• Is it possible to design business cards

  I am a newcomer in the world of Photoshop Elements, in fact I've only loaded the program on my computer 10 minutes ago.

  While browsing through Photoshop Elements I noticed that in the section 'Create' so that it can do most of the things I don't see if you could

  design business cards, someone has already tried this & how successfully.

  You can design a card with PSE (complete Edition, simply create a blank document the size of a card and do what you want), but the ESP is not good for the printing plates cards. You register your card in an image as tiff format and place it in a model (you can get free biz models of cards of all the companies that sell the pre cut, like Avery stock) in your page layout or word processing program. PSE is before all a photo editor and has many limitations as layout of page/word processing software. This is not really what it is intended.

• When a 'design' is done after several layers, one caught last layer, then save them and JPEG to send?  I'm designing greeting cards.

  I need some advice as a self-taught digital artist over the years, I've created illustrations/designs that I hope to sell greeting card companies.  As I work (create) the design I select constantly new layers as I go along and make changes until the final 'Aha' what!  Then I save it - last-finish-layer and also JPEG- like 'ready' to shown.

  I hope this is the right way to do it?   Also once "blew up" design - zoom, up to what there are pixels and then I - clean lines and correct all the tasks of color or bleeding on the lines.   I never know how every last little pixel must be perfect; I happening lately days... will for example the stars I have on a Christmas tree.

  I'm 75 and started this 'fun' 25 years ago.  I published once by Marcel Schulman - Papyrus, but at that time, it was all done by hand.  After that, I began to ANALYZE what I drew, then work-it via Photoshop.

  Most of the years that I paint with oils/pastels/watercolor...and the 'cards' were a means of - warm, if I'm "stuck" for awhile.  But I find the process fun and very

  relax... Finally, I would like to know what the devil I have do IS what needs to be done so that I can... .go ahead and start sending again for card companies.

  First of all if you want to sell to greeting card companies know what they want.  If they want a certain size and resolution. You create your art at this size and resolution, or a little bigger.  To resize smaller images work better then resizing image upwards in size.

  You must always save work you as PSD files, so you can continue working on your art. If you do everything.  For the Greating card company save you what ever they want the psd.  Most likely will want a jpeg color space sRGB.  They may however want a CMYK image to a printer. As long as you have your PSD you must be able to create the file they want.

• Should which application I use to design business cards by Adobe?

  I'm currently designing the business card in photoshop CC but when I jum + my design so I know it is not perfact. It wouldn't be good for printing. But what application would be perfact.

  Illustrator or InDesign are the best choices for business cards.

  Photoshop is for image editing, and although it can work with text, it is not the best choice for typographic control, nor the most intuitive to make layouts.

• CMS OVA, adding the second NETWORK card breaks the first NETWORK card

  You should add 'VMXNET3' type if you use VMWare, if you chose something else, you invalidate your license, see section 3.3 of the virtualized CMS 2.0 Setup Guide for deployments.

• Card design

  I am working on the design of cards and a few questions:

  First of all, it's doubly my metadata. So that it displays the title and article twice in each card. Can't understand why.

  Also, I know that the Fast Company app was built using DPS (2015). And I don't know that they have people technique fancy-valves. But how did get vertical transitions on so nice cards? (As with the triangular bottom and scrolling?) And how do you get "pointing out" on the title?

  And a question more randomly, I missed how do what a landscape rather than portrait app, if you want?

  The doubling of the metadata is a known bug that the dev team is working on the resolution.

• Need new video card for an HP dc7900

  The original video card failed on my dc7900 (purchased in 2009) - a Nvidia Quadro NVS 290 PCie x 16. A repairman replaced with an ATI Radeon x 300 / x 550 but performance index increased from 3.2 to 2.0 and the driver is apparently causing BSOD when I use Google Earth or let the screensaver start. If I turn off the screen saver, the PC will crash when I work. ATI/AMD says it does not support the card under Windows 7 and their drivers for Vista. I have Windows 7 Ultimate with two monitors.

  I would get an updated map, but the designation of cards is a little confused and I don't know if the cards would work in the PC. It has PCI 1 and 2. The Quadro 290 has 256 MB. Can I switch to a 300, say, 512 MB, or even something more? The HP site for the dc7900 page recommend the Nvidia card but it does not sell and is not a recommendation of an alternate member. NVIDIA has not responded to an email asking a model of upgrade. Any suggestions? No problem, I have to be concerned as enough food?

  Thank you for the information. I ordered the card and hope it lasts. Good to know that speed chart will be better than the original map. I used to build my own PC from 386, 486 (using SCSI and OS/2 disks) and through first processors Pentium but the motherboard changes left most of my obsolete spare parts. It is safer not to do on the bleeding edge.

