as stated on the site of HP

Help please?

Hi CR3Mum,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read your thread on all-in-one printer, HP Deskjet 2510 and the wireless connection. Here is a link to the product specifications for you HP Deskjet 2510. This shows me that this printer is not wireless.

Thank you.

  • The HP DeskJet F4480 is set up for wireless printing?

    Hello

When I bought my F4480, I thought it was a wireless printer.  I currently have a desktop Mac Power PC G4 running Tiger (10.4.11) and a computer laptop windows XP Pro running. The printer is connected via USB to a Mac, and I tried to set up printing wireless on the laptop. After several hours of trying, googling and looking for the manual, I finally decided to post here.

Question 1 can we do? (if the answer is no, then "thank you" and I'll be on my way...)

Question 2 in the affirmative and who have already installed the necessary drivers on my laptop, what is the next step?

Sorry to be such a fool. Thanks in advance.

Series F4400 (including your part done F4480) has USB connectivity only.  The series F4500 has USB and wireless.

But, with the printer connected to your Mac, you can share printing works (but not scan) between the computers on your network.  To do this download and install Hello for Windows for your XP from here.  If your XP already has a version of Hello (installed by iTunes), uninstall before installing this version.

Run it and it will find the printer connected to your Mac.  Make sure that your Mac is enabled and that it is set to never sleep (System Preferences > energy saver).

  • I know this may seem silly, but do I need a USB for my printer it prints wireless?

I just bought an all in one, but it's to the store for pickup. I was wondering if I should also buy a USB cable too while I'mthere for pickup?  I know it's the eprint and also the AirPrint (which was the main reason I bought it) then this is a must for the cable?

It is to make installation easier for most people... I have available USB cables, but I've never used one when my loan C310 setting up or feel like 110 wireless printers with many laptops and two desktops.

There are a lot of configuration help in the HP wireless printing Center.

    Hello

You should be able to connect the two, but not Ethernet and wireless at the same time.

  • Update firmware for wireless printer?

I recently bought a LaserJet CP1525nw.  It is NOT light and it is located in a central area of my house.  It has integrated wireless and I have a wireless connection to it.  One of my PC is an HP and its pilot of routine updates check revealed that the new firmware is available for the printer. The firmware update description says that it can be run successfully on a network or through a USB connection.  Of course, my "network connection" is wireless and I have heard in the past that the firmware updates should be made via a wired connection only.  On the other hand, I have never had a printer that has been designed to operate on a wireless connection.

So my question is... is it safe allow the update of the firmware to do wireless, or do I need to connect the printer via USB?

    Thank you...

I've updated my cp1525nw, wireless, no problem.

  • Printer maybe Setup connects through USB and wireless printing? or either one or the other?

I would like to connect my printer to the since my MAC using a USB cable and also be able to use the wireless printing functionality without having to reconfigure my printer.  Is this possible?

    I have a Photosmart 7520

    Hello

All my tests were using Windows, but I think we can do it for Windows why not Mac. It takes config of the printer as a wireless printer (IE to connect to a network) and install drivers, or applications on OTHER computers and mobile devices.

    Kind regards.

  • Canon MX870 - need to reinstall the printer for wireless printing, whenever I reboot computer

    Hello

I had my Canon MX 870 for almost 4 years now and have always printed wireless. A few weeks ago my printer started to appear offline when I started my laptop and the only way I could get the printer back online was to remove the printer and reinstall the software again. Since then, every day, I have to remove the printer and reinstall the software and driver in order to use the wireless printer.

I tried all known bugs and nothing has worked.

Does anyone have suggestions on what could cause this problem?

    Hello.

The issue you describe seems to be linked to a timeout between the router and the printer.  In this case, he should be advised that you turn the printer off and on again in order to refresh the connection to the network.  I apologize for the inconvenience.

If additional information is required, please call us at 1-800-OKCANON.

  • Problem setting deskjet 3050 610 a for wireless printing

    Hello.

Try to put in place a deskjet 3050 610 a in a wireless network. Printer works fine when connected to USB, but it fails with "Error_000057" when trying to print wireless.

Router is a BT Home hub 2

With the help of an acer laptop runing windows 7 32 bit, connected wireless to the router (and online)

Printer is connected to the network, blue light turned on, the IP address displayed

Have tried to disable the firewall (AVG)

    Tried to reinstall software

Using the latest version (DJ3050_610_231) of the driver from the HP website

    Any ideas, anyone?

    Thanks in advance.

Print a network from the front of the printer test.  If it is connected to your router?

If so, your AVG is probably the issue.  Download and run this utility: http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Nav?h_pagetype=s-926&h_lang=en&h_client=s-h-e17-1&h_keyword=dg-NDU&jumpid=ex_r4155/en/hho/ipg/forum/network_diag/

  • Setting up Deskjet 6988 for wireless printing after a reset to the factory settings, using Mac OS 10.8

Hi - How re - connect to my printer wirelessly after a reset to the factory settings? I use Mac OS 10.8. The network on the printer flashes, and on the Mac, it is listed as "not connected". And the page of report confirms that he has lost all of its data.

