Different colors in PDF format

ww.jpg

I'm trying to do a simple little brochure in Indesign (my first time), but when I save this document to PDF the color near the Palm tree is a little darker than the rest of the black. I took the black color of the Palm tree photo (it is surrounded by black) with the eyedropper tool, so it must be exactly the same color on the right?

It is a JPEG file and matches the black color, even on the highest resolution. Do I did wrong when recording in PDF format?

InDesign has preferences how black is out or read on RGB devices.

In Preferences > appearance

Black display on-screen display Accuartely or display in Rich Black.

I have mine to display the value accurately.

This affects only RGB devices and nothing to do with the PDF for commercial printing.

  • Conversion of MS Word documents with bacgrounds colors in pdf format

Forgive an Acrobat "dope", but externally, this seems to be a simple problem... I can not understand!

For work, I use Microsoft Office Word 2003 (MS Office Pro 2003) and Acrobat 8 Pro.  I have no problem to convert an MS Word doc, with the foreground, images or text, or PDF.  However, if I give any MS Word doc, a backgroundcolor, using the Format Menu > background > and then selecting a color, the color is not everywhere in the conversion to PDF-, I find myself with a standard white page, instead of color!

Where I'm going wrong?  Or is this something color background that Acrobat cannot convert, whatever I do?  I do wish to produce an effect of 'Nick' by placing a color image behind the text (which I know will work) because the size pdf files become larger I want.  I want to 'color paper' using menu of MS Word and convert it to a pdf with this same "color paper" being the result.  Is this possible?  If so, how?

Thanks in advance for any help that might be available out there...

In WORD: TOOLS > Options > Print > background color and images (I had already checked background printing, but which refers to the process of printing, not the background. Check this other does the trick. It is probably disabled by default to prevent using regular printers ink.)

  • Problem exporting file with spot colors in color in pdf format

I have a book that I designed in InDesign CS3. It has 150 images in there, which are Photoshop eps files: line drawings with a filling of black tones. InCS3, when I need to send files back to the Publisher, the eps files came out fine in any pdf that I did. Now in CS5.5, no matter what I do, only the task of color appears in the images - their black outlines will not be displayed. I'm sure it has something to do with the settings of a certain type, but I can't figure it out for the life of me. Help!

  • 100 HP LaserJet color MFP M175: scan to the PDF Format

    Hello

While using the scanner of HP LaserJet 100 color MFP M175a I don't get an option to save the file in PDF format. I use a scanner through Windows Fax and Scan. Kindly help

    Hey @HBootwala,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see you are trying to scan PDF documents of your 100 Laserjet color MFP M175a printer to your computer for Windows 8.1. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once that is done, scan, you want to scan using HP Scan, rather than Windows Fax and Scan. You can download the latest version of HP Scan by clicking this link. Once installed when you need to scan, you can open the program and select this option to save your document in PDF format.

Please let me know if this solves your problem by clicking on accept solution. If you still have questions, please let know what happened during the installation of your software and I'll be better able to help you. If not, have a great day!

  • underlined text retains do not fill color to the PDF format saved in 6 IND.

After typing a Word, create outlines, then add a dash of contour (say 1 pt), the original color barrier does not appear in the PDF that I previsualisez in Acrobat Pro. The word appears as outline only.

I have to go back and put the same word (before describing) on the version described it "appears so" as filled in the following PDF.

I have attached a screenshot. This image shows the word red, KINGDOM, has been exposed, but I put the (unexposed) red text above (InD) to make it appear as being filled in the PDF file. Words in blue, ETERNAL and POWER, are also described and briefed on InD, but I do not you cover them (as KINGDOM), to show the appearance in the PDF file.

I've also attached a screenshot of the original with the same text as InD doc indicated (accident 1pt stroke) which seems OK here before registration in PDF format.

The word MINISTRIES is not described. It is the original text.

It does not appear in 5.5, I recall. Any ideas? What is a parameter InD I missed or pref in Acrob Pro?  Thank you

    icfives

    no fills InDes.pngfills InDes.png

Now that I see this particular problem with the text of Bauer, I know how to deal with them in the future. I just wanted to be clear that this was no InD or PDF. Trajan is a close substitute. As Bauer is already established in the context of this logo, it must stay.

Perhaps in the future the leaflets (with logo), I could save in jpg format only, which eliminates the problem of contour.

    Thanks... icfives

  • When I save a file in pdf format, colors appear evil in my Mail

I have a client who requires me to send art in pdf format. No problem, but since I have upgraded to CS6, the pdf file is displayed wrong in email when I insert it and when it is received on the other side. Some colors change.

I use Illustrator and I tried flattening of art (sometimes only some layers appear?), check the transparency, verification of the parameters of output during the process of "save under". Nothing works. If I send it as a jpg it's OK, but it cannot display the jpgs on his device (don't know why) so I'm stuck sending pdf files that look bad.

Can someone help me understand why this is happening and how to avoid it?

I use Mail as my email application and I have OS 10.7.4

    Thank you

Apple Mail uses the Apple own PDF Viewer, and it's... Well, let's be nice and say not really up to paragraph do not use for anything else that to check there is * something * in your mail. Then use the free Adobe Reader to view PDFS.

  • HP Color Laserjet 277dw MFP: how to scan using the smaller files, such as JPEG and PDF formats

The scanner automatically saves files as TIF, which are too big for my needs. How can I change this setting to save the files scanned in JPEG or PDF format?

(I scan using only HP Easy Scan of my computer, because my home computer is not on a network, I can't use the scan features Control Panel (scan to e-mail, etc.).)

    Thank you!

This document crosses using HP Easy Start to scan:

But basically when you save the file, you can select the format.  In the drop down next to Format: select JPEG or any other file format you want.

To set this as a default use the Edit option in presets to create a new or edit and existing preset.

  • HP photosmart 7510e, C311a, able to download my fax that you download in Notepad, but in pdf format

I have a printer HP photosmart 7510e c311a, when I send me a fax I had the possibility to download but when I did he downloaded in Notepad, but is unreadable because it is in pdf format, how to change it, also I am not able to add contacts to my eFax account.

I only use the free service that I just need to send or receive a fax, once a year or more, but it will be useful for when I need.

I am not able to change my printer settings in eprint I could do before HP Smart friends helped me not with it when I could get it no longer to recognize my password or start the installation disc, after a complete system restore, I could connect but now have a different ePrint #, Fax services still recognizes my PIN code and it is already added to the Google chrome printer service in fact right now everything is download on Notepad instead of the Adobe reader, bills etc. online.

I am a home user and do not need to purchase or upgrade to Adobe Reader to convert my documents, users at home not much need to purchase this service.

When I send a picture it also prints in black and white even if it is set to the color.

If anyone can answer my question about how to solve this problem, I'd appreciate it. I am using windows 7 Home premium 64-bit, computer to desktop HP Pavilion Elite HPE-150ff.

emma22 - I agree completely.  If it's working now so that, by far, is so important. I'm sorry they removed some of your previous features and I wish I could find a workaround but when it comes to their Web sites, how they save their faxes and contacts, among other things, I found that a suggestion of e-mail may be useful to reset the numbers or PIN codes , but that's all I usually ask them based on what others have told me.  I want even once, I could have done more, but I'm always happy to help or try.  Thank you for being very informative with me your experience. I really enjoyed that a lot.

  • How can I reduce the size of the file when you save a psd in pdf format

I have a psd with graphics and text, it is 8.5 x 11, 300 dpi

I flatten the image and go to save as .pdf file I uncheck all options in general.

Compression, I tried a dozen different combinations and the way I found to get a document that is not pixelated or blurred is to use JPEG 2000 > lossless or jpeg > maximum.

So I have a document of high quality but the file sizes are approximately 900 KB.

I downloaded the documents of others of the exact same type and size (8.5 x 11, 300 dpi) that I have seen in Photoshop, they aren't pixelated or blurred and their file sizes are 300 KB or even less than 200 KB

    How do do that?

    Delete all layers used, invisible.

Zip compression is sometimes better than the jpg compression (in the pdf output settings). Zip is lossless and it works best with a color not degraded or not images.

Flatten the image before saving it to pdf format can reduce the size of the file, if you use the jpg compression.

See a preview of your pdf file and we can comment further on how to reduce the size of the file.

  • How can I get this file exported in PDF format

How can I get a single file magazine among many others to export to PDF?  For 12 years, we used different versions of ID to produce a magazine that is black & white, sent to the printers in PDF for offset. We kept of many originals of color photo that we had converted to grayscale.  We do visit back editions, replacement of grayscale images with color when we haave it and export of high quality Print PDF.  These are displayed on a web page for customers to download back issues.

The May 2011 edition is exporting in PDF format, at least not with the same settings as before and after this date questions, and different export settings does nothing for the situation.  Tried .idml export and opening as a new file as suggested in the FAQ.  This is saved as a new ID file under a new name.  Still won't export to PDF, although the export of .idml went smooth as a whistle.  Have been verified links and relinked two images in grayscale which was reported in the file links.  No change.  Have replaced outdated (TT) fonts with new (OT).  No change.  We continue to work backwards in time with these conversions, and always the older files export fine after the insertion of color.  It is ID5 on a Win7 machine with lots of RAM.  This part done ID5 to a creative suite so other applications are available in the machine.  Don't have not trashed preferences, because they work with the editions before and after the trouble.  What should I do next?

Thank you, Pierre.  Export a page both reduced the search down to a problem page, which has turned having a problem with a graph that is used in each issue.  Replacement and reissue of links that graphic design has exceeded this bump.  It was on the new copy of the file that has gone through all the other changes described previously, so I don't know if they have had no effect.  Need to return other issues rather than experiment with the original file.

  • Can (CS5) export to PDF format and compress Images?

Using CS5, I have a 'book' with 12 chapters and a total of about 800 color images. The goal is to export it to a PDF file that is shown on the screens, not sent to a printer.

When I export to PDF format, the file size is huge: about 240 MB.

I want this file to be much - a lot! -smaller size (in MB).

I have all images with different resolutions - from 72 dpi to 220 dpi - and I do not have the higher resolutions.

What is the best way to approach this problem? ...

--Are there a way to set Indesign to compress images when exporting?

    - Or if Photoshop can be used to 'batch' compress images at 72 dpi?

    - Or is there another method that I can't even imagine.

    Thank you very much!

    Zorba

Look in the export PDF dialog box. In the "Compression" Panel, you can set a maximum allowed DPI - any image of a value greater than the value "above" will be sous-échantillonnées to the value "to".

It works only on bitmap images. If you placed the vector images big, there is no way to automatically decrease their size.

  • reuse objects incorporated into images in pdf format

    Hello!

I was wondering, if there is a way to reuse objects embedded within a PDF file (such as images)?

So let's say, I have a chart on the first page and I want to use the same graphic on the third page without storing twice in the same PDF file.

If possible, could you also reuse text or textblocks inside a PDF file?

    Thanks for your help!

    Kind regards

    Johannes

You are right in that some forms of XObjects are indeed the vehicle for the re-use of the graphic objects in PDF format. There are several types of XObjects in the PDF specification. Of this number, you should look at the Forms XObjects, Image XObjects and Reference the XObjects, all used for slightly different purposes and different contexts.

Use of XObjects in general is certainly not discouraged. What could be more strongly discouraged is the use of the PostScript XObjects, a way to embed PostScript in the middle of a PDF file. In fact, The PostScript XObjects are explicitly prohibited in the two ISO PDF / X and PDF/A standards. You simply cannot count on any reader or the PDF printer can interpret PostScript. For example, the printers/PIR, equipped with the Adobe PDF Print Engine technology totally ignore the PostScript XObjects.

Use of Forms XObjects, Image XObjects and The. reference XObjects are explicitly part of the new specification ISO PDF/VT (variable and transactional publication) will be published this summer. Printers supporting PDF/VT not only benefit from the size of the PDF file / stream reduction implied by use of XObjects, but also hides the XObjects to significantly improve the performance of RIP (something necessary with the new generation of digital presses to high speed color running at hundreds of pages per minute)!

  • Printing problem in PDF format

I tried a few different 3rd programs to print to PDF, but keep the errors. The goal is to print the .vi façade to a file identified by program. Screenshots fo that errors are attached.

    I tried Bullzip:

    https://decibel.NI.com/content/docs/doc-22555#comment-27786

    And Exaprom:

    https://decibel.NI.com/content/docs/doc-4552

    Error-2147221164

I tried to reinstall the programs, the creators of pdf and the .NET framework, but I'm missing something.

    I use LV 2014 on Windows 8.1.

    Thank you!

    Hi COIEngineer,

I installed and opened the BullPrint example and was able to reproduce the error you receive when I pointed to a file .vi directly, but was able to print successfully when pointed at an image file. Could possibly feel in a jpg file, print this file in pdf format, and then delete the original (if you do not want the original file).

This error is generated when the pdf printer is not sure how to handle printing of the specified file type.

  • Part of the wave in different colors

    Hello world

Hope everyone is doing well. I have a little problem, I detect the valleies and the crests of the waves, I want the portion which is top or Valley to be in a different color so that the user can clearly see them.

I use waveform graph. I enclose a photo, in that I circled the part I want to be a different color.

    can anyone help?

    RGS

    Omar

The answer has been given above.  Here he photo and VI form (version 8.6.1), alternately colored cycles of a sinusoid.

This method has the disadvantage of requiring a full set of data for each color you want to trace.  Alternatively, you can break your waveform in different pieces and ground to them as separate parcels, making sure that you set the timestamps correctly.  To do this, you will need to set the chart so that it uses the timestamps.  Click with the right button on the plot of the graph area and uncheck Ignore Time Stamp.  This will put your x-axis in times of formatting.  Click with the right button on the x axis, and then select formatting....  Choose the desired formatting, and you should be good.
