Hi @stephen_ford,.

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support with your pilot's request.

I understand that you were wndering if there is a basic print driver available for the printer HP Officejet Pro 8000 - compatible with Windows 10 A809 series. I would like to help.

I don't see the basis for this model drivers. The only software and driver available for download is the software HP Officejet full feature and the driver. You can go to the software and the drivers download page by clicking here.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

Indeed, if this help you to achieve a solution please click the 'accept as Solution' and the 'thumbs up' buttons down below in this message.

Thank you!

====================================================

What I have not said in my question, it is that I welcomed the HP Support Assistant help with installing the driver. The installation has started and then fell in a heap. He seemed to gather a set of diagnosics and send it's out of HP and that was the last I heard. I don't know what caused what. HPSA maybe even helped to reduce collateral damage, I don't know, but what I know is that between HP and Microsoft...

NOBODY TOLD ME THAT INSTALLING WINDOWS 10 COULD STOP MY PRINTER WORKS...!

And installation has been fairly stable at best. At worst, it was a traumatic experience because of my PC to my work...

So this morning I decided to try again and began the installation of the printer driver entirely embodied by choosing down, load the file only without the help of HPSA.

When the installation began, I discovered that apps in fully embodied installation could be deselected (I did with joy... ).

From there the wireless installation proceeded easily according to the driver installation only Win7...

Ahhhh... happiness... :-)

Windows 10 / printer HP 5530 visible, ping-measure but "installing network without success" - workaround

    (FYI)

Problem: Windows 10 laptop (previously Windows 7) would not install HP 5530 wireless printer using the HP installation software.

(Other portable, always running Windows 7, install the same software of the printer without a problem.) All computers had until then used a HP 5510 without problem).

The printer can be "seen" by phone, via a router, in the dialogues of installation software, but 'installation network without success' has been reported: in other words, after identification and selection of the printer on the network, install "spun" for several minutes until the outage has been reported. (Installation by USB connection was successful, but still later without success in wireless network installation).

Printer able ping go laptop all the time, and test page was printed wireless through the web page HTTP printer (e.g. 192.168.1.x) parameters.

Firewall has been abandoned and latest drivers from the web site HP downloaded - however, Setup still not at the same point each time.

Solution: In Windows 10, start menu: -.

Printer Settings\Devices\Add or Scanner\Printer I want to is not listed\Add by the TCP/IP address [use the IP address identified from the display or printing settings printer] - check the box for pilot chosen automatically by Windows.

(In other words, add the printer as a printer without using HP installation software at all.)

Result: the printer is available (after restart) wireless on the laptop - seemingly normal and as a shared printer - wireless printing was possible.

  • HP Laserjet installation on Windows 2012 print server

    Hello Forums HP

I try to add a Hp Laserjet P4515 on a Server Windows 2012 print and update its parameters to itself all 6 trays installed.

I realized that on a Windows Server 2003 print using HP PCL 5 universal print drivers by using the Automatic Configuration under device settings option in the printer properties. However, following the same procedure on the server of 2012 option Update configuration is missing.

I left the configuration of the printer automatically select the driver which is listed as HP LaserJet P4515 PCL6 on the name of the driver class and Micorsoft Point and print on the Advanced tab.

Does anyone know how to get the driver to update the config?

    Regards,

    Cam

I finally got this working. Remove the printer and starting from scratch.

I have downlaoded 32-bit and 64-bit drivers PCL6 and extracts into a folder. Started the installation of the new printer manually and unchecked the box detect automatically the driver. Come in 64 bit location extracted folder and allow the driver to install manually. When installation is completed I went the printer properties/sharing tab and select additional drivers and checked the x 86 button. Then, said the browser in the 32-bit extracted folder.

  • Windows 7 printing with the HP DesignJet 4000ps printer. PLT files

I have a bit of an interesting problem. Our HP Designjet 4000ps is connected to the network and available via a windows print server or directly via the IP address.  To print our files .plt CAD, for years, I simply added an action to the. PLT file type association to run a batch file by default so that when I double-clicked on a .plt file, it could be copied by the script for batch processing on behalf of the plotter print queue. It worked great until upgraded to Windows 7.  Now when I copy a .plt file to the print queue, the name of the document in the queue of work just appears as a work #xy and has a date unknown and no username listed. The same thing happens if I used the FTP for the tracer to place the file, however to track down an old XP machine and verification of my batch script as well as the method of FTP, the name of the document, date and user name all appear incorrectly in the work queue.

If anyone else has experienced this? Is this something the way that Windows 7 print spooler works? Is there a way to fix this? If I use the interface for Server Web Designjet 4000ps to send files, everything is correctly listed. This happens only when I'm attemping to copy the file directly to the queue or using FTP on Windows 7.

