difference between Interactive Reporting (IR) and the reports of Production (PR)

Could someone tell me the difference between IR and PR Version 9.3.1 or later if its important. My impression is that IR is used for ad hoc reporting, and PR is used for the production of regular reports. I believe you can also create reports that production of IR also, so I don't see where is the difference.

Thank you
Tom

Hi Tom,

PR or HYPERION SQR PRODUCTION REPORTING focus produces high quality reporting mass. The reports are designed and then demand by admins (or report developers), end users are generally not involved.

IR or creation of INTERACTIVE REPORTING, HYPERION focuses on ad-hoc data analysis. IR can be put in place to enable end users to modify queries for the purpose of analysis and output then reports or dashboards.

Here are the 2 cheat sheets:

There is no difference in the product itself.

Although if you get a generic OEM full version, it contains the
even software, it has the following disadvantages compared to the
    commercial version:

    1. the biggest drawback of an OEM version (at least in the USA) is
that its license it permanently binds to the first computer, it is
installed on. He can never legally be moved to another computer, sold,
or given (except with the original computer). If the computer
dies or is stolen, your license dies with him.

    2. he can't do a clean install, not an upgrade.

3 Microsoft offers no support for OEM versions. You cannot call their
with a problem, but rather to secure the necessary support of your
OEM; who take in charge may go anywhere between property and non-existent. Or
You can get support elsewhere, like in these forums.

  • Difference between file system capacity and the capacity of the disks in Capacity Planner reports

    Hello

I had to go on my Capacity Planner tool training soon, but I have a question on the front that frustrates me. In the evaluation report that comes out of the tool after the analysis, a use of disc section, which lists all the servers for analysis there. A column of this report is directed to file system capacity, another disk capacity. In all cases, the first is less than the latter. What is the exact meaning of these labels?

Some of the numbers differ substantially between the columns, for example 20 GB for a capacity of 36 GB of disk space for a server and file system. He said that only 20 GB to 36 GB disk is formatted/partitioned to use?

    As previously stated:

Disk capacity is 36 GB - physically, there are 36 GB of storage.

File system is logical capacity - the amount of space used by files on the disks.

File system and the capacity of the disks will never match because fees General table of file.

    I hope this helps.

  • How to calculate the difference between a Date column and the Date yesterday in the analysis (in the formula in the column)

. For example, I need to calculate the difference between a date column, 'Table_Name '. "' Column_Name ' and (Current_Date-1). I tried different ways to do this. But nothing seems to work.

    Try the below formula.

Replace "Time". "" Date "with your column.

    TIMESTAMPDIFF (SQL_TSI_DAY, "Time". "Date", TIMESTAMPADD (SQL_TSI_DAY-1, CURRENT_DATE))

  • Difference between bookmarks per Page and the anchor icons

    Hello

I use InDesign each year to update a large guide.  I had sort of teach me how to use this software, but since I don't use not all year, I forgot things.  One of them has to do with my favorites.  I noticed that all my favorites have an icon of the page, but it has an icon of the anchor, like this:

    indesign1.JPG

First of all, what is the difference between them?   And second, every time I update the Table of contents, anchor moves where I nested it all the way to the top of the bookmarks, right under the Table of contents, as follows:

    indesign2.JPG

Anyone know why this is happening?  I think it has to do with the fact that this particular section is not explicitly listed in the Table of contents, but I don't want to have a bookmark for it.  But I would like to embed the bookmark in the right position, what is shown in the first image in this post.  Could someone help me this?  Thank you!

I think that I thought about it.  First of all, most of the bookmarks have was probably generated by the table of contents itself.

In terms of changing a bookmark of anchor text to a bookmark of the page, I realized that I had to get out the block of text, simply use the selection on the page and then create a new bookmark.

So I did, and now all of my icons are pages in the bookmarks bar.  However, whenever I update the table of contents, he always puts this bookmark immediately under the table of contents.  I think this behavior is because this particular bookmark (called sweeps Dates) is not actually included in the table of contents (by design).  I have it in a different style to make the table of contents is not picking it up.  But I guess since the table of contents generates all the other favourites, it sorts the update and then put just created this maually bookmark "Balaie les Dates" below, above the rest of the bookmarks.

If there is a case, I don't know if there is a work around specific to this situation.  It could be one of these minor idiosyncrasies that I'll have to deal with.  It is not a big problem to have to move whenever I update the table of contents, and I mostly just try to improve my understanding of InDesign in asking about this behavior.

  • Difference between an ActionScript file and ActionScript class

    Hello

Could you get it someone please let me know what is the difference between a file Action and the Action Script class

On the Flex Builder it offers the possibility to create an ActionScript file as well as
    an ActionScript class.

Can someone please let me know what is the difference between these two?

    Thanks in advance.

    Kiran,

ActionScript file is basically something that you can include in your mxml file is similar as you write the code in the tag. Where class actionscript will behave as an object for which you can create the new instance.

  • Chains of passage between interactive reports

Is it possible to pass strings between interactive reports? I need to put up a link in the column to apply a filter to a report based on the value of a column that contains a string value. I followed the instructions on this site and the Application Builder user's Guide: http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/apex/apex31nf/apex31advirr.htm. However, by clicking on the link of the column produces an unfiltered report. I tried to use a numeric column instead of a string column, and the filter worked correctly. No idea why this happens and how I can work around it?

    Thank you
    user8641601

    Josh,

You can try to make the target URL link and paste the following text:

    f? p = & APP_ID.: 11: & SESSION. : & DEBUG. : IR_Patient_ID: #SHC #.

You need to replace the 11 with the page you are redirecting too well. This is the URL, developed from my link.

  • Differences between (interactive) PDF and PDF (Print)

What are the main differences between (Interactive) PDF and PDF (Print)?
Now, it seems to me that (Interactive) PDF is a limited version of PDF (Print).

Links to read on this subject?

    Thank you in advance,
    Feldmayer

They are really two different options of the same thing.

A PDF print can be interactive and interactive PDF can go to print.

It really depends on content and distribution.

If a PDF will print, often has no need to keep one of the aspects of a PDF interactive (and PDF printing is not likely to have videos, etc..)

If a PDF file is intended to be interactive, it is usually intended to be distributed via the web or by email, in order to keep pictures high resolution is not necessary.

There is a bit of compromise.

I used to keep the interactive bookmarks in a print file, but not always.

  • What is the most important difference between 3D Picture control and controlling the display of Simulator

I want to create a simulation of 3D on the front panel, and I see that we can use a 3D image control or a display of Simulator control. It seems that each of them can be used at the same position. What is the most important difference between 3D Picture control and display of Simulator?

    Hi sfh1,

You are right, I found examples of Robotics that use 3D photo control and display Simulator control to display a scene 3D on the front panel. After further research, it seems that control the display of Simulator adds additional features compared to the 3D picture control. The control displays Simulator allows the user to right-click control during execution and change the background color, draw fashion, draw contact, view the ID of robot, display sensor data, suspension of service Simulator and reset service Simulator.

  • What is the difference between HP Photo Creations and Snapfish

    I've been curious.

What is the difference between HP Photo Creations and Snapfish?

Hi Jeff17866. The difference between these two services are the location, accessibility and share-ability of the recorded images. Snapfish is a photo on the web edition and sharing and belonged to printing HP service. You upload your images on the Snapfish site and share with other sites (Facebook, Flickr, etc) by selecting the appropriate options. The images are then stored on the cloud, and you will be able to access it from any device with Internet access. So, if you want to easily share your photos with your friends and family around the country, Snapfish is a great tool to do. HP Photo Creations is a photo editing software that you download to your desktop. You can edit your photos and order prints just as with Snapfish, but all pictures remain on your hard drive. They can be shared by downloading files on the sites you want the images appear, but you are not able to access it on other devices. -Chauntain
