Desktop Dell Inspiron 530 starts after Windows update

I have a Dell Inspiron 530 desktop that was purchased in December 2007.  I ran Windows Update for SP1 and rebooted system and won't start until now.  I have a black screen with cursor and F2 and F12 as options in the lower right corner of the screen.  I tried F8 to restart in Mode without failure, but it is not recognized.  I went in configuration of device startup and changed to hard drive for the first boot device CDRom second drive start-up and left to start third device and another disabled boot device.  I can't reinstall Windows Vista as it came with the computer and I have not received a repair or installation disk.  What can I do to get the system to boot?

  • Desktop Dell Inspiron 530, Verizon Mifi and not found Internet network

I have a Dell Inspiron 530 desktop computer and I have a wireless mifi Verizon for Internet access point.  I thought that my office had a wireless card but I can not find it the network of the mifi. MiFi work because my phone can get it. What should I do to get my office to pick it up if it's still possible?

Thank you, following these steps I found that my office does not have a wireless card. So I guess I'll do something different for the Internet. Thanks again!

  • Dell Inspiron 530 starts 3 times

For several months, my old Inspiron 530 of 5 years had the following problem:

A cold, start it from power for a few seconds (noise noisy fan), then turn off, then turn on for a few seconds, then power off, then turn on and proceed as usual.  So from a cold start, it starts up 3 times in total.

When the computer is restarted, it will be turned off, to power for a few seconds, turn off lights up again, and proceed normally.  So a reboot, it lights up a total of 2 times.

I tried the following hotfixes and so far none of them have solved the problem (it may not in the right order):

I contacted Dell support.  They said it was a "software problem" and they try several different things on a connection at a distance.  After about 5 hours of trying to solve the problem without a solution, I was told it was not a software problem, but a hardware problem and referred me to the support group equipment tech.  The technician of this group told me that it was a software problem and that I needed to reinstall the operating system.  Since I also read on the internet that it could be a power supply issue, I refer to Dell sales that could sell me a replacement power.

I bought food and installed it, but that has no effect.

I bought a new video card and installed it, but it had no effect on the problem of restarting and cause additional problems.  I removed the new video card and reinstalled the old video card.

I contacted Norton do a virus removal within distance.  I have had two technicians various Norton works remotely to resolve the startup problem, but they failed.

As a last resort, I decided to go ahead and re-install the operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit.  I actually reinstalled software twice, because I didn't reformat the C: drive when I did the first resettlement.  I did the reformatting of the C: drive of the resettlement of 2nd.  My Inspiron 530 boots now much faster and also runs much faster, it will still take 3 starts to go.

So if anyone out there has any idea on this issue, be it a fix, or if I should just let it be and not be concerned about it, please reply to let me know your suggestions.  If additional details are required, please let me know.

    3. start problem solved! Change video card. Got rid of my stock 8300GS and replaced with GeForce 8500GTfrom Amazon Echoshop for about $40.00 and cared of the 3 start problem! Good luck what a card impressive. I never thought it was the map of the origin of the problem? Good enough technicians could figure that one out. SURPRISE LOL

  • Laptop does not start after Windows update

I have HP laptop with Windows 8.1.

It no longer starts after you install updates.

It has happened before several times. I used system restore and it should correct the problem temporarily until the next time for the installation of updates.

Now I can not even run system restore. He says that I have an administrator account.

    Help, please.

The process I'll tell you will solve the problem, but it leaves a few effects. All the installed update will be uninstalled the version they had when you have installed 8.1 windows and programs in your programs (x 86) NO program file in the C: drive or the drive where windows is installed must be UNINSTALLED. The uninstalled programs will appear on your desktop as Applications.HTML removed. If you have any problem with the effects that I mentioned that process as follows:

    1. at start up press F11 to enter recovery.

    2. go on recovery to solve problems.

    3. then in troubleshooting, click on refresh your PC.

    4. wait it ends (it takes about an hour)

    5. your system is restored.

