Developer SQL supports single-threaded mode?

Anyone know if Oracle Developer supports single-threaded to run/execute the sql script mode? And if so, please indicate how to activate it?

I saw somewhere in the forum, but could not find more then... open new thread.

At present, I can select several script and run all together and all results are displayed in several tabs but looks like the SQL Developer seems to expect a script to finish before starting another rather than run them at the same time.

Thank you in advance for your help!

To run several queries at the same time you need to open multiple worksheets Unshared and run queries in separate spreadsheets.

  • Play with Oracle SQL developer configuration and its debug mode

Greetings from a newbie, ask simple questions:

    1. I'm trying to run sql scripts using sql developer without actually connecting to the database, which makes a fake link in order to check if the syntax of the scripts is correct. Can I do this?

    2. Furthermore, I try to play with its CONF file, and I have a difficulty to understand the language that is using. What language is this? I can only guess "sqldeveloper - debug.conf ' is performed when I put ' IncludeConfFile sqldeveloper - debug.conf" in sqldeveloper.conf. But I don't really know how these configuration files. Could you give me some tips to learn this?

    Best regards

    Valerie

No, Developer SQL does not parse the SQL statements, just them sends to the server and presents the results with you.

As for the syntax of the configuration files, no idea. You might have more luck the {forum: id = 260} forum.

  • Developer SQL v4.0.3 on Windows 7 64 bit freezes

I use 64-bit SQL Developer 4.0.3 with the JDK included on Windows 7. When you change the body to a package, SQL Developer stops responding and I have to end task. I tried to rename the APPDATA folder, so it will create a new and not import my settings (only copied connections.xml), but that did not help. Version 3.2 works fine, but all 4.x versions, that I tried to do the same thing.

    Help, please.

If you cannot avoid using shortcut keys for cut/copy/paste in the PL/SQL Editor, then you must wait for a fix.  Here is a relevant discussion...

Developer SQL 4.0.3 freezes often irreparably

Try the production version 4.1 when it comes out.  Article 4.1 of the last is ai2 (Early adopter 2), but some corrections of editor-in-Chief of the JDeveloper team don't have become available until after this release.  We get close to having a RC1 (release candidate 1) and hope that the type of blocking you encounter will be finally fixed. Another recommendation is to disable see breadcrumbs in Tools > Preferences > code editor > display.  Who can help in some cases.

  • How to disable the boot into single user mode SIP?

    Hi all

My MacBook Pro (bought in May 2011, out of warranty at this stage) is not able to start. I think that the graphics card is dead, I can boot into single user mode and run the Apple Hardware Test (no problem found). I found this acticle (https://people.cam.cornell.edu/~zc227/extras/early2011mbp_graphics.html), but I can't follow the steps to start the Mac to avoid the AMD card, such as the SIP is activated (cannot move road file extensions).

I can't boot into recovery mode, due to the inability to start the graphical mode. Any other way to disable SIP?

    Thanks in advance.

    Ana

In the developers page: security configuration is stored in NVRAM, rather than in the file system itself. As a result, this configuration applies to all Mac OS X installations across the entire machine and persists through installations of OS X than Protection of the integrity of support system.

To enable or disable the Protection of the integrity of the system, you must start on recovery OS and run the csrutil(1) command from the Terminal.

    Integrity https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204899 Protection System

This command can be run without root privileges and will tell you whether or not the SIP is enabled.

to find out whether the SIP is enabled or disabled, run

    status of csrutil

    to disable SIP:

copy & paste the following and then press ENTER:

    csrutil disable

    To activate the SIP

    csrutil enable

After activation or deactivation of the Protection of the integrity of the system on a machine, a reboot is required.

  • Developer SQL 4.1.2.20 Build HAND-20, 64: cannot drag-and - drop in editor files include "#" in the name or the path

Developer SQL 4.1.2.20 Build HAND-20, 64: I am not able to drag-and - drop a file from Windows Explorer into the SQL Developer Editor window if the name of the file or the path includes sharp «#» Unfortunately, my main directory structure contains a ' # ' in one parent folder names and I use drag-and - drop all the time... it is, I used to. :-)

I am running Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit with Service Pack 1

It wasn't a problem in the previous version of SQL Developer 4.1.1.19 build HAND - 19.59.

Thanks to study deeply and providing a repeatable test. It is a very strange edge cases.  Particularly interesting is...

This same issue exists for JDeveloper Studio Edition Version 12.2.1.0.0

After my tests in SQL Developer 4.1.2 the question seems to be, that say you, trying to open any file (I tried sql, xml, and pkb types) by drag-and - drop from Explorer Windows to a publisher of target opened on a XML file with a symbol of hash somewhere in the specification of the file it is.

First of all, as a solution, I thought that I could recommend that you drag-and - drop since our view > files browser rather than Windows Explorer.  Which avoids the question and even you will descend on the Start Page tab, any worksheet or another editor must be opened before hand. However, there is a completely different problem with that: try to close the last tab of the XML Editor open blocking the entirety of the product.

As you do not declare it against a release of the Early Adopter, where our team connect the bug, the standard procedure is so that you can open a service request with the support of the Oracle. My research did not turn any latest bug as this connected against SQL Developer or JDeveloper.

Edit: In fact, just double click instead of using drag-and - drop from view > files avoids questions, name incorrect both hang at the end.

and I was wondering if the developer SQL 1.5.5 is compatible with Microsoft SQL Server 2008?

These versions are old, older than SS2008 even.

  • Developer SQL blocks every time when saving

Hello, I am using SQL Developer for the last 6 months on the same project, and just recently, I started running into this question.  Everytime I go to save the entire application crashes and this happens without worrying if I use the shortcut (ctrl + s) or click on the button Save real.  I have this problem consistantly when recording, but it will also happen occationaly when I open a menu, compilation or perform a specific function.  I have tried different ideas to solve the problem as the increase in the value of Xms, disable some preferences, used different java sdk, updated and re-installed but nothing has changed.  My friend who did the same as me is having no problem.  Is there anything I can delete temporary data that could help with this?  I've been looking at other positions, but the only one I've seen that's similar to me is not answered and some points in a similar position, but unanswered, Re: Developer SQL does not is this post.

Here is my error report, it is bigger than my buffer allows then it is cut in the upper part.  I'm working on getting all of this, I just wanted to post this in the meantime.

    Thanks for any help.

  • Desactivar Barra of progreso por lentitud en developer Sql

    Buenas tardes;

soy PERÚ - LIMA; llevo utilizando 3 Años esta tool; ahora llevo 2 weeks using the release Version 4.0.0.13 (Version Interna HAND-13, 80) the cual me parece better than las anteriores, sin embargo remain tanto some BUGS that there is ire commenting in el transcurso del día.

El primero Québec me interesa delivery are; cada vez Ahmed a package developer SQL comienza el has revisar todas las o ese package, el cual stored functions is torna muy pero muy lento y da the apariencia what cuelga.

Appears una barra Progreso con el message: of subprogramas Comparando < number of package >

Al appears esto termino las flechas azules in each number of funcion o procedure, el cual're me muy util para poder navegar por el body y cabecera, pero are muy lento por tanto deseo is no utilizarlo y quisiera DESACTIVAR esta lectura packages.

    Data:

    Tiene package 24 functions

    C abecera tiene 361 lines

    Tiene body 21559 líneas

Memoria RAM of 4 GB to the tiene mi Computadora y 15GB free of Disco Duro; the cual por no creo as el problema sea mi material.

    Gracias.

The problem is not hardware, it's a bug. Our development team is looking at him. Tools Preferences > Code Editor... turn off the last 5 preferences. They all start with "Supported" in English, is not safe in Spanish. That should help you with your performance/hanging in the procedure Editor.

  • Buffer SQL commands (get, run, save, etc.) in Developer SQL does not?

    I am a developer SQL 3.1.07.42 Windows 7 64 bit with java 1.7

    I have c:\test.sql that contains
    PROMPT Working
    and c:\testscript.sql that contains
    set echo on
    set serveroutput on
    /
    GET c:\test.sql
    SAVE c:\test_working.sql
    LIST 1 LAST
    RUN
If I open a new worksheet and type:
    @\testscript.sql
    then press F5, I get:
    @\testscript.sql
    set serveroutput on
    /
    GET c:\test.sql
    SAVE c:\test_working.sql
    LIST 1 LAST
    RUN
If the c:\test_working.sql is not created and the content of the script is not executed.

What I am actually trying to do here (and maybe you guys have a better idea) is to capture the output of the sql command that appears on the client, send it to the server, treat it somehow and then do everything with her (she log in my case).

For example (a very simple example from my scripts).
    spool c:\temporary.tmp
    create table test();
    spool off;

    get c:\temporary.tmp
0 begin insert into logtable (msg) (trim('
    100 ')); end;

    save logit.sql

    @'logit.sql'
the idea is to be able to save the output of any control block / anonymous plsql in a way that can be sent to the server for processing (this is for most mistakes, of course).
I can intercept DBMS_OUTPUT turning SERVEROUTPUT then a DBMS_OUTPUT. ACTIVATE and finally using DBMS_OUTPUT. GET all the lines and the process/log them, but I have not found a way yet to catch the rest of the "TERMOUT' of treatment other than the queue, but even then, I couldn't find a way to get the local file (content) on the server; and this idea GET/SAVE/RUN appeared to be feasible but its does not work (I even tried interactively, but maybe I'm doing something wrong).

Any ideas/suggestions on the topic are welcome.

    Thank you.

    Hello

According to the 3.1.04.72 SQL Developer documentation, the "get" command (among others) is not supported:
Help | Table of contents | SQL Developer concepts and use. With the help of the SQL worksheet | SQL * more supported and unsupported statement...

If the options are limited. If sqlplus is available and use it as an "external" tool will not conflict entirely with local policy, these links may interest you:

  • Developer SQL vs TOAD - query performance issue

Someone pointed out the same queries are run slower in SQL Developer and TOAD. I'm curious on this issue, since I understand Java is 'slow', but I can't find another thread on this point. I do not use TOAD, so I can't compare...

Can it be linked to the amount of data returned by the query? What could be the other reasons for the SQL Dev works more slowly with a similar query?

    Thank you
    Attila

It occurs to me also that TOAD always uses the equivalent of the 'thick' JDBC driver Developer SQL can use 'thin' driver or the 'thick' driver, but the connections are usually configured with the pilot "thin", since you need an Oracle client to use the 'thick' driver

The difference is that the 'thin' drivers are written entirely in Java, but 'thick' drivers are written with only a small Java that calls the native executable (that's why you need an Oracle client) to do most of the work. In theory, a thick driver is faster because the code of the object should not be interpreted by the JAVA virtual machine. However, I heard that the performance difference is not that big. The only way to know for sure is to set up a connection with SQL Developer to use thick driver and see if it is faster (I would use a stopwatch).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that if you use 'TNS' as your type of connection, Developer SQL use thick driver, while someone is using the default value, the type of ' basic' connection the thin driver. Otherwise, you need to use the connection type 'Advanced' and type in the JDBC URL custom for the thick driver.

  • Financial information is a single-threaded application?

We use Windows 2003 64 bit version with 32-bit Hyperion Financial Reporting for end user to generate budget reports. We have 2 quad core Intel Xeon CPU, but we found that most of the time only 1 CPU is used for financial report generation and PDF preview.

We understand that Hyperion Essbase planning should be multi-threaded application that can use multiple processor cores. However, we suspect that EN is a single-threaded application that cannot make use of CPU resource to speed up the generation of reports.

What PDF generator do you use? Versions of Ghostscript before 8.63 were single threaded. 8.63 is now supported in 11.x and last 9.3 service pack for financial reporting and can be configured to be multi-threaded.

  • Question about orders in single-user mode

Hi all, I am a super novice of mac system.

I searched the web and the apple community, and I have not found much information on how to use the single user mode.

All suggested link to read and learn about the single-user mode and terminal?

    What you trying to accomplish?

Single user mode is a shell capable of functioning when things on the hardware have problems.

It is not a fully functional shell, it is intended for solving problems.

Terminal on the other hand maybe you want to explore. There are many ex http://blog.teamtreehouse.com/introduction-to-the-mac-os-x-command-line resources

  • Permission to change to single user mode / recovery

So I have a very very big problem.

In my MAC, I have only 18 MB, more free space on the disk.

But the problem now is that my MAC no longer starts, I think it's because of the little space remaining.

So now the i ' am trying to delete the files from the terminal in single-user mode.

And before I can delete some files, I must first change permissions.

I try to change the permissions with: chmod ugo + rwx *.

I'm doing this inside a folder of the game name League\ maximum\ Legends.app.

But then, I get the message: read-only file system.

Is there another way I can change the permission.

Or is there a way that I can be able to run as administrator of the single-user mode?

    Greetz Tom

Better, you start your computer from the recovery partition and deleting files in the Terminal there. The drives are already mounted in read/write mode. Be very careful.

  • Thread mode in LabVIEW 2010 bug?

I had an application written in LabVIEW 2009 for a PSC-2220 who stopped working when it was converted in LabVIEW 2010, and I tracked down the problem to one thing: the software sets the mode of the Serial wire. Call this method simply disables all of the program. It works when you run from LabVIEW... but if you build an application to start it will not start. Remove the call to thread mode - and voila, the application runs as it should.

-I can solve the problem easily by calling does not fashion wire method, but this isn't a solution due to the fact that I need to use the RS-422/485 port RS485 2-wire mode.

I found a solution that I can live with... it does not explain what is wrong, but here's what I had to do to be able to run the init.vi serial port from outside vi.lib\Instr\ - which in turn allowed me to add the changes I need (set the thread mode) without having to edit a library function :

I had to flatten, i.e.replace all of its report with their content... I could have tried the inline function, but did manually to be sure.

This may indicate that something is wrong with the binding when the program is compiled with RT... but it happens without producing errors of conflict or anything either. A startup.exe is produced - but is not able to run.
