Desktop cannot be changed with a solid color

Original title : I'm not able to add a picture on my desk - does not even try to treat when I select.  Allow me to change the color.

I'm not able to place a background image on my desktop.  Even when I select a photo (I tried various photos) and press 'apply', he can't even process the change.

If I select a different color and press 'apply', he transforms and changes the color of my office.

  • How you overlay a bitmap with a solid color

    Hello

I have a set of icons that are all white with a transparent background.  I need allow the user to change the color of these within the app.  Does anyone know how to do this?

I never did, but I think that if you have the bitmap, then you can do it using get and the ARGB value.

In essence, you convert the Bitmap image into an array of int to getARGB().  The values in the array int containing pixel color value in the form 0xaarrggbb, where a is the alpha value, rr is red, bb is blue and gg is green.  Because your pixels are all white, all white int values will be 0xaaFFFFFF.  If extract you the int values, will replace the FFFFFF (leaving the aa) with the color you want, let all the pixels that are not the FFFFFF as they are and then to int values using setARGB().

Give it a try and let us know how you go.

  • Wallpaper won't change a solid color.

This computer for a clean installation of Windows 7 ultimate (64 bit) recently and now I can't change my background with a solid color.

For a week or more now that I got the Win7 default background and in did not bother to change, when I tried until today that I could not and do not see that the back on the ground.

    Symptoms:

After a right-click on the desktop and selecting 'Customize', I am taken to the menu "Control Panel > appearance and personalization > personalization ' appropriate.

Themes can be selected, and Aero themes will change the sounds and the "window color" correctly. "My themes" can be selected with similar results. At no time will be chosen one of the Preload or personally made topics, change the wallpaper.

If you have selected the 'Desktop Background' the menu 'Desktop Background' option appears. The first round of available backgrounds are "solid color" list drop-down option. By selecting one of them WILL change the color of the desktop.  Select any s "Image location" menu drop-down available down allows viewing and selection of all the images available (Windows Desktop Backgrounds, pictures, Top Note library: Photos, colors, and photos of Josh [personal photos stored in a file on my desktop]), Aly or all of these pictures can be selected, but none of them apply, even if the user clicks on the save changes"" button.

If a slide show is selected record of changes made return me to the "Personalization" menu, the unsaved theme is selected and selected photos stack shows up as the desktop image on the icon (not by the real desk top) for less than 2 seconds before returning to a solid color.

So far, I read messages similar to this one, I have:

Confirmed that 'remove background images' under 'Making the computer easier to see' is not checked.

made a "clean boot" via MSCONFIG

Verified that my version of windows is valid

updated all my drivers (nvidia 9600gt video card with new win7 64 drivers) system

attempted to use the "set as background Image" of these two IE8 and locally in my pictures folder

Thanks for any help you can offer me, I don't really like on the slide show feature, I just want to be able to define an image manually at this stage.

  • I want to change a piece of Brown fabric in an image to a mole (with specific RGB color numbers) and would it be this color specific Mole without interference from the brunette... Is this possible?

I want to change the color of a border of cotton on a carpet sample image that is initially Brown. I need to be able to maintain the texture of cotton while being able to compose "specific" RGB color numbers Curious to know if this is possible? I can eyeball of the color and change it using "hue/saturation" but want to be able to use certain RGB numbers.

    Hi Madison,

Exactly why do you want this fine control of color? The edges of the carpet are not the same as a logo or a piece of the judgment, its will always be carried out by the way light interacts with fibers and cause color variation. What you ask is, however, possible, but not with the RGB color space. If you want precise control of color, you must work with Lab and adjust one, b channels with curves after entering specific pantone values for the edge of the carpet. Even while Photoshop is on the single application around to support the Lab color space, you'll need at some point return to RGB and use Adobe RGB or sRGB to output and as soon as you do that your likely to get a change of color as these spaces are smaller than Lab leading to clipping. Out of curiosity, I played a bit with an image of a carpet and had no trouble get the shades I wanted. You need a mask that is easy and a layer of hue saturation adjustment with redefine enabled. By varying the hue, saturation, luminance and layer opacity virtually any color is possible. I suspect you want absolute solution, but perhaps this chart will give you an idea of what can be done if you like carpet resembling the flower beds

In fact, if you want a solid color, you don't need a background image at all, you can get rid of it and just put a background color in your css.