    HI -.

I followed the instructions to the title of the other positions and installed the A920 on my Windows 8 print driver, however, when printing it seems to be a problem to identify the ink levels.  The display window shows no ink and therefore does not allow the queue to proceed.  Is there a cure for this problem?

    Try the following...

First run, delete print jobs to eliminate any print job stuck in the queue.

    Unplug the printer.

Download and run the patch (cleaning printer utility) until it prompts you to restart your computer.

Restart your computer. Make sure that the printer is deleted. Driver Manual printer removal

Download the 32-bit drivers for Windows 8 32 bit Vista or 64-bit drivers for 64 bit Vista Windows 8. Install the Vista drivers in Vista compatibility mode, you will get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at the moment (power on).

  • Windows 7 print spooler crashes

Running Windows 7 Pro with all the latest updates...  Installed a HP 1600 with the latest HP drivers and local printing works very well.

Set the printer to be shared on the network.

Installed the latest drivers from HP on the other 3 machines with the latest operating system upgrades...  (1) Windows 7 Pro, (2) Windows 7 Starter, 3-Vista 32.

Print jobs sent from any of the 3 other computers to the shared device deepen the impression that but crash.

Jobs will not print until I have stop and restart the spooler service for printing on Windows 7 Pro machine to which the printer is physically attached.

However, I have connected the printer directly to my router and all computers can print without problem.

For me it nails down to be a problem with the Windows 7 print spooler or a parameter that it controls.

So, is this the print spooler, or is it a setting at the origin of the problem?

And, if it is a parameter, one that or those?

On the Ports tab in the printer properties on the computer that is sharing the printer, uncheck enable bidirectional.  The HP language monitor needs access to a resource that has only the local administrator.  When you restart the spooler of jobs are planned in the context of the system rather than the context to users.

  • Windows 7 x 64 Driver for Canon i9100 printer

When I try to install my Canon i9100 printer on my HP laptop running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, Windows is unable to locate a driver.  Visit the Canon Website, I find an update for Windows driver module.  Cannon wrote that the printer MUST be installed using Windows Updater before their update of the driver can be installed.  I tried everything, but I can not get Windows to find a driver.  Windows Update says that my computer is Up To Date.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you

    David

I'm also not able to install the necessary drivers from Microsoft to connect my Canon i9100 printer.  Can you direct me to the correct driver site?  I have a windows 7 64-bit operating system.

When Canon says that "your printer must be installed through Microsoft Update before you download and use this module", this does not mean you should run Windows Update (or Microsoft Update).

The Support Engineer's view is not correct: Windows Update can't find a new driver for a device that is not yet installed.

    A, Normal mode

What does the message mean, is that your computer must be connected to the Internet when you try to install the Canon i9100.  When you connect the printer, Windows should search for a driver.  When it cannot find a driver locally, you should get a pop-up message asking permission to connect to Windows Update to search for a driver.  You should allow this.  Windows should then find the driver online, download it and complete the installation.

If this does not work, you can get the driver in one of two ways.

    B. manually through Windows Update.

    1. Unplug the printer from the computer
    2. Click Start > devices and printers
    3. Click "add a local printer.
    4. Click "Use an existing port" and leave the default to LPT1, and then click Next
    5. Select the Canon in the list of manufacturers
    6. Confirm that there is no entry for the i9100 in the list of printers, and then click 'Windows Update'
    7. Wait... This may take some time... when it's done, check the i9100 is now listed
    8. Leave the printer Installation Wizard
    9. Connect the printer to a USB port and it should now install correctly

    C. go to the Windows Update Catalog

Even if the above methods should work, you also learned how to https://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Home.aspx using Internet Explorer only , and search for "Canon i9100.  You should get 5 hits.  Click on each of the drivers for Windows 7.  Look at the line that reads "Architecture."  If you have Windows 7 32 bit, you need the x 86 version.  If you have Windows 7 64 bit, you need the AMD64 version.  The procedure to install a driver got that way is a bit complex.  If the methods A or B do not work, post to get further instructions.

    Hi Spencer.

    ,

Thanks for your reply. I was trying to avoid buying Microsoft Office 2010. After downloading Office I couldn't yet open MSWorks. My next step was to talk to someone at Microsoft.  This young lady was extremely helpful and patient with me. Software has been installed called 'conversion of works '. I just click on works document choose Word and that's it. After talking with her, I am now 'smarter than a fifth. Now, I love my better Windows 8, but not as much as Vista yet.

    Sorry for the letter.
