Dev Java on QNX devices?

Will be the new development of support of phones QNX using blackberry JDE? The current java development environment will be supported on phones QNX?

Yes, I think you can because there is a solution that works.

  • Resolution - difference between Dev Alpha and released screen device

    Hi guys

I read on one blog that the Alpha of Dev and the real device which will be released at the end of January should have different screen resolutions. (1,280 x 768, 1,280 x 720)

  • One or more devices do not support multi-equipment tasks.

    Hello

I work with 2 X USB series Renault (6356 USB).  I am acquiring data analog voltage of all 8 channels on the two Renault (total up to 16 analog inputs).  I need data acquisition to synchronize and trigger from an external digital source (a signal that I currently wired in A PFI0 of Dev).  I use a sampling frequency of 800 kHz and a 400 kS buffer size.

I tried to use an express vi for two devices; two separate express vis for each device; and recently changed to DAQmx icons (as seen in the attachment).  Anyway, I get an error (error-201426: one or more devices do not support multi-equipment tasks.).  He referred then DevA and DevB as devices that do not support tasks.  I was under the impression that tasks multi-equipment agree with property X of the series.  I use NI-DAQmx 9.5.5.

In the attached photo, I left most while loop.  The part of the diagram that I left out is just for viewing and recording of data, I've included parts, I felt it necessary to describe my problem.

I would appreciate all the advice really.

    Thank you

    Leslie

I think crossrulz is right. No worries, as they must be in separate tasks, your data is always synchronized as you want. You'll just have to do some things in the software, because not all the data will be returned in the same Bay of waveforms. What you can do is to create two tasks (one for each device), build an array of tasks, and when you do a reading, do it inside a loop for. concatenate the waveforms of each reading and you have a table of waveforms with all your data as if you read it in a single task. You also need to configure your second task to trigger the DevB/PFI0 and divide your trigger wire, he PFI0 wiring on each device.

  • Comments for BlackBerry - why the world do I need Java to install the Simulator

I'm building a new developer workstation and everything moved very well except for the part, I'll install the latest Simulator, it won't install without Java.

The funny thing is that its only necessary to decompress the vmware (!) files. Once the files are copied and VMware picks it up Java is not used.

In my honest opinion, it's kind of weird and totally unnecessary.

Thanks for listening. ;-) Have a great weekend.

The BBM Server Simulator, which is installed with the 10 BlackBerry Simulator requires Java.  The device Simulator itself does not work.

BlackBerry Momentics also makes use of Java, but it includes its own installation of Java, so you don't need to install it separately.

  • FYI: Sun, Oracle and Java... from the mouth of dogs...

I close it immediately, because it is only meant to be informative.

As you may or may not know, Oracle is buying Sun. It is a fait accompli. I know a lot of people in the Sun, and it seems that Oracle is very happy to be the leader in the java world, as so many database interfaces are made via java, so in the case, anyone was worrying, Java will be around for a long time to come. J2ME is the main interface of Java for mobile devices and promises to continue to evolve as such.

Also, for those who don't know, Android is also based on J2ME and Android platform is called is no longer just a phone platform but a mobile device platform and that they plan to push for Android to reside in the PDA, mobile, netbooks and similar devices.

For example, Blackberry will be not only by any measure, and J2ME will continue to be the most common API autour for mobile devices. Note that personally, I think that Apple has done a bad decision by adding only java not to their API. The programming interface for the IPhone remains an API of non-hack-proof based on atypical Objective C and their scripting languages... which has no other platform outside Apple who uses it.

Hope that this info reassures everyone who was wondering about these changes at the end.

  • Compliabiality of DOT NET graphical Interfaces (GUI) with Java

    Hello
Right now, I'm about to start the GUI in Java learning.
I have gained all the basic knowledge of Java enough to learn GUI.

    My Questions are:
    (1) in a first time learning Java GUI, is it really necessary to learn AWT before learning Java Swing framework?

    (2) I heard that VISUAL STUDIO of Dot Net Framework supports advanced of GUI facilities and rich watch that we use to build graphic interfaces that must operate in Java Applications, so that Java Gui done, can the .net GUI library classes?

    Also is this really true?

    Tejaswi.B wrote:
.. is it really necessary to learn AWT before learning Java Swing framework?

No, but noted there are many (no) components of AWT that could be used in Swing interfaces. Fonts, sizes, layouts...

This being said, follow the link provided Darryl and you will find the tutorial covers these classes (or almost) as if they were Swing.

    (2) I heard that VISUAL STUDIO of Dot Net Framework supports advanced GUI facilities and rich look than that of Java Gui...

    Where did you hear that?

As far as I understand, there are a few components provided in .NET that are not in the swing, such as (I don't know how it's called) a "list of switch" where there are two lists side by side with buttons to move items from one list to the other. These components are possible from other components in the swing. I guess that Swing developers felt that these components were rarely required to justify the addition of a specific component for them.

You can also go on SwingX (https://swingx.dev.java.net/), which is based on the swing to provide additional components.

Another thing, I noticed. I don't see node2 (dev/rdsk/c0defs1) disk device. Shouldn't this be included as well at this point?

    Hi Steve,.

RAW or block devices are supported only when upgrading an existing installation using the already configured partitions. On new installations, using raw or block device partitions is not supported by Oracle Automatic Storage Management Configuration Wizard (ASMCA) or Oracle Universal Installer (YES), but is supported by the software if perform you a manual configuration.

    The above information is corret.
In my opinion, which is always supported in case of upgrade.
I did not write this because being support block and raw devices on this version.
With the release of Oracle 11 g 2 (11.2) database and RAC Oracle 11g release 2 (11.2), using the database Configuration Wizard or Setup to store files directly on the block or raw devices Clusterware Oracle or Oracle database is not supported.

    >

And by manual configuration, they hear

    # chown grid:asmadmin /dev/rdsk/cxtydzs6
    # chmod 660 /dev/rdsk/cxtydzs6

    Right?

Since the oracle user is the owner of the software grid in my case it would be

    # chown oracle:oinstall /dev/rdsk/cxtydzs6
    # chmod 660 /dev/rdsk/cxtydzs6

    Yes...
When the grid is that you are the owner to install Oracle Grid Infrastructure, in case a manual installation using raw for ocr and vote oinstall is the Group

  • PDF Viewer

    Hi all

I just want to create a PDF Viewer for blackberry. but I still have no idea.

If someone has an idea or a resource, please provide me with.

    Thanks in advance

There's already a PDF reader on the device, right?

In any case, I guess you could try to adapt one of the open source Java PDF engines to the BlackBerry.

Here let me google for you:
