• Satellite L750D - issue strange keyboard/touchpad

  Hi guys, I'm new here and I hope you can help me.

  I have a Satellite L750D here who has a strange keyboard/touchpad issue.

  Recently, my screen was replaced and I toke the possibility of replacing the DD by a SDS.

  I used the OS restore cd that I created from the partition recovery and completely reinstalled Windows 7 64 - Bit ones.

  Everything seemed to work well after the last restart.

  Then my after reboot, the keyboard was not working and or the touchpad.
  I tried to restart / stop and start again, no change.

  I plugged a USB keyboard and mouse, both work perfectly.

  I reinstalled the drivers of touchpad on Toshiba site, still no change.

  Then, I closed the lid and leave Notepad go into sleepmode/setting standby extended and found that when I opened the lid/screen, the keyboard was working again, but not the touchpad.

  Fn + F9 made no difference.

  I then pressed the button above the touchpad, but the touchpad remained dead. But after pressing this button, the keyboard went dead too!
  The key for the touchpad power made no difference, the keyboard or the touchpad remained dead.

  Given zero made no difference either.

  Throw the drivers in safe mode led the pilots to be reinstalled, but both keyboard and the touchpad remained dead.

  The only thing to bring back the keyboard is the cover and goes sleepmode/setting to Hibernate and wake up to the laptop.

  But press the button above the keyboard and the touchpad is dead again.

  Started from a Windows 7-LIVE CD, both keyboard and the touchpad remained dead.
  Started from a live CD of Ubuntu Linux, keyboard works, no mather, you press the button for the touchpad, but the touchpad
  died.

  Is there anything else I can try, or what I have to assume there's something defect requiring hardware repair/replacement?

  I plugged a USB keyboard and mouse, both work perfectly.

  It's really strange... from my point of view of the rare, the mouse and external keyboard works properly, then the controller should be OK, and this means that the anomaly must be linked to the defective keyboard / touchpad.

  But on the other hand, you said that the keyboard works correctly starting Linux Live CD.
  For me, it makes no sense and I'm confused...

  Anyway, given that the laptop has been disassembled to replace the screen and other parties, I think that something went wrong during this process and probably a part has been affected...

  In my opinion, it is advisable to replace the keyboard and to check if it will fix the problem.

  This isn't really a normal feature on the storm, but if you are using the original operating system, it was supposed to be a bug that works for those of you who like it.  Note that the updates do not have this feature (as a record, you don't wonder what happened after the upgrade).

  Now then, depending on what I was reading, and if you had this feature before, you should be able to re - activate by going to Options > language.  Note that you need the phone in portrait mode (and mine at least, it must also be to start multitap mode) when you go to the language option.  At the bottom of the screen, you will see an entry Options button.  In this section, uncheck and then re - check 'Predictive Input' and 'Include Spell Check Variants'.  Save the settings.  Then go back to Options and go to the screen/keyboard and reselect Multitap and save the settings again.  If necessary, follow with a battery pull.

• 8943 R61i DKG: Impossible update CPU Intel T5250-> T5550?

  I recently bought this R61i 8943 DKG Bios 1.18 with an Intel T5250 (dual core 2, 1500 Mhz).

  I thougt it should be easy (as I did for an R60) to upgrade the processor.

  When you place a T5550 (dual core2, 1.86 Mhz), there is no video wouldn't boot (ok HARD drive). The screen remains black.

  I even tried with a (dual core2, 1.86 Mhz) T5600, same black screen.

  I should know about?

  I found the truth really, looking for documentation on the lenovo Site:

  The R61i accepts only the following CPU: T5250 (Dual core, 1.50 Mhz, 667 Mhz, 2 MB cache)

  T5450 (Dual core, 1.66 Mhz, 667 Mhz, 2 MB cache)

  and T5470 (Dual core, 1.60 Mhz, 800 Mhz, 2 MB cache).

  The MB seems to be narrowed to the CPU and the invalidity of any faster CPU, with a black screen.

  IN FACT, I think THAT is THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN R61i and R61 SERIES...

  I think that Safari has the same keyboard shortcut in Firefox 'cmd + F' on a Mac or a 'Ctrl + F' on Windows.

  Look in the lower left corner to find. There are more likely to be next and previous differences in keyboard shortcuts, but continuing in the search bar at the bottom no matter what browser you use. It is an 'X' to reject the search bar. In Windows, the "Esc" key will reject the bar if you are in the search text entry box.

• Strange behavior of Yosemite after restoring from Time machine

  After having passed my MacBook Pro to El Capitan, I tried the same thing with my Mac Mini (mid 2011).

  Has not completely, because the system is stuck on the gray screen with the bar locked (10 hours) in advance. Impossible to get on this screen (sometimes P - ram reset restart, try Mode safe without success), I decided to return to Yosemite using my full time Machine backup.

  This operation was successful, but with a few strange things:

  • Normally, my system language is set to French. But at startup (i.e. asking the password), the system speaks English. It's extremely confusing, because the layout of the keyboard is also different (for example, the first key of the letter is 'Q', where on a French keyboard the first key is 'A', other differences of keyboard also). Once a user is logged on, the system returns itself to the lay-out French!
  • The new pit of backup Time Machine does not start. It remains suspended in the "preparation of files for backup" (= free translation).
  • The fan is working at high speed.

  Repair permissions and restart didn't help.

  Someone has an idea?

  Remove any all NM/NME or WIC/HWIC cards and restart again.  If the router is able to start properly, upgrade the router to a higher version.  DO NOT use another "T" train if it is needed.  Use instead a train of "M".

