This article from Epson says that the driver is included in Windows 7.

I don't see any info out there that clearly explains how to add it.  It simply States that you must go to "add a printer".  Looks like you already did this well.

  • horizontal lines appear in the photos when printing

I'm having a problem with printing photos in an indesign document.  When photos, jpeg files, are placed in the document and printed, there are small black lines that travelled horizontally through photos to a half inch.  These lines run through only the photos, not the rest of the document, and they do not appear when the photos are printed separated, and not in an indesign document.  This may be the cause?  Is there a guide that I accidentally put under tension which might be the cause?

Thanks for any help on this matter.

  • Epson Stylus Photo 780 printer

I used this printer from Windows XP, but may not use it in Windows Vista and I said I need help with driver for this printer,

What can I do to fix this?

    Kim

    Hello

If the drivers are not available for vista, then try installing the driver in compatibility mode.

    (a) locate the executable file for the driver installation program.

    (b) right click on the file and then click Properties.

    (c) in the PackageName Properties dialog box, click the Compatibility tab.

    (d) click to select run this program in compatibility mode for check box, click Windows XP (Service Pack 2) in run this program in compatibility mode for the list and then click OK.

    (e) double click on the executable file to start the Setup program.

  • Epson Stylus Photo R380 printer

This printer works very slowly - it takes about 4-5 minutes to start printing a page. I was able to print with the printer using Windows 7 for more than a year; the slow pace has just started a few months age. I did something?

It may well be the printer that is at fault. Run the troubleshooting guide...

  • Windows 7 not compatible with the Epson Stylus Photo R380

I have an Epson Stylus Photo R380 printer connected via USB to my Windows XP desk top.  I also have a laptop Windows 7, I want to share the printer.  I find that the drivers are not compatible.  Are there workarounds?   Thank you

Windows 7 is not inconsistent with the Epson Stylus Photo R380 (if anything, it would be the other way around).  The link shows that it should 'work' with Windows 7.

You may indeed need to connect the printer (directly) to the Windows 7 system once to get the appropriate drivers installed before trying to share your desktop Windows XP out to the other system on the network.  No guarantee it will work on the network like that - but I don't see why he wouldn't.

Hardware support always comes from the manufacturer of the equipment, regardless of the operating system that you choose to run.  If a hardware manufacturer decides that they will not put the drivers for a device after a given operating system or even a service pack on an operating system - it is their prerogative.  It has nothing to do with the operating system, or those who made the operating system.

    You have 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7?

If all goes well a part of which will take you to where you need to be.  In the end, however, do not forget it is the hardware manufacturer who takes in charge (or not) your hardware (for all other devices that comes up for.)

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate test (pre-release version) and I'm having problems to make my Epson Stylus Photo 950 printer to work. • Epson Stylus Photo 950 / Windows 7 64-bit driver

Is there a work around to get the Epson Stylus Photo 950 printer to work onWindows 7 64 bit platform? Apparently, Epson has abandoned further development of driver for this printer model.

The printer driver necessarily should be explicitly Windows 7 64 bit compatible, or another solution could be advised?

I have trouble finding information for this printer that is useful. I'll check more. In the meantime, it might be useful to try some of the included drivers 'in-box' with Win 7 64 bit.

Epson Stylus Photo Ex Esc/p 2

    -or-

    Color 900 Esc/P 2

    -or-

Generic IBM graphics 9 pins (if it works, print quality will be just at best)

    = OR =

Run the Add Printer Wizard and select Windows Update as a source of pilot (bottom right in the hand).

    Select
    Epson Stylus Photo 900 (M)

More than a little breath of shotgun approach, I admit.

  • Printer ICM Epson Stylus Photo 2200

New computer with window 8 64-bit.  Epson Stylus Photo 2200 printer installed.  Download windows driver epson15163.exe with stylus driver v5.93 8 update.  "After setting Photoshop manages color for printing, then on the Advanced tab, stressing the ICM causes the error message:" host driver printer for application has stopped working. "Any resolution available?  May not be able to print image by allowing the printer manage the colors.

I think I found a work around. I am also having this problem. I went on board > view devices and printers > select the Epson 2200 printer properties * NOT of PREFERENCES * (click you will get a menu select this option for at right) > advanced > default printing is > click ICM > click No. color adjustment > select the other details for the print job > click on save the setting > give the setting a name and click Save > NOW , pass the impression of photoshop printing parameters and apply them saved setting you just created and it needs to change so that the two "ICM" and 'No. Color Adjustment' clicked.

I searched everywhere for a fix, the explanation or her work around for this and I have not found anything. I think that it is a problem of 64-bit Windows 8... but it could be just us, too. Let me know if this worked for you!

I work with 8 64-bit WIndows, run Adobe Photoshop CS2.

  • How can I disable the color management in my Epson Stylus Photo R1900

How can I disable the color management in my Epson Stylus Photo R1900 printer? I use the Epson laetest driver, I use Adobe Photoshop CS5 and I'm on OSX 10.5.8.

    Thank you

    Joe

If you select "Photoshop manages color" the Epson R1900 with the commune 7.0 Updater installed on top of the 6. something driver automatically disables the printer color management.

If for any reason any it is working properly, the R1900 user guide is available online. Page 28 and 29 of this guide shows how to turn off the Epson printer color management.
