    You have apparent dbx file corruption.
     
    Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox, and then create the new box of sent, and sent items folders after you move all the messages that you want to put in a local folder that you create.

    Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.
     
    General precautions for Outlook Express:
     
    Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

    OE gives an error message standard it is not correctly installed.  Its a remnant message from OE4 and is false.  You probably corruption with folders.dbx and you should remove it.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#7 then, after departures OE you must back up your messages and given the corruption, go to file | Identities and setup a new identity for you give a fresh message store and then you can use file | Import | Messages to bring them from the old identity.

    Just graduated from XP to the new windows 7 and I need to know how to get my Outlook Express mail.  Need to know how to set up Pop 3.   Reading a few forums, I think the knuckleheads who put this windows 7 as a whole did not anyway to do unless you're a computer expert.   I would have been much better served if they would have put the old XP back on this new computer.   I'm an old PET of 69 year who knows nothing about setting up these things, and unless someone can come in here and talk to me with every little detail step by step what to click on it and where to find it in detail.  It will never happen.  If you would be grateful someone with this kind of knowledge back to me.  Thank you

    Hi, is it possible to display the details of an item outlook (recipient, sender etc.), when the message is saved in the windows Explorer. Normally if you look in the Explorer, you can see, name, Date modified, Type, etc., according to the detail that you have defined.

    If you need to see > choose details > you can display all available fields and I can choose my fields mandatory, relating to electronic messages. However, nothing is displayed in the fields, which is probably related to the "metadata" of recorded messages.
    How do I change the view so all my selected fields are filled with the details of the e-mail message?

    You can do this with the OE, WinMail (Vista) to Windows Live Mail eml files, but I don't think it will work for msg files into Outlook.  You could ask in the forum for Outlook here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/outlook

    Better application MYOB this one. I don't have any idea of what methods they use to send mail, but check their support forum, it seems that they are testing with Microsoft Outlook.

    It's pretty crappy tests, but something that I've come to expect of accounting and management software line.

    Thunderbird supports simple MAPI support, and I think that MYOB use it, but I also think that simple MAPI only works on 32-bit windows.     There may be an update, it is highly debated. "modern safety standard" Google are trying to force all power is a web standard not a standard mail. To work properly, the application should act as a browser. Something of a security problem for an email client that is not a browser.

    They mention Outlook or Thunderbird, as they are the soloists. The truth is there is not an email on the planet other than Google apps web client in a browser or on a mobile device that meet the standard. Want your Yahoo or Hotmail account to collect your messages to Gmail... No, they are less secure and in this function. Wish that Google can use to retrieve the messages of others... wow they use the less secure approach to POP and IMAP with password authentication.

    But Google now have your phone number to add to their gold mine limited personal information to serve adds with.

    The bottom line is to enable less secure apps. They are in line with standards applications. They are not less safe, they do not respect arbitrary authentication standard Googles.

    Email from someone in particular does not open when I click on it... I get this error at the top of the screen "Sorry, outlook was not able to fulfill this request" with a status of network link next to it... all of the emails always open very well so I do not know how to solve this problem...

    To clear the cache and cookies to do the following:

    3. Now, click the arrow next to details to toggle the active details list.
    4. In the list of details, see the Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything.

    Shortcuts on my desktop (or other folders) and links of web page in my contacts Outlook loading sometimes immediately, sometimes they take a few minutes to load. However, if I copy the URL in the shortcut properties or in Outlook contacts and simply paste in Firefox, the page will load immediately. I worked around this issue by bookmarking pages in Firefox, but I have dozens of web pages went into my Outlook contacts and having to copy and paste these URLS into Firefox is tedious at best. This doesn't seem to be a problem with Internet Explorer, but I am so tired of all the ads I made Firefox my default browser installed AdBlock. My Firefox version is 23.0.1. Any ideas that don't require me to be a computer genius would be appreciated.