    Hope this helps

Original title: udate Windows vista problems

I have dell dimension e520, Windows Vista home Basic, 32-bit SP 2, and in January, I upgraded RAM to 4 GB to 1 GB. McAfee security on the computer. The system worked until the last updated (March 2012).  The computer does not start correctly after March 2012 update and System Restore restores to February 21 implemented to date.  The computer will then automatically install the updates again and restart, after which the computer will not start up again (an annoying loop).  I also lose saved data after the system recovery sets return date.  I tried Microsoft Fixit, which did not help.  Thanks for your help. Hurry LOL available updates.

PS computer says 'patch blocking windows to start.  Some updates successfully installed previously, but on the next time you download windows updates, that try to download updates and others have "failed."  Sorry for the confusion but I'm rushing and I try to include all the symptoms, I don't see dealing with the problem I have.

I had to take it to get fixed, thanks to the effort.  The person fixing said he ran a few cleaning tools and which appeared to fix.

  • NB550D - does not start after Windows Update

NetBook may have turned off during the update of Windows like now it will not go beyond the Green loading bar with 'Microsoft Corporation' below. It gives an option to start windows normally or to load files to repair, but the two find themselves stuck on the Green loading bar. SafeMode (all options) earn as much as classpnp.sys and then freezes.

Using a different laptop I did a windows repair disc and then copied the files on the USB key (netbook has no CD drive) according to the guides online. When the USB key is loading files of repair, there is a flashing cursor, and then he's new to the Green loading bar. SafeMode (all options) gets stuck on disk.sys with inserted USB.

Found a few threads with similar symptoms with most being caused by a questionable HD (verified, nothing obviously disconnected) connection or the SATA mode in the BIOS the wrong (seems to make no difference between ACHI or Compatible). Next plan is to start a live version of linux and try to replace the classpnp.sys file with on another copy of Windows 7.

If anyone has experienced this before or can give indications that they would be much appreciated,
    Thank you.

    Hello

To be honest, never had any problems after a windows update.
But it looks like an anomaly in the system.
My first idea was the use of the repair option and you try to start the operating system using the option: use the last known good configuration.

But if it would not help, then you can try to replace the files to aid and booting from the Live CD. Not sure if this would solve the problem, but I think that it of certainly worth trying otherwise you will have to reinstall the OS using the HARD drive recovery (if still available)

  • T400 takes a long time to start after windows updates

    Hello

I have a T400 I had to reset to factory settings (2008). After the reset, I started to download and install all windows updates. For a set of updates, after restarting the computer my T400 started taking some 10 minutes to start. She continues to do more another week later after you have installed all updates. The screen goes black for 10 min and then I get the screen of Thinkpad and wihtout a problem starting windows.

Can someone tell me what could be the problem? How can I tell that update is the cause and uninstall it?

    Thank you! Lore

    Sorry:

No I do not recommend a BIOS update.

I think you DID an update of the BIOS via the update system and now the BIOS needs to be initialized.

Only go in the BIOS, press F9 to load defaults F10 - Yes

If this does not help, remove the battery of the BIOS for a few minutes.

  • Windows XP does not start after Windows updates

Original title: recent Windows update for xp

As a result a my computer Windows xp, last Tuesday, my computer is now inoperative.  He was fine before this, but cannot get it to turn on.

When I tried again today, a message came up saying Microsoft to apologize for the inconvenience, but Windows did not start successfully.  A recent hardware or software change might have caused this.
    What should I do now?

    Grandmother,

If the options above do not, I suggest you use the Recovery Console to try to fix your Windows XP

Here's HOW - there images, so it is easier to follow. Read the section on how to use it.

Once you are connected to the Recovery Console, type the following command and press ENTER:

    CHKDSK/p

    There is a space between 'k' and ' / '.

This may take a few minutes and the command can fix registry issues possible that occurred. This is based on the experience that I have used this on an old XP machine and it showed a message after the recovery that looks like this

    See you soon ~!

  • Computer does not start after Windows update

I built my computer in December last year, which makes it less than a year. It has worked fine until this last week when I decided to give a few necessary windows updates a lot. I decided to download and install all night, and now it does not start. I get nothing on the screen. I don't get the safe mode options. I didn't get last known good configuration options. I don't not even a splash screen. After a full minute, it turns off again, regardless of how many times I turn it back on. It happened for a few days. Are no external hard drives not connected; only an intern. The only devices I plugged are my keyboard and mouse. Can anyone offer a solution? Whatever happened to you?

