLIVIER:
  -A week to install all components (OBIEE 11 g, DAC, OLIVIER). During this week of you write an installation guide with all the print screen to reproduce your installation on a different environment.
  -Two weeks to set up a module of OBIA and load data into your OBAW (Oracle Business Analaytics Warehouse) and test data (just to see if you have data in your report). This step should make the workshop with businesses to configure your module (definition of the value of the configuration file)
  -One week to implement security as you want your username.

  So in 4 weeks, you might have an implementation for an environment, but without comprehensive testing, without customization.
  You can reduce the time with no installation guide, a workshop with companies to configure your module OBIA, no security. It depends on what you want in a first time.

• Extension jar files to put on the Server Configurator

  Is there a way to migrate the jar of extension of the Configurator in ordering to place the jar files in the server, rather than return to the ebs and download the jars with GUI and join models?

  What is happening in the background when the jar files are downloaded to the ebs model? whence the file stored and etc... ?

  It would be nice to be able to use PPM to migrate jar files. Help would be appreciated.

  It is possible to place the Extension Archives Configurator, or even your CX themselves, class files in the CLASSPATH of your application Java Server and then refer to them by their full qualified class name in your Configurator Extension rules.  There are many reasons that you do not want to do that, however.  Among them are:

  1. You should always make sure that identical versions of all Archives/classes are installed on all environments (development, Test, Production), on what your models to Configurator must be executed.
  2. Modify any class CX installed on the file system requires a rebound of web server so that the changes of code comes into force, which requires downtime for the Configurator, but for your entire system of E-Business Suite.
  3. Change a class CX installed on the file system immediately impact all templates using this Extension of configurator and therefore requires testing of each of them before the deployment of one.

  The framework of the Extension of the Configurator introduced in 11i10, in which Configurator Extension Archives are stored in the database, was designed to meet all these gaps in the system of a CX deployment files:

  1. CX archives are part of a Publication model, so it does not need to explicitly install jar files or class on any server target of Publication.  The CX Archives related to a model copied to the database target by pressing the program contributing to process the postback.
  2. Modify a class CX and republish a model that it uses do not require a rebound of web server.  At run time, the new automatically code gets loaded with the new definition of the model.  No downtime required.
  3. Modify a CX class only affect models that use it, and who are subsequently republished.  Models that do you not continue to use the CX code as it was during their last publication.

  I'm totally familiar with PPM, but I don't have to know anything to tell you that any deployment architecture consisting of Extension of Configurator classes on the file system take advantage of best practices facilitated by the standard Configurator Extension Framework.

  What I want to do is-

  The learner is asked a question from a Bank of questions - the questions are all the short answer questions (all are numeric responses only)

  If the learner type the right answer - all good and learning proceeds to the next question in the question Bank and is awarded 1 point.

  If the learner Gets the wrong answer, I want the learner to be presented at the same issue, but now the learner has a multiple choice question/answer.  This response has 1/2 a point if it is correct. Learner proceeds to the question in the question bank.

  If the learner chooses the wrong multiple choice answer as they are reset to 0 (zero) points and proceed to the next question in the question bank.

  Is the highest possible or am I being too adventurous, with a Bank of questions?

  I guess I'm looking to give to the student a second chance and try again the question however provide a different format for their response

  Question banks do not give you this level of control.  If your questions were NOT in a Bank of questions you can use advanced Actions to redirect your learners to a slide of specific question based on their response.  But you can't do that with question pools.

• Configureing Web server after installing Essbase on a distributed environment using the standard deployment methodology

  We have installed Oracle EPM (11.1.2.3) on an environment (Dev), distributed according to the standard methodology.

  On the first server we have foundation setup, aps, eas and on other servers (rest 5) we have setup an essbase, eis and studio alternately (Essbase transit all servers except on foundation server)

  As mentioned in the installation/configuration documentation we have run the configuration of websever on all servers and finally he ran on the server of the Foundation.

  There was no problem of erros/experienced in setting up however we would like to understand why we need to configure the Web server (on server 1 that has services of the Foundation) every time when we install products not based on the Web (Essbase, EIS and studio) on other servers... My question may sound silly but I'm confused, because these products are not accessible on the web.

  In addition, we also want to understand if we can monitor essbase services similar to the Foundation, aps and eas on the weblogic administration console.

  Based on my understanding, I guess we cannot monitor essbase server process on weblogic, however if it is possible to montior please let us know the procedure...

  You do not have configure it once again if you have installed only EIS and Essbase later.

  Using this link as a reference, I created a data control Web Service, and when I deploy via JDeveloper for different environments I can change my point of endpoint accordingly on this screen:

  

  However when I change my point of termination at the design time, the changes do not appear in the screen "Configuration of the deployment. This would not normally be a problem, but our automated deployment (maven/ant) seems to keep picking up the url "Deployment Configuration" instead of what we change in the DataControl.dcx.   It turns out that the connections.xml had the url of the endpoint that the profile of the deployment and jdeveloper was referencing at deployment time.

