  • BBM on BB10 Dev alpha B problem

    Hey guys.

I'm pretty new to this Blackberry thing (got my Dev Alpha on a Jam Session, it was great), this is my first Blackberry device (frankly, I don't like Blackberry pre-10) and I tried to integrate my BBM app, but I have not been able to access all the BBM. I tried re-flashing the unit and using a different BBID unsuccessfully, BBM opens with a "Temporary server error" screen, and the only option I get is to exit the application.

Friends (who also have been on the Jam session and got their devices) tell me they didn't need anything else that WiFi for that BBM works, so I was really puzzled. If I have in some way did do something wrong?, Blackberry icon is displayed next to the WiFi, is it not enough for BBM work on the Dev Alpha?

    Thanks in advance.

This problem has been resolved.  You may need to reset your BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha if you continue to receive this error.

  • BlackBerry World acceptance tests still are on devices Dev Alpha?

    Hello

Today, after waiting over a month for one of my apps to be approved and several weeks for another, my apps rejected.

One of the releases said they were testing on a device Dev Alpha and my app showed some error messages.  During the presentation of my application, I never said that it works on the Dev Alpha device.  I have verified that the Z10 and Q10 areas in the submission form.  Not the Dev Alpha box - so I would not have expected the app to have been tested on a Dev Alpha device.

February 6, I could get a physical Z10 (I reside in the Canada).  I quickly found problems with my apps submitted then the fixed, reconstructed and published for the presentation.  These displayed new apps is that the tester of BlackBerry World approval declare as default on the Dev Alpha device.

My apps use OpenGL ES2.0.  Based on the behavior I saw on the Simulator, I don't expect not to work on Dev Alpha devices.  But I know they're working on a production of the Z10.

How can I get these retested on a Z10 production?  Have I not all hope to get retested without having to again apply with a little better error reporting and wait another 3 to 4 weeks so he could be tested on a Dev Alpha (only to have it fail again test because it works on my Z10)?

I only gave me one of my ID tickets in one of my emails of rejection.  It is 856058.

    Thank you

    Mark

    Hi Marc,

This was done by mistake. I get that corrected now.
I have loaded the application on my Z10 and confirm that it works

    Thank you

  • Error 13 when running the sample applications on dev alpha

I installed a few examples of applications on my device Dev Alpha there are ten days, they all work very well when I installed them. I was trying to show them to someone today, but for all of them, I got the error message:

"Failed to start because of the error 13"

This will appear as a notification in the upper left corner of the screen.

Any ideas? I know that my debugging token has expired so could it be the problem?

  • Does not send bad reviews in the BlackBerry world because applications do not work correctly on your last device Dev Alpha

Published for the dev machines alpha builds are still limited and some PC applications are not compatible with the current dev alpha builds. Do not write bad reviews for applications, because they do not work on your dev alpha. The bad reviews do not help consumers who will use production devices. An email directly instead, the developer.

Very please, with sugar on top.

  • Resolution - difference between Dev Alpha and released screen device

    Hi guys

I read on one blog that the Alpha of Dev and the real device which will be released at the end of January should have different screen resolutions. (1,280 x 768, 1,280 x 720)

    You know nothing about it?

Thank you guys. In the meantime, I got a link to blog useful Kamel Lajili (@KLajili) - http://devblog.blackberry.com/2012/08/blackberry-10-screen-resolutions/

I port an Android application for BlackBerry using Android Runtime. I can install this application successfully using Eclipse. • installation bar on Dev Alpha: 810/var/tmp/bar_665560 failure: cannot access the Member "META-INF/MANIFEST. MF'

Can someone tell me what in the world does that mean? Get this error when trying to install my application signed my BB10 Dev Alpha device. This error is new to me.

I troubleshoot-made with Marco a little offline time. Here were the issues being not package and deploy properly, I hope this will help others as well in the future.

The problem was just a few things.

    Config.Xml

-Lack of ownership application in the widget element ID

    http://www.w3.org/ns/widgets"
          xmlns:rim="http://www.blackberry.com/ns/widgets"
            version="2.0.0.0" id="your_app_id_goes_here">

    Index.html

-Lack a script include.  I always use the Web Inspector Network tab to make sure all my includes load.  It's amazing to see how many times I did it personally

-Lack of script include the WebWorks JavaScript BB10.  Don't forget with BB10, we include this

-Missing "webworksready" event listener.  In the case of Marco, that didn't alter his app, but we must wait for this event before calling WebWorks API now.

  • BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha is not updated to 10.1 to 10.2

I'm trying to update my device BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha OS 10.1 to 10.2. I'm refernce documentation for it. I downloaded Autoload-DevAlphaC - 10.2.0.1157.exe try to update. But the command line stops without updating. Then I tried with loading auto-DevAlphaA_B - 10.2.0.1157.exe. Here he updates without any error in the command line. But the device does not start after that.

Then, I go down to the previous version of the OS using the load auto-DevAlphaA_B - 10.1.0.1485.exe. Now the unit start with OS 10.1

    Why is this happening?

I don't think that Dev Alpha (A) could be upgraded to version 10.2. I have tried both official and leaked OS but neither can start the device again. So currently my Dev Alpha holds only still 10.1.1485.

If you really want to try 10.2, try using Dev Alpha B/C or official Z10/Q10.

  • BB10 dev alpha - stuck in Configuration - does not load the license agreement (r2320)

I successfully upgraded Dev Alpha A 10.0.09.2320 with automatic charger.

Device, rebooted, installed new drivers, etc etc, all the other things worked well, BUT

The device is unable to complete the installation, because it gets stuck on the license agreement page.

I am connected to wifi. The wifi works. It's worked before. It won't let me even to select a country, it shows an error that the network does not, repels me a page, and I have to disconnect / reconnect to wifi before it allows me to 'sweep left to continue' again.

    Any suggestions?

I managed to make it work by (sigh) with the help of roaming data connection (after restart). Now it is stuck on the screen of a software update. He has rightly "Software Update" and nothing else on the screen. The Act of working is the Emergency call.

Update: after another reboot, after you turn off roaming data once again, it gave me an option to start or turn off the phone, but it says something about "blackberry infrastructure? Does this mean that it will work only with BlackBerry Internet Service in the future?

Edit: so bad, yet another restart that he lets me actually left-scan-ignore the update of the screen without anything do. Sorry for the false alarm, I'll leave it here for anyone to find.