  I want my wife to backup is unlocked 8520 (tmobile running). Her friend tried to install an app some time ago (I don't know the details) and the result was it's the blackberry all deleted data instead. Thought I would setup the software of BB (for Win7) Office Manager but when connected it calls for the "unlock code". Wifey is scared s - less than at the time when I enter the unlock code, the bb will destroy itself again. And, of course, I don't want to be between it and the phone if that were to happen ;-). Can someone tell if it is safe to proceed? Or, if not (or if questionable), is there another way to backup/restore of the data on the phone? She has no data plan, btw. $30 / mo tmobile talk/text only is sufficient for its application.

  Hello and welcome to the community!

  Looks like she had a locking device assigned to his BB password. When it is in place, it is required when connecting to the PC to do something with this BB at all. So, since the PC keyboard, you must enter the correct password that customarily used to unlock his BB on his keyboard. If, given the difference in keyboards... a lot of people think that, on their BB, they hit some specific characters for their passwords when their password is something completely different... in fact, it's the characters of the password that are needed, not only the physical of the BB pressed keyboard keys (ALT and control keys using change as a result of the BB keyboard character).

  If you enter it's bad, it should say, as well as tell you how much you have left the attempts (usually there are 10 attempts). If this happens, then you can always untether and enter the password on the BB keyboard (they are the same counter), closely observe can see what are the actual password characters.

  I have a Satellite Pro A10, which needs a new keyboard - there's loads are circulating on ebay for Satellite A10 - but not the Pro - now I'm almost 100%, it'll be the same keyboard - right? the 'Pro' ILO denounces just usually extras bits and things qhizzy-, but basically they are the same hardware platform slot - i.e. the same keyboard between the A10 Sat and Sat Pro A10

• R61 R500 keyboard

  Does anyone know if the old R61 keyboard can be installed on the new R500? I want to replace it because this keyboard has a lot of flex. I read that the keyboard works on the T500 but I could not find if the T500 and the R500 use the same. I also read that lenovo in the USA replaces keyboards for free, but I asked the service the customer in my country (Croatia) and they told me that I have to pay myself for the keyboard. Why is this?

  Well, Lenovo does not officially provide keyboards replacement for T400/500 and other "affected" models, but you have to go through certain channels on this forum to make...

  But to answer your question: Yes, the R61 keyboard will work in a R400/500.

  Since the upgrade to iOS 10 my smart keyboard is not recognized by my iPad Pro, when I connect it a message pops up saying: "This accessory is not supported by this device. I have already reset my iPad to factory using my macbook, but it made no difference. Anyone got any ideas? It seems a few people having problems with the Smart keyboard since the upgrade to 10 but can not find someone else on secondment is not at all supported load/work?

  Hi, I use an iPhone 6 more for two years. I decided to take the IOS 10 beta program starting with beta 1. It feels like the problem occurs since beta 4 or 5. It happens even with the final version which was released the week last to beta users. Since the official release of iOS 10 my iPhone says that it is already up to date. So I made a backup with iTunes, removed the beta version of profile, restored the iPhone with a new Image downloaded with iTunes and read my backup yesterday. The problem still exists.

  As feedback app has been suspended for the last beta (it says its compression feedback while it will never end it), I decided to appeal to you guys. Apple has only rewritten on feedback that were not relevant. The real problems, I have never any replay...

  Here's the problem:

  I use a German software keyboard. That comes with the iPhone. I use my phone without any problem for hours. At one point, using any application (any), the keyboard stops working. For example, I play an iMessage. While I'm typing and entering the SPACEBAR on the keyboard is hung up. Then, I need to close the application, because I can't touch anything in there. When I restart the application its going to cling to the Point of typing again. In this example, I had to enter my email address, the guillotine place begins to enter the point (.). Subsequently the auto fix suggests to me the first part of my email address (in front of the symbol @). When I choose this suggestion and tab on it, the keyboard is to find work. But if I erase the free space after the word and entered the symbol @, the keyboard starts suspended once again. If I close the application and do this several times.

  It seems that AutoCorrect is responsible for this kind of error.

  I already changed the AutoCorrect settings on "all off" or "all about" standard Doesn't make a difference.

  The problem occurs on the iPhones of my colleagues too. So I have an iPhone 6, the colleague has iPhone 6 and another iPhone 6 s.

  I have the same problem as of 18/09/2017, I tried hard or repeatedly factory reset, but the keyboard seems to freeze, unable to type... If all goes well, they find a solution on this, and another thing I noticed that did reset the phone screen shows different colors each time...

• The keyboard delete key deletes 2 emails instead of one.

  How to prevent two emails being deleted by hitting the DELETE key on the keyboard, or delete button inside the app.
  Second message disappears from the Inbox automatically after very short time, the two go directly in the trash.
  Replace the mouse or the keyboard makes no difference. (btw are brand new and work flawlessly in all applications, no double clicks).

  I believe that the error is finally fixed. It is always difficult to determine the cause.
  Clearing .msf files and mailbox compacting has not made a difference although in some situations it may be useful.
  After delete account, delete all profiles folders and files, add new account, switching between "move this folder" and "Just mark as deleted" in "server settings->when I delete a message" twice, the message download limit, restart and remove the limit applied work.
  On a side note, Inbox, and other records were not synchronized properly initially.
  Weird, the problem was only one of the many other accounts that Thunderbird is connected.
  Looks like a minor bug, even if for now the problem seems to have disappeared.

  'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: "show the Cookies".
