• Windows 7 - cannot get the IP address of the DHCP Linux server

  I have several desktop computers and portable computers that have the Windows 7 operating system.  Some have Windows 7 Starter, Windows 7 Home and Windows 7 Professional.

  My network is configured like this:

  Desktop computers > switch > DHCP Linux server > router > Internet

  Laptops > wireless bridge > DHCP Linux server > router > Internet

  Windows 7 Professional does not appear to have a problem with my set up.  It can enter an address IPv4 automatically, wired or wireless.

  Windows 7 Starter and Home cannot obtain address IPv4 correctly, wired or wireless.  If I give the static addresses of these computers, they can access the internet.  If I let them as dynamic, they will constantly try to connect and try to Identifingtwork.

  I want to get my Windows 7 start and home computers to enter dynamic IPv4 addresses of my Linux DHCP server.  Note, I have never had any problem with Windows XP Home or Pro.

  1. Is there a document that I can return to order updated JRE or JDK in Linux Server for EBS 12.1.3 for me?
  2. If it's an environment of multi nodes, do I need to update on every single node?

  If I want to update to the latest java which is 1.8.xxx do I need to install the version 1.7.xx first?

  3. It is the Java software that comes with the operating system. It is not used by EBS.
     JDK 7 is the version the most recent can be used by the application and database layers.
     JRE 8 can be used with the client tier.

  What I have now is a Linux server with two Oracle database schemas. I have access through my Linux virtual machine. I want to do the synchronization possible between them.

  I use Oracle GoldenGate to make this possible. What should I do now? Goldengate is must be installed in the server too? I'm totally new to this situation. Can someone give me at least the major steps before going to the more comprehensive study?

  Is there anyone know how to connect to the .mdb file in linux server?

  I already try to connect the file .mdb in windows server using odbc and its work, unfortunately I can't find the odbc driver using ms access (mdb file) under linux.

  is there another way to connect to the file .mdb on linux?

  Thanks for the reply. I found the document in support of oracle who help me a lot that are 105210.1 Note , Doc ID 266187.1 and 986023.1.

  Let me summarize here:

  -The ODBC server is required to specify the location of the .mdb file by using its path UNC path of the data file (do not use the mapped drive)

  -L' user of the Server ODBC running the listener should have the same user name and password with the user in the server to Ms Access

  -L' user mentioned above should have the role of administrator.

• VMware Converter refused while trying to convert the Linux server

  Hey all, I'm trying to convert a Server CentOS 6.6 Nagios in a virtual machine on a cluster of ESXi 5.5.0 and not having a chance. When I try to start the conversion I get following error message:

  [Code] Permission to perform this operation was denied [/ code]

  I use VMware vCenter Converter Standalone server Version 5.5.3 Build-2183569 and I am doing the server Linux my VMware vCenter Server, Version 5.5.0 Build 2001466. I thought I could use the wrong password but I can't able to root very well on the Linux server. Iptables is off and Selinux is disabled. I played with the free version of ESXi and now I'm under more Essentials. I Googled it and found a lot of answers, but none of them fit my situation. Here, any help would be greatly appreciated.

  This is actually a question of Windows Server. This is the official documentation for adding a host in DNS in Windows Server:

  For a 2-node Oracle RAC, you must:

  2 public IPs, you already have these:

  192.168.31.2 Node1

  Node2 192.168.31.3

  2 virtual IPs, for example:

  Node1-vip 192.168.31.12

  Node2-vip 192.168.31.13

  address 1 scan resolve in 1 or more IP addresses, for example:

  n scan 192.168.31.14, 192.168.31.15, 192.168,31.16

  (3 addresses are default, but 1 will be perfectly fine for a cluster 2 node test)

  All these above must be in the same subnet.

  Finally, you can add interfaces private to the DNS also, but this is not necessary if, for example:

  Node1-priv 172.16.31.2

  Node2-priv 172.16.31.3

  Note that the private interfaces must be on a subnet differenet.

  Use the linux server for the last 3 years without incident, and then after a reboot, showing errors are:
  
  Error Initializing SQL 6 * more
  SP1 file < lang > .msb not found message
  SP2-0750: you may need to set ORACLE_HOME in your Oracle software directory.
  
  Confirmed that the ORACLE_HOME, ORACLE_BASE, etc. are already defined.
  
  When I do the following:
  $cd $ORACLE_HOME/bin
  $pwd
  shows that in the correct directory.
  $sqlplus
  
  the above error.
  
  Confirmed this and/etc/oratab ORACLE_HOME path are identical.

  In the .bash_profile file, set:

  and then run the file .bash_profile

  1 understand agent goal in ODI. When you use the Local Agent during execution of the script, it will seek the files available in the local path. When you use an agent that is configured on your remote server, it will search the files available in the path of the remote server.