Fortunately, I made a report page before resetting, so I think that I know all of the critical information, I need to come back here, but I can't figure out how to do this.

I read the installation guide, who said to use an ethernet cable and the CD of HP, but I don't have the CD anymore.

I tried an ethernet cable and entering the IP address of the printer, but which did not, perhaps because it has more this IP address.

I tried the steps hereand downloaded the latest version of the HP update software software, but I don't see my printer. I went from my wifi to hpsetup network and then I could see and add a second new instance of my printer, but it did not help, because this second instance of the printer is not connected or the other.

Interestingly, when I am connected to hpsetup, I can print.

Can someone help me to re - connect this printer? I'll save the reason for reset for another post!

    Thank you very much!

FIXED! Sunshyne2005, thanks a lot to direct me to the solution!

    Here's what worked:

    1. Connect to hdsetup
    2. Press the report Page button on the printer (the one with the box)
    3. Continue with step 3 of the Sunshyne2005: open a browser and enter the IP address of hdsetup.
    4. Look around for the wireless configuration wizard (sorry, I can't access is no longer hdsetup, and I just don't remember where it is)
    5. Enter the SSID (name) of the wireless network and the password
    6. Note: You will see a button to finish, but it has no effect. At this point, the printer is successfully added to the wireless network and access the hdsetup disappears. Therefore, the wizard will no longer work, but the important thing is that the printer is connected. : )

    Thanks again, Sunshyne2005!

  • Photosmart C4580: How can I configure my Photosmart C4580 printer for wireless printing?

Hi, I changed my wireless network name, so my printer is no longer connected to it.

I tried to set up the new name wireless using Windows 10 but I can't figure out how to do it. I tried to do by using the HP Solution Center software, but I get this message (see photo).

Can anyone help to reconfigure my printer?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi XE1RDR!

Let me show you how to install your printer to your computer windows 10. But let me put your expectations that the printer driver may or may not work because it has already exceeded and your current operating system is the latest Microsoft.

Well, lets move on to serious things.

    1. first of all, you must have the printer attached to your computer USB cable/cord.

    2. then download the driver complete features of the printer by clicking on the link: http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Photosmart-C4500-All-in-One-Printer-series/3575173/model/3575174

    -Select SOFTWARE and DRIVERS

    3 download the full driver

    4. run the file and install the printer through the USB port

    5. once the installation is complete, run the program again

    6. this time, select CONVERT to without WIRE USB

    7. continue with installation and the last part should ask you to remove the USB cable to complete the installation

Your printer must be set by default, and then try to print.

    Good luck bro!

  • USB and wireless printing on PhotoSmart 7525

We recently purchased a printer all-in-one PhotoSmart HP 7525.  I created the printer via a USB cable to a single computer (the main desktop computer).  The printer works perfectly in this way.

We also have a wireless network and other devices on the network to use the HP printer.  However, the main desktop computer doesn't have wireless connectivity, it's why I connected the printer with a USB cable.  I don't want to replace Wireless USB connectivity.  I want to add wireless capabilities, so we have two options available (USB only for the desktop, wireless for iPhones, ipads and other computers on the wireless local area network).  Furthermore, I realize that we need to install the printer drivers on any PC without wire that we want to have access to the PhotoSmart printer.

What I want to do is to leave the main computer set up exactly as it is (USB connection).  I want to put the printer on the wireless network without disturbing this set-up.  What is the best way to add this printer to our network on the main computer wireless capability wireless?

Thanks a lot for your help.

In fact for the specific printer you can do it from the Panel as well.

Follow these steps to connect the printer to the new network by using the Wireless Setup Wizard.

  • What is the best strategy for wireless printing?

    Hello

I just got a HP 6500 a wireless all in one printer and have connected a cable ethernet to our wireless router. My desktop under Vista Home Premium is also connected to the router. Printing from the Desktop works fine. We also want to print wireless from a couple of Windows computer laptop, an iPhone and an iPad. I installed the driver of HP Mobile E-print on laptops and it works but I think limiting the size (5 MB) is a problem. I could not print a single page pdf, but a Word doc print very well.

So, it looks as I could:

R: Connect the printer to the computer by USB and share the printer on the network. Inconvenience - I think that I have to leave the office all the time and we did not have much success sharing our old HP printer.

B: install the printer on the network via ethernet and use the built-in web server. So I guess I install the printer on every computer software?

C: connect the printer wireless. Is this different from option B, other than do not use a cable? The printer is located near the router and the desktop computer for the cable is not a problem.

I know it may just come down preferably individual, but I would be grateful for any advice as to what direction to go.

    Thank you.

    Dirt gardener

A is not a good solution.  USB sharing printers printers have so many disadvantages, including some you described.  In addition, only print can be shared, not analysis or by fax.

I like B the best.  Ethernet is superior wireless if you can connect this way - no password, without interference and is usually a faster interface.  Install the printer software on each computer (from the "Support & drivers" link at the top of this page, not a CD).

C is OK, but only if you can not connect by Ethernet.