  On another forum, someone gave me advice on the use of Bluescreenview to know what causes accidents. It turns out that the ATI driver is the cause, and probably because the card is not supported under Windows 7 by the site Web of ATI. Once again, thanks for the help - these forums are great!

  Sweet video for Dimension 4700 card?
  I was given an old Dell 4700 of Dimension that has the integrated VGA video connector and never had a video card. The computer came with a modem only in the PCI 1 slot and the PCI Express x 16 slot is empty.
  I read old posts here on this subject, but most is outdated and some recommend cards that use too much power for the 305 watt power supply.
  It's so confusing when I look at say a HD5450 there are so many brands and versions his crazy confusion.

  AMD made graphic processor chips and sells them to manufacturers of cards, who exploit them in turn to produce finished their own individual designs graphics cards.

  The 5450 is cheaper than the 6450 and consumes less power, but it is less powerful and has fewer features. My favorite range low graphics card is the 6450 Sapphire, and I bought some of them for use in old Dells.

• I can't print business cards

  I bought a HP Officejet Pro 8500 a and Print artist version 23. I use the software and design business cards, take the A4 (which is a product of Avery 8571) and then print. The end result is the printer prints about 1/4 inch on the brands of preferated to the left. The alignment is off and I ruined sheets of cards preferated. I use regular paper now just to see if I can solve the problem but after exhausting all possibilities including choosing A5 and the creation of business cards 2x3.50 on the software, the printer still refuses anything else print that off to the left.

  Any suggestions?

• Why browse cards, banners and pages don't are not scaling in android - Adobe DPS 2015?

  We are experiencing some problems with an Android app, built from Adobe DPS 2015 project.  The application displays beautifully on the iPad, but not so much on android. Note that the droid app is tested via a custom app .apk file

  1. the banner at the top of the page, we have created is not updated with scaling on android. See photos of comparison for iPad vs. Android. What can be done to remedy this?

  

  2. the articles are scaling very well in android, but the navigation pages and maps are not welcoming to the android the bottom navigation bar. They pared down type and you cannot scroll through a more far to see.  Apart from the re-design of cards to move any upward, is it possible to fix?  See photos of comparison for iPad vs. Android. .

  

  What I've noticed, it's only on iOS, cards for 'full picture' default, even if you have not explicitly chosen "full image", but on Android, they don't use 'full picture' until actually go you and select the map editor.

  

  Until I click on the enlarged Image, everything on Android looks like your screenshot.  Try to check "Full Image" is actually selected.  I'll bet that $0.01 it is not set to one.

• Design of images of the map

  are there good ground rules in the design of your card images?

  How do determine you the "live space" for the image of your card?  to make your design not get trimmed or cut?

  At that time, DPS 2015 does the following:

  -The aspect ratio card format and image (for the top, left and right image) determine the shape and size of the image under the influence of size of card (column & row) and the proportions of the provision.

  -L'image of the map (for articles, banners and collections) is adjusted to fill the area of the image of the map, then centered and cropped.

  General orientation is to use a large images for all images in the card so that you get a good result for the large maps as well as small cards.

  But the main focus at this point is to be very aware of what is at the center of the image. "Artsy" rule of third-party images will not survive.

  There is an interaction between these factors and you have to play with the design of card to make your work plan. Make graphics for a wide and short card image fill the maximum space of a map may take some fiddling with serious at first. Look at the scale to fill the result very carefully.

  N.B. - the brand image is treated differently.

  Brand image is adjusted to adapt, instead of the scale to fill. We do not crop the image of brand.

  1. a card will be visible on your 'page to browse' If you do not have any content tie him?

  I am trying to create a master page to browse to get an idea about how we would like to see the content displayed.

  But... nothing is made, everything I tried to create a mock up will not push through to the app.  I tried everything I can to make that happen.

  I have been using the 'Preview' icon to synchronize changes made to the application on my device... and I also tried the way Neil to just delete the app and re-install with itunes etc.  For some reason any, whenever I do this, the application will display usually just a totally white screen with no top navigation bar.  Other times... I'll take the navigation bar with a notification "content not found".

  Maps are Visual representation for a piece of content, then Yes, he should always have content to Word your navigation page. This makes it difficult to try to design your navigation page when you have still no real content in your account. We are working on a new tool to help with this, but it is still in development.

  What I usually do is create banners instead of items when starting a new project. A banner can be just an image and requires no content behind it or can point to a URL (such as something on your existing Web site) If you want that your initial to be a little more interactive exploration. Do a bunch of banners as placeholders for your content, add them to collections and then design your cards and layouts. Once you have tinkered with the cards and layouts, you can begin to replace the banners with articles (or other collections) that are your real content.

  If the content does not appear in your viewer is probably because you have not properly configured your top-level collection. I suggest going through getting started with videos of Colin with our getting started sample content, it's a good way to mind-meld with the TLC and turn it on.
