Failure of the mouse on laptop

Mouse and laptop mouse pad is default, refusing to work, but mouse works in safe mode startup. It doesn't seem to be a mechanical failure to think software. Mr. R8td

Both fail because you have both connected, that is why.

A "question of conflict."

Turn off one of them, via the 'properties' of one never allows you to disable.

Start/Control Panel / Device manager/mouse and other pointer devices. (Each title is a step... There you.)

When used in a "mobile situation' where you can't use the mouse, turn on again the key.

Turn it off, when you are probably at home.

In fact, this will make your mind about which upward turned off, depending on the circumstances you, does not?

Learn it, get used to him.

Easy.

Original title: CONTROLS the MOUSE for laptop

    Hello

Thank you for your question to Microsoft Community.

    Quick questions:

    1. What browser version are you working?
    2. What is the brand and model of the laptop?

    Case 1:

Mouse, touchpad and keyboard problems can have several causes:

    ·         Cables that are not connected correctly

    ·         Incorrect device settings

    ·         Missing updates

    ·         Corrupt or incompatible drivers

    ·         Hardware problems

As a first step, you can check the status of the devices by following the steps mentioned below:

    a. click Start, type Device Manager in theStart search box and press ENTER.

    b. Locate the mouse and other pointing devices and expand the same.

    c. click Pointing device and check its status.

    Method 1:

To enable the touchpad try these steps:

    a. click Start and select Control Panel.

    b. Select mouse.

    c. click on Device Settings.

    d. Select the touchpad device.

    e. click on turn on.

Note: The steps above are generic to any model of laptop. The parameters may vary depending on your model of laptop.

    Method 2:

If activation touchpad does not help, you can go ahead and uninstall the drivers of the touchpad and re - install the same thing again.

    To uninstall the touchpad drivers,

    a. click Start, type Device Manager in the Start search box and press ENTER.

    b. Locate the mouse and other pointing devices and expand the same.

    c. right click on the Touchpad driver and select Uninstall.

    d. restart the computer, if prompted.

Also I suggest you to consult the following link.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/help/Mouse-touchpad-and-keyboard-problems-in-Windows

    Case 2:

Now for the question of the toolbar, if you use these methods follow Internet Explorer:

    Method 1:

If an unwanted toolbar appears in Internet Explorer, you can turn it off using the Add-ons Manager. Sometimes, however, the problem may be more persistent. If the problem persists, start Internet Explorer in no add-on mode and then use the add-on Manager to disable all add-ons that you have not intentionally installed.

You can see the following link for more information:

    Manage Add-ons in Internet Explorer

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Internet-Explorer/Manage-Add-ons#IE=IE-8

    Method 2:

Most toolbars can be removed using Add / Remove programs.

    Uninstall or change a program

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/uninstall-or-change-a-program

    Method 3:

You can also use the specific toolbar removal tool to uninstall or remove the toolbar from the computer.

  • Satellite A30 - button of the mouse on laptop

    Hello

Do anyone know where I can get a new button left mouse for my satellite, it seems be worn with all usage, its rubbed on her silver medal.

    Thank you

    Hi Richard,

My SA30 did exactly the same thing. I was not able to find someone who can provide just the button. The normal suggestion is to replace the whole of the touchpad. I guess that I'll just have to put up with it.

    Kind regards

  • The mouse is feezeing

Hello there: here is my problem I have a Toshiba accounting NET nb505 with windows 7 starter. I had two updates in a row after the two updates that my mouse froze twice. I had to restart my computer by pressing the Start button, then press it again to restart. That is the wrong way to do it. I use the mouse for laptop not a separate mouse. I did system restore which seem to fix the problem, but now my computer wants to update again and I'm having the same problem. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks Jenmoon1

PS. Sorry for the questions of grammar and spelling. Here, very hard for me.

    Hello

What you have to do is to know what those are updated and if you need.

Read this piece of information about updates, how to find the problem, and then hide it:

Microsoft gives sometimes you updates for the 3rd party hardware: graphics, network cards, etc.

You should only get the latest drivers for them to real hardware manufacturer's website, as Microsoft normally does nor those have the most recent drivers available as Microsoft relies of the 3rd party hardware Manufactuer to provide.

But unfortunately, the only way to know which is the update of the problem is to install them one by one, until you find the 'wrong' for your installation.

You can do a system restore to get back until it has been installed (which is NOT the best way to remove an update) or follow this method:

    'Remove an update'

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/remove-an-update

'Remove an update - Windows 7'

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/remove-update#1TC=Windows-7

When you have found the issue of update of the list of updates which is presented > then right click on the update problem > select Hide update > and it will not be available to you once again

Here's how to chanage update settings, if you think it is necessary to:

"Understanding Windows Update and Extras in Windows Vista and Windows 7.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/Windows-Vista-updates-and-extras/

    Or the other of these two update settings will give you the chance to see what you want to install through Windows updates;

Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.

Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.

But remember you normally only have problems with hardware 3rd party drivers. Other updates are to improve the Performance and security of your system

    See you soon.

    Hi all

No, my laptop model is HP Pavilion dv6 1337tx. My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit. So, today, I shut my laptop down by force by pressing the power button because it did not at this time. Then the next time I turned it the wrong problem started. Whenever I'm on the HP logo sometimes and then the Windows logo comes also. But then the screen stays black and the mouse cursor appears. So, what can be the cause of this problem? I also tried to open with 'safe mode' and 'safe mode with command prompt', but they did not help either.

Note - I tried the method of discharge after taking off the battery and holding down the power button. He could not help. All LEDS are working properly. I have no extra monitor, so I can't check the display elsewhere. Also, I ran the memory test which shows that everything is fine. Please suggest what I can do now as I can not enter the laptop now. What can be the reason?

Is there a key on my laptop to immobilize the mouse in order to to fix a mobile mouse?

It depends on the laptop. Some laptops have a button somewhere or even have an option in the touchpad settings to automatically disable the touchpad when a USB mouse is connected. You will need to consult your manual for more information.

    Hello Rabbi,

    1. you remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?

2 have you tried the mouse on another computer?

    Method 1:

Alternatively, you can try to uninstall and reinstall the mouse and check if that helps:

    a. Click Start, point to settings and then click Control Panel.

    b. double-click system click on hardware and then click Device Manager.

    c. click on the PLUS SIGN to expand unit

    d. double-click on the mouse driver.

    e. tab driver, click on uninstall

    f. restart the computer and check

    See the following article:

Troubleshoot the incidents of the response to the mouse or wireless keyboard

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/838398

    Method 2:

If the problem persists, test the mouse on another computer in a different environment. If you can replicate the problem in a different environment, you have a defective unit. If this is the case, see the section "More information" for more information on how to contact Microsoft Supplemental Parts for a replacement unit.

    See the following article:
