  1. open Folder Options to select (round) display the hidden files and folders.

  2. open a Windows Explorer window.

  3. go to C:\Users\(User Name) \AppData\Local
  4. right click on IconCache.db and click on delete.

  5. click on Yes to confirm the deletion.
  NOTE: This removes the file to the trash. It is safe to empty the trash when you are done.

  6. close the window.

  7 empty the trash.

  8 restart the computer.

  About the "print" button, I guess that's not related wit the real software problem:

  Google chrome opens the print dialog box, and then press the button change.
  Select your printer from the list instead of the default save as PDF option and try to print again.

  One way would be to do not create the icon on the desktop during installation, then add it then.   I often have to change the screen resolution to test a web design to make sure that it works on multiple monitors.  After getting tired of having my random distributed desktop icons whenever I did, I created a new user and connected to this user to change my resolution.

  This is because the setting of the desktop resolution is by computer. One system affects all user accounts.
