I have reinstalled Windows yesterday and these errors are a direct result of that.

How can I fix?

Hello:

Try these drivers:

http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/WC/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-55777-1&CC=US&DLC=en&LC=en&os=2100&Product=3686683&sw_lang=

Please click on each of them in Device Manager for unknown devices.

Then click on the Details tab.  In the property drop-down list, select the second element (Hardware ID).

After the first string of characters you see in the window.

Those which will provide more information about the devices and I can send you the links to the drivers you need.

  • EliteBook 8570p: ProtectTools Device Access Manager blocks the upgrade of Windows 10

    Hello

    I can't upgrade Windows 7 Pro for Windows 10.

(Manual and automatic) installation fails because of the incompatibility of ProtectTools Security Manager (according to Microsoft). This is also described in a document that I found on the HP Web site: http://h20565.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?sp4ts.oid=5212912 & docId = docLocale & emr_na-c04734799... .

Before I can uninstall ProtectTools, I need to uninstall other HP, like Device Access Manager tools...

And this is my problem: how to uninstall Device Access manager? It is not listed under "programs and features". I tried to uninstall tools like CCleaner and Revo Unistaller, but they can't find it or the other.

I installed the latest version of ProtectTools, via the SoftPaq Download Manager and disabled all functions of the ProtectTools, as far as I can tell.

How do I remove subsequently ProtectTools?

    Best regards

    Wim.

I found a way to remove it on this Web site: http://www.shouldiremoveit.com/Device-Access-Manager-for-HP-ProtectTools-9553-program.aspx

    Run: MsiExec.exe /X {55B52830-024A-443E-AF61-61E1E71AFA1B}

    It fixed for me.

  • HP Pro450 G2: Disabling certain features of the Device Access Manager

I want to transfer data to my new laptop. To do this, I plugged a USB portable device from Seagate. Access to Device Manager then invites me my Windows password. So far I have not (yet) problems, but while I am trying to transfer data (300 GB) which lasts a few hours, the Device Access Manager appears a ball EVERY 15 minutes asking a password confirmation. I want to disable this current 15 minutes for a password prompt. If I'm not in front of the PC and the miss the bubble pop up then data transfer stops and I have to start over. SO BORING.

As I said, I do not fear demand for a password when the device is connected, but the interval of 15 minutes for a password entry must be disabled. I can't stay here all night when you do backups of data for the ball wating to pop-up every 15 minutes.

    Kind regards

You can uninstall Device Access Manager for HP ProtectTools without any concern.  It is only there to prevent users from connecting devices and copy the data from external drives.  For most people, it is not even necessary.  Simply go to the Control Panel window and uninstall through programs & features.

  • Attribute points to the quiz slides using Pools of issue Manager

Is it possible to assign the points must be reported to a slide when you use Pools of issue Manager?

If a slide, for example, has 10 points, and another slide is 5 points, when they are both added to a question pool, make loose them their initial number of points and get assigned some number of points chosen when a random slide is added to the pool?

I hope someone can clarify. Thank you.

I just checked in Captivate 5 and it seems that the notation is associated to the Question pool, not inserted at random Question slide slide.

If you are trying to achieve a result where the difficulty of the question has equaled the number of points awarded for doing things, you may need to put in place a number of question pools.  For example a pool of easy questions, another of medium difficulty and a third for really difficult.  Assign points 1 or 2 by default to the easiest, perhaps 5 for medium and 10 points for the hardest.

That's what I do in fact.

  • Device Version Manager: 6.1.7600.16385 presenting no matter what devices or Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit drivers? This has already been answered? If you don't see it you can check or update all drivers.

    14/07/13

Whenever the device driver is selected there is just a blank page that appears. There are no announcements of any drivers anywhere, or visible by any way within Windows 7 Home Premium. For this reason there is no way to check on all the drivers or the parts of the system to see if there is no system conflicts.  I have a driver repair program that when search enabled for and comes with a list of drivers on the computer and indicates the factors that bear on a date and will go through the steps to change but since I have no way to see the driver manager or it's poster so I can't say if something is changed.

If I have something again plug it into a USB Port, the computer recognizes that something has been plugged, but that it will not open the directory automatically, as it used to do.  For example if I put in a CD or a DVD that has auto start it won't, so it's just sitting there. If I use Windows Explorer and click computer directory will show a device for example: DVD has a DVD named such and so in the drawer.

Plug-and-Play is selected and activated, but it seems that it does not work.  If I plug a USB key into the USB (any USB port) it sometimes it indicates with a beep or a pop-up window indicating something was plugged or removed as the case may be.

If this file has been deleted, if it is to cause such a thing?  This computer (gateway) has a grounded partition which has a restore works however it resets all default settings etc. or can erase all files.  If there is a way to download the missing files, which makes Driver Manager do its thing, it would be a good thing. Any suggestions?

    22/07/2013

Thank you for your suggestions. They were a good start, I followed everything as suggested, but nothing helped.

    1. as to the question was just a new program installed before this problem?  The answer could be Yes. But unknown to you, because I can't be sure of the effective date of what's going on.

I tried to go back, at an earlier date, but it did not help.

    2. for Plug and Play - he already is set to Auto and is active, but it is grayed out and I can't change it. So it turns out that I'm locked somehow. Even if I am put as an administrator.

    3. I went into the registry and everything what you suggested is already there.

    4. the problem still exists.

    Always looking for HELP

    DwBent

    Hi DwBent,

I would be grateful if you could answer the following question:

Were there any software or hardware changes made on the computer before this problem?

    This can cause if the Plug and Play service is disabled (disabled people); I suggest you follow the troubleshooting steps and check if it helps;

    Method 1:

To resolve this problem, set the startup type for Plug-and-Play on automatic. To do this, follow these steps:

    (a) click Start, click run, type services.msc, and then click OK.

    (b) double click on Plug-and-Play. If you receive a Configuration Manager message, click OK.

    (c) in the Startup Type list, click Automatic, and then click OK.

    (d) Community Services.

    (e) restart the computer.

Method 2: The other reason, Device Manager may be empty is because there are some security issues with the registry key.

Warning: Important this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

    Back up the registry

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/back-up-the-registry

    (a) go to "Start", click "run", type "regedt32" and press enter.

    (b) expand the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" window

    (c) scroll down to "SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum".

    (d) with 'Enum' selected, click on "security", "Permissions" menu

Note: At this point, you'll probably notice that there are no permissions on this key.

    (e) click on 'Add'.

    (f) add the group "everyone" and the "SYSTEM" user.

    (g) select "everyone" and check the "read" ONLY!

    (h) select 'SYSTEM' and check the 'total control'.

    (i) click on the button "Advanced" at the bottom of the window.

    (j) on the control of the Advanced window "Reset permissions on all child objects... »

    (k) click on 'OK'.

    (l) in the warning window click "Yes."

    (m) to close the registry editor and check with the question.

    Hello
Do you know what that the technician who did to the computer in order to fix it?

  • found new hardware wizard appears and unknown device device Watch Manager

Since a few days ago, the Add New Hardware Wizard keeps popping up. I looked in Device Manager and found an unknown device (yellow exclamation mark) should I delete the device? I don't know what to do to identify which device is unknown.

If you remove it, then he'll probably be back the next time that you start.

go to start / all programs/windows update (at the top of the list of the menu), custom search, watch your optional hardware updates and search for a driver that you have not already installed, you can get lucky. Otherwise post the details of your specifications and ask again.

Furthermore, it can take a while to get the pages updated and you may need to install active x on the way, a line will appear at the bottom of the fixed part of your browser screen (the same as when you download) If this is the case, click on it and install active x, then a box should appear and tell you allow I think.

  • Why is my lack of training:, but the drive is listed in the devices/hardware Manager

OS Windows XP Pro, two identical computers both with USB 2.0.  The Freecom 250 GB external hard drive USB comes and works ok on one but not on the second PC.  Its icon appear briefly in 'My computer', but disappeared when I tried to access.     The drive appears in "Device Manager" under "drives" like Samsung HM 250JI USB Device. "  He was also listed as a USB Mass Storage Device in 'Remove hardware safely' but no drive letter.

I have re-formatted the USB key as a drive on the first computer, one also made by error-checking complete to include repair and defragmentation, whereupon I transferred the drive to the second computer, but without success.   Maybe I should give up just the drive because I have a very good IOMEGA USB drive.

I would be grateful for any advice.

    Richard Steiert.

    Hi Richard,

    Try the following.

Method 1: Run the Fixit tool in the following article.

A computer that is running Windows XP cannot detect a USB, an Apple iPod flash drive or an external hard disk drive

    Method 2:
update the computer with the latest chipset drivers and also any other device drivers. Log computer manufacturer site to do so.

  • Is deactivation of an element in the device enough Manager to avoid performance problems?

In Device Manager, I show two entries that have an open red on them when x. One is called Intel 537EP Modem and the other multimedia Audio Controller. The element of this second icon is a yellow question mark. Both are disabled in the properties. Deactivation is enough to remove them from the list of things THAT XP tries to start or load when I boot? I have a slow start; about 4.5 minutes. I don't know what is the modem. I use a USB wireless to a router in the House that goes to a DSL connection. I didn't use a modem for dial-up days. And I don't know what this audio controller - I have a sound card Sound Blaster Audigy which works very well. I tried to look into the BIOS to see if there was an additional way for XP does not try to access these two elements x'd, but could not find either.

The 537EP is a voice / fax modem I think and the audio system may be integrated multimedia audio controller (because you use a soundblaster (which is a PCI/PCI-E card)? SoundBlaster island isn't on board / part of the motherboard?

Disable the audio system built into the BIOS. The only way to remove the entry of the modem in Device Manager, open the case and remove the modem

Double-click the modem entry, what is the error on the general tab?

I click OK and you quit the program and then went to myCD of ejection, and it did not open. Then I go to my computer to select eject, and it not there no cd drive listed suddenly and not in the Device Manager either.

The light on the cd rom is always bright green constantly, but he will not answer or try to open when I press eject. And it does no sounds as if she is trying to read a disc or some such.