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate Edition.

The first time I tried to start after downloading the updates, he went to the boot screen windows 7 usual, that clear blue that says it configures windows and not turn off the computer during the process. Before we were told: "Welcome to Windows," he said "Shutting Down", but not before the configuration of progress has reached 100%. At this time, everything seemed normal. After the computer turns.

Original title: had this application update 26509 operation message

I hope that I chose the right place for this question

By PAD so I give you all the unusual things that have occurrred recently

When I clicked shut off (to turn off the computer) last night I received a message something like this but this isn't verbaitim.

-apply the updates do not turn off or disable... Let him go was not a thing then it shuts

This morning from my computer (windows 7) I see a lot of numbers flight by update of something... Finally he stayed still long enough to read this message

    ' application operation update 26509 26509 (\Registry\Mach...) . who took about 90 dry

then the screen changed to say prepare to set up windows (while I was getting a large piece of paper to write it down in my computer I went back to what is normal for my computer open) he says treatment auto - VGA - the screen is black for 2 seconds and my office is open and functional.

    --------

Please lmk if I should post this separately if it is not part of the above problem

OK not to confuse things and maybe it's not bad but I will also attach additional information... Thank you for your patience.

Sometimes messages arrive on my screen and went so fast that I don't know what they said and that's what's happening all I saw were collected WAN miniport (ATW) #2. and something that affects the usuage of my computer... I went to the Device Manager and under "Network card" was a green line to see, I opened 2 inputs was the first

the second entry "WAN Miniport (ATW) #2 * was a yellow triangle with a point of exclamation and under properties say this device cannot start (Code 10) .

    Hello

    1. have you successfully install the update?

    2. are you able to connect to the desktop without any problem?

Was the message you saw before Windows starts, the system applying these updates. This is a normal procedure that Windows takes above all the critical updates are applied. If you were not able to start Windows, then we might have a problem with Windows update.

Regarding your second yellow exclamation on the wide area network WAN miniport, you need to update the driver for the network adapter.

The Code 10 error applies mainly to the problems of hardware driver and devices or compatibility problems between the drivers of equipment and additional software that is installed in Windows. Therefore, we recommend that solve you these problems with emphasis on device drivers, configuration of device problems and hardware compatibility issues. You may need to update the chipset drivers and the network adapter.

I suggest you run the automated FIXIT from the link below and.

Description of errors related to the 10 Code that generates the Device Manager in Windows on computers

I would say as update you the driver for network card and check.

    Hello

Pulled up to my PC this morning and was asked to install updates from windows update. Check the list, there are 11 important available updates. I have unchecked and hiding implementing Nvidia updated as I want to do the updates of my GPU myself. Installed the remaining 10, completed and has been asked to restart my PC.

The problems starts here; I am more able to start windows.

It is past the bios screen, shows the blue flag with a circle of rotation below and then... nothing more than a black screen and my screen goes to mode 'sleep'.

I tried to start in safe mode minimum clean using a prompt (bcdedit/set {default} safeboot) repair my installation disk option, but it does not start even in safe mode.

I run system restore turned on so that the option is not valid for me.

The system is now check the disk for errors, but it seems to hang there as well as happens for more than 2 hours now...

Any way that I can return the updates of windows on the outside? Any other suggestions than the reset of the installation disc?

Problem solved now and it was the update of KB2808735 who was / is the origin of the problem.

Installed all the updates one by one until it chrashed again installing the update mentioned above.

    Janhsmn,

If you do not want to install updates on your computer, you can select the "Hide" option and it will ignore them in the future and continue with other updates. Do not forget that the reason why the updates could be the cause of this problem would be because as a conflict with a third-party software. And most likely will not affect both your systems in the same way unless you have the same third party software installed on all your machines.

To hide the update in Windows Vista, please follow the steps below.
    1. click on 'start '.
    2. Type "Windows Update" and press on "Enter"(on the keyboard) ".
    3. Select "Search for updates"
    4. Select "View available updates"
5 right-click the update that is causing the problem and select "hide update"
