  Looks like you're talking about the project being marked in sheet with a clear paper. If so, the printer must simply be able to print a strong image in the form of the stamp paper.

  This is usually accomplished by using a spot color to fill the paths that will define the shape of the foil stamp. For example, you can simply set a Spot named "ClearFoil" color swatch, draw the shapes that will foil stamped, apply this Swatch to these objects and define their fillings to overprint.

  Even if it's an organizational convenience , commonly used to put these objects on a separate layer, it is not strictly necessary to do so. (This seems to be a recurring misunderstanding in this forum lately that the layers are somehow related to the separation of the colors). What is important is that objects print separations of individual colors (inks). This has nothing to do with which layers these objects are located on.

  But in the case of things like stamps of aluminum foil, varnish or cut out, it is usually wise and practical to put these objects themselves named layer. (For example, name the layer "Map Stamp".) I installed the driver of HP Mobile E-print on laptops and it works but I think limiting the size (5 MB) is a problem. I could not print a single page pdf, but a Word doc print very well.

  So, it looks as I could:

  R: Connect the printer to the computer by USB and share the printer on the network. Inconvenience - I think that I have to leave the office all the time and we did not have much success sharing our old HP printer.

  B: install the printer on the network via ethernet and use the built-in web server. So I guess I install the printer on every computer software?

  C: connect the printer wireless. Is this different from option B, other than do not use a cable? The printer is located near the router and the desktop computer for the cable is not a problem.

  A is not a good solution.  USB sharing printers printers have so many disadvantages, including some you described.  In addition, only print can be shared, not analysis or by fax.

  I like B the best.  Ethernet is superior wireless if you can connect this way - no password, without interference and is usually a faster interface.  Install the printer software on each computer (from the "Support & drivers" link at the top of this page, not a CD).

  C is OK, but only if you can not connect by Ethernet.

  Until a short time ago, I always been able to easily print PDFs of Web sites (IE forms).  Lately, the same print screen is displayed when I select print but the print option is missing.  The only available options are save or cancel.  I can always print the doc by saving it to my desktop, but many preferred printing in a single step.  Why have changed my options?  Is there a way to get it back as it was?  Here is a screenshot of what I see now:

  Same thing: the printer will print saved/downloaded PDF OR file you need to open the PDF files under a reader such as Adobe reader pdf. The file in your screenshot is NOT a pdf file.

  Update: Let's ' make me a bit cleaer. The screenshot page isn't a PDF only the PON. If you want to print the PON, you need a save, then print or (b) on the PON and pdf reader opens and you can print it from there.
