Differences in layout among browsers - Firefox, Chrome and IE9

Greetings.

I have a site of old-school aged over ten years, have been updated for the last year and get ready to download. I don't know CSS or any other contemporary code, but can find my HTML OK way, especially on the Dreamweaver interface. I don't know how to go into the code, when I need to.

Unfortunately, before I knew that Firefox and Chrome have more users than Solution Explorer, I renewed its site while Preview in Explorer. Now that I'm almost done, I presented a preview in Firefox and Chrome. Not too bad, but the buttons on the right side moving their positions slightly when moving from page to page (mainly the horizontal displacement). I've already been struggling so they align perfectly in Explorer. In some cases, even the outer table, edges move a little. The first three pages of the site to the top line just all three browsers, oddly enough. So I know I need to understand what I have done in the first three pages I did differently in the following pages.

Any suggestions on which is better looking without seeing my real site? I had pretty decent before you download it, if possible, but if you can not help without seeing it, I'll upload it and liaise.

Thank you very much
Paula

Code errors represent 98% of the browser rendering problems.  Validate your code and solve the reported problems:

http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&URI=http%3A%2f%2Fwww.pbdesigns.NET%2f

Your page is running in Quirks Mode.  Absence of a type declaration of valid document (DTD) on the first line of your code, browsers are confused about how to render this page.

In DW, go to modify > Page Properties (Ctrl + J)

Click on title/encoding > of Type of Document (DTD) > select a type of document that corresponds to your coding skills.  I recommend 4.1 HTML Transitional.  Click OK.

Save the page and preview in all browsers.  Repeat with the other pages of the site.

    Hello

There is no connection between all of these applications.
Mentioned work as stand-alone software apps and each software can be uninstalled and installed separately.
I think you need to uninstall these software and after having cleaned the Vista using CCleaner (freeware software) install the software again.

  • browsers (IE8, Firefox, Google Chrome and Opera) 32-bit and Vista 64-bit

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion dv2842se. I've had a little more than a year. IE 7 was originally installed with a version 32-bit and 64-bit. Not long after that I got it, the 32-bit version stops working. More specifically, as soon as I open the program it would be closed and completely unusable. I couldn't understand the question, so I installed Mozilla Firefox 32 bit and just used that. When the update of IE 8 came out, I downloaded and still had the same problem, so I continued to use Firefox.

With the help of Mozilla has worked for me until about two weeks ago, when Mozilla started to become more and more reliable and now completely unusable. Assuming that it was a specific problem of Mozilla, I downloaded the 32-bit versions of Chrome and Opera and finished with all versions of four 32-bit navigation programs are the same.

I realize that I can simply use the 64 bit version of IE8, as I did since I have no choice. However, there is a big problem with this. IE8 does not support Adobe Flash Player, which is required to run virtually all Web sites - including on the main site I use for my college classes. As the main reason that I bought this computer was for College, my computer as a whole is pretty useless to me without a functional browser that supports Adobe Flash Player.

By the statement of HP, I tried to disable all add-ons, reset all internet settings and uninstall then reinstall Adobe Flash Player. I even on my own I've tried a system restore and scanned for viruses, spyware and software malware. Nothing has worked.

Please, please, please if there is absolutely everything I can do to restore my browsers 32 bit in a usable state, please help me. I really do not have the money to buy a new computer, and 64-bit operating systems are almost now - standard, so there is no saying that if I bought a new computer for the same thing does not happen everywhere.

Thanks for any help you can provide! It is much appreciated!

    Hi guys,.

Paul - try to uninstall IE8 and run a startup repair.  If the Startup Repair cannot take care of the problem, try to do a repair on the System Installation.

    1 uninstall Adobe Flash Player:

  • Why goolgeearth does not work with Chrome and Safari but not Firefox

When in firefox using Google maps and click on "EARTH", I get a window indicating that, to use the 3D, I have to install 21.0 Google Earth plugin with option click on 'Download '. Note: Firefox 21.0 and MAC OS 10.7.5 have all current software updates installed. Safari and Chrome are asking not for any plug-ins and 3D Earth option works very well. ANY HELP?

PS my MAC has an Intel HD Graphics 3000 installed, but my MAC, Safari, and Chrome work fine.

Google Earth requires a graphic that comes pre-installed with Chrome and Safari plug-in. If Google Earth works on other browsers, install the Firefox plug-in is the solution. To install this on Firefox, download it from the prompt window, or go to https://www.google.com/earth/explore/products/plugin.html.

  • Extensible html problem running on a server in Chrome and Firefox

    Hello!

I'm having a problem with the scalable html option that comes with 6 Captivate.

I have a project that is 1024 x 768 and if you need it to be able to scale to different sizes of monitor. I checked the option 'content html' scalable in the publication settings.

When I run the .htm file locally scale works well in all browsers - however, when I run the file .htm online via a server scaling only works in Internet Explorer. In Chrome and Firefox, the size of the project is fixed and very very small.

If someone else has had this problem, and is there a way around it?

    Thank you

    Rick

Ah, I think I knew what went wrong.

I put the file in its new location on our server so that I could provide a link and it started fine-scale again! The original location on the server at home for my other Captivate projects... some of them do not have the option '-scale selected html content.»

So when I played my evolving html project, I think it was referencing a different captivate.css of the file that was originally display strangely.

I think I'll change the name of the .css file and the code in the .htm file to fix the problem.

Thanks for the research of Jim

    See you soon

  • Firefox will not connect to any Web site. Chrome and IE work fine.

I use Firefox as my main browser for years without any problem. A couple of days without reason apparent, is no longer connected to ANY Web site. The tab displays indefinitely 'connection '.... "with the circle of rotation. I can use IE and Chrome without any problem. I rechecked the Options-> advanced-> connection to the proxy settings and tried all options but nothing helped. I also started using the safe and still nothing. • Google on Firefox gets my incorrect location (Chrome and Edge are fine)

Since the upgrade to Windows 10, I had some localization issues when using Firefox. When I search something in Google, I get only US results (we are located in the Canada). However, Chrome and Edge both show good Canadian results. I checked the location of my IP address and it shows Toronto (as it always has).

It's only a problem since upgrade to Windows 10. When I was installing Windows 10, I know that I turned off location services because I don't trust Microsoft with any personal information. However, thinking that this might be the cause of my problems, I finally gave in and activated the service return. However, it has not fixed the problem.

I tried to change the settings for Google Privacy policy by clicking on the padlock and setting the access location to 'allow' but which does not have something or the other.

I am at a loss. Firefox has been my main browser for more than a decade, but it's a deal breaker. I am currently working on a SEO project and I need my search results as specific location.

Many Canadian and British users report that Google redirects is more research that Firefox sends to google.com on the local country site. Is that what happens to you, you get results on google.com , instead of google.ca?

I have yet to see no explanation for the change, or any miracle. What I suggest is to install a google.ca- specific search plugin and do as your default.

For example, this page has four options of Google Canada:

    http://mycroftproject.com/Google-search-plugins.html

During the installation, should be offered the opportunity to make the new default search plugin. You can try it for a while and see if you like the results and, if not, you can change your default by using the Options page search section:

"3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > search