  In order to get our automated generation work, we use a search and replace of Ant utility to change endpoint in this connections.xml before construction/deployment of the application.

  We have developed the ADF application using MDS. We mainly use it to set the configuration of BC ADF (am pool properties) when running in EM.

  When we deploy our application usually JDeveloper 12.1.3 to standalone WLS JDeveveloper shows "Oracle Deployment Configuration" window, where we can specify properties MDS: repository name and the name of the Partition.

  

  If we deploy the same application to JDeveloper 12.1.3 shipped by BPM to the same autonomous WLS, Jdeveloper shows this window.

  Deploy goes without any additional question, but we can not access MDS for our application!

  EM, we cannot change configuration ADF BC during execution. Other features that require MDS, also does not work.

  In EM-> ApplicationDeployments-> our application-> MDS Configuration EM displays the following message: the SDM configuration information is not found. This application doesn't use MDS repository or repository MDS may not have been configured properly.

  

  So my question is: how to set MDS configuration in JDeveloper comes with BPM?

  OK, I compared the EAR generated file in Jdeveloper ordinary with file EAR generated by JDeveloper comes with BPM.

  I found the difference in the ADF - config.xml.

  EAR usually has the following line:

  I appreciate you are trying to help.  I expect to have a setting that I forgot.  Your suggestions were valid and I have test again each of these this morning.  I think I've identified the problem and it isn't really a problem code, setting issue or a question of GemFire. I think that our network of local offices has a particular configuration that affects GemFire in a unique way.

  In my test, I used localhost as the address for locators and remote control-locators.  I changed to be my explicit hostname and I do not see the error longer.  I am able to inspect bridges via gfsh and start them.  FYI: I witnessed a different symptom with the new product of the pulse.  When you try to deploy the war impulse locally I be watching only partial functionality.  The application of impulse load but could not inspect the data nodes, but I could see the locators.  I played with each of the possible combinations (ip address, host name, localhost, qualified domain host name) and the only way I could solve the problem of the impulse was to use the host name.  It smells the same number of local network.

  I'm working on a Windows desktop computer and use an active Windows with DHCP domain controller.  Production deployment is on RHEL and should not encounter these problems.

  I wish I had a standard multiple choice question. However, when I select the type 'class', the learner is not able to return to the issue later and change the answer and submit again.

  I need to be more "free-play" rather than a locked assessment.

  I tried the version of 'Investigation' of the questions multiple choice. However, he deletes comments "correct" and "incorrect."  He proposes that the popup 'incomplete '.

  In a Captivate quiz, you authorize several attempts at the quiz question level as well as at the level of the quiz.  However, Captivate designers felt that if your username you have the correct question while they wouldn't need to do it again. So the underlying concept behind several attempts is really that they are several UNSUCCESSFUL attempts.  Ditto for the level of trivia.  You can define several attempts to quiz, giving you the opportunity to have a Retake Quiz button on the results page of the Quiz that erases all the scores and directs the user to the first object scored in the project.  However, if your user passes the test, this button does not appear.

  If you want more flexibility, you will probably have to create your own quiz questions using interactive objects such as large areas of click, Smart forms, buttons and text entry boxes.  Then you can pretty much make it work as you want.

• How to deploy the blocker allowed parameters of sites on multiple computers?

  We run on Win 7 platform with ESR Firefox version 31.4.0. We want to disable the blocker for popups for specific sites. I tried to use FirefoxADM_0.5.9.4 to apply the Group Policy settings, but it does not work. When I look at the file firefox_login.vbs, there is a line mentioning registry parameter FirefoxPopupsWhitelistKey = WshShell.regread("HKCU\Software\Policies\Firefox\FirefoxPopupWhitelist") but I can not find this key on the computer.

  Is that what anyone has experience deploy this type of settings? If this isn't the case, I'm also open to hearing about how to disable the blocker for popups completely.

  If this can be done via Group Policy, please let me know another way I can do this. I read the topic: configuration config, but I found all the settings to disable the context menu.

  Firefox saves all exceptions to the permissions.sqlite file, so you need to use a SQLite Manager extension or program to modify this database.

  Disable the popup blocker in Firefox would be easier, as it would need only to switch a pref and can be done via a mozilla.cfg file.

  You can use a mozilla.cfg file in the Firefox program folder to lock the prefs or specify new values (default).

  Put a local file - settings.js in the folder defaults\pref also the file prefs.js - channel where to specify using mozilla.cfg.

• Can I deploy the same virtual machine to VMWare Player running of several PCs without network problems

  I am a newbie so please forgive if this is a stupid question...

  Can I deploy the same virtual machine (XP Pro), with the same machine name and the same GUID for several machines on a network without going through issues such as errors of names duplicate etc. Or will I sysprep prior to deployment.  If so, is there an easier way to do it?

  Not sure if this is important, but I need to use Bridged networking due to problems with our personal firewall.

  You will need to deal with the dupe GUID. Sysprep is a method.
