    Hello JothinVedere

After you have re-installed Windows XP, you can go on the site Web of Norton and download the software from their part. Once you have downloaded it you should be asked for an email or an account that you configured when you first bought Norton, log. After that, Norton is turned on with the rest of the time for your subscription should be displayed. If you have further questions about Norton, you can click on their link to support here. My Windows 7 computer is not find wireless networks after I did a system restore. It was perfectly good wifi before the system restore and other members of my family have a great connection except me is not a problem with my router. I think I know what the problem is, but I just don't know how to fix it. So there you go. I did my restore system about 2 days after that we moved on the provider of internet/tv "Comcast" to the tv/internet provider "Verizon". what I think has happened, is that I restored my computer to the point when we had no Verizon so that he could not find the network. Now, since we have Comcast it won't identify this network either, so maybe some of you out there could help me. : D

  • How can I fix what's wrong with my system restore when it is 'failed' to restore of any "Restore Points?

Well, what is said.  I see all kinds of "restore points", highlighted in the restore calendar page.  But any day or I choose to restore point, the result is the same.  "Unsuccessful system restore" computer is returned to the...  (I don't know how they phrase it exactly, but the key is exactly the way it was when I started with optimism the restore process.)

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?
Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, MSE, Comodo, etc..
What is the issue that you are experiencing that you think that the system restore will be remedied (or you are just convenient)?  System Restore is not a time machine.
Some tools Anti Virus 'protect' your system so that they will not allow a restore of the system work properly.
For example, if you use Norton/Symantec products, you will see a message like this:
Restoration incomplete. Your computer cannot be restored...
It is also a popular Symantec problem (well, I'll be polite and call an "undocumented feature"...), they wrote an article about it:
According to what you use for malware protection, you may need to disable the product temporarily, do the system restore and then turn the products light up again when the system restore is complete.
Sometimes you need start your system in Mode safe and so that your protection programs are not running, and then do the system restore.  Tips from Microsoft in some of their articles that if the system restore does not restore your computer, start in Safe Mode, and then run the system restore.  It works for some configurations.
System Restore is sometimes so afflicted or Restore Points are suspicious, the best solution is to reinstall your system restore.  This will remove the old Restore Points, but sometimes it's the only way to fix a broken system restore.  You don't have to reinstall XP, only the part of system restore.
That can leave you with your problem of unspecified origin that you hope the system restore will fix (using a system restore is usually not equivalent to fixing the problem though).
Give these ideas some consideration if they apply to you.
  • How to limit the amount of space drive that system restore uses

original title: how to cut system restore in two points

my hard drive is almost full.and I'm cutting the system restore in half of all aid

    Thank you ken

You can remove all restore points by turning off the system.  but then I'll make a new restore point for today.

Open Control Panel systems and on the System Restore tab, you can make adjustments to the functionality.

is incidentally, deletion of restore points can be counterproductive because they really do take up that much space, and you might not have as a safety net restore points to restore your system.

really, you should consider adding a second hard drive to your system because programs and Web pages are only more complex and bigger in size.  If you will not be able to escape the possible low disk space problem.

either way, microsoft provides 25 GB of free space on this skydrive site, where you can download and store your personal files.

  • How can I change my desktop background in Windows 7 Home Premium.

When I try to change say that cannot set this picture as wallpaper. Please someone give me the instructions to fix this problem.

    Hello Jules.

Have you tried to use customize them, or right click on the photo in question? Also, what is the size and the resolution of the photo in question?

The easiest way to add a photo for wallpaper is to right click on the desktop and select Personalize. When this window opens there are a big box that shows my themes, Aero themes, etc... Lower than a row of buttons, select the first button is labeled wallpaper. Which opens a new window that has several options in a drop-down list at the top left. Click on that and who says 'Wallpapers' open, and then click Browse.

Who opens an Explorer window - like that allows you to browse the files on your computer until you find the picture you want. Select the photo in question. Make sure you click on save changes and return. This should give you the picture you want.

Let me know if this solves the problem for you.

  • Computer desktop and other windows suddenly too large to fit on the screen. Attempt to restore the system without success. Under XP, chrome on a Toshiba Satellite

Example: In the task bar, the start icon is off the screen.

Thanks for your effort. Nothing worked! However, I found that the external monitor that I had attached to my laptop was the problem. I unplugged and the image on the screen of the laptop is back to normal. I appreciate your efforts and the opportunity to explore these issues in non-judgment, inexpensive (free). Kudos to the volunteers. (I never could understand how to upgrade the graphics driver)

  • Using the step of Dell on Windows 7: how your choice to the top of the screen or restore changes

It is my second computer with Windows 7.  The first has a list of links that have folders for my programs on top of the screan I might add, delete, add my programs to and change the images of.  It can be moved around the screen and has been extremely useful.  I just got a laptop with Windows 7 and the list ONLY allows me to change the name of the tiles, which are MUCH larger and along the bottom of the screen.  A placement I find extremely difficult to use.  Is it possible to change this back to the way it was?  Or at least back up to the top of the screen?

    Thank you

  • How many times do I need to do a system repair disk?

I think I should create a new image system after installing, for example, some Windows updates.  Yes?

But how many times I have to create a repair update disc?

You really need a cd of WinPE recovery or a second to school although flash player is always a good thing that I always do one of each.
