• Digital art, files of large multi layers and increasing problems with Photoshop - advice please!

  Hi all

  I am a digital artist, who does about 90% of his work in Photoshop. However the gel, crash at launch and at the exit of RAM reviews (even on opening 1 small file) have become more frequent until this week I can't work at all.

  Records of work because they are implemented today:

  (1) 1928.11 GB (external)

  (2) GB 2560.76 (external)

  (3) F 286.17

  (4) 40.49 GB (boot)

  Although a lot of arrangement of these discs have all failed.

  It is not uncommon for me to work on the art that has 40 + layers in a document of 300 dpi (the 750MO PSD file size) 18 x 18 inches. (Even this does not end where JPG size for some of the clothing I hope to do my job). Again, for a year or two I did not seem to have any real problem with the files of this size. Originally, I was with WIN 8.1/Photoshop CS6. But the crash. Gel and off RAM review has progressed to the point that I had to stop and restart everything several times per hour often lose work - always lose time and focus.

  I have a specific computer for design only, so I have other things running while I'm working. My stuff of protection antivirus is up-to-date.

  3 weeks ago, I upgraded to Windows 10 and went ahead (despite having the full Creative Suite CS6 on expensive Disk) and a subscription that I can not afford for Photoshop CC. I want to get some relief from frequent problems. I don't have. The problems have got only worse/more frequent. I can only do one or two little thing in any given job. So, I have to stop or lose my job. This morning, I can not open a 47 MB file and a picture of 24 MB to bring it.

  As a bonus, since the "revaluation" of CC Adobe married now often hold for 10 to 30 seconds when scrolling. This has never been a problem in the past.

  I purge. I rearrange "scratch disks". I keep a historic minimum (4) States... All the things recommended in all of these items online on this seemingly common problem with Photoshop. I want it to work. I am not a technophile and feel like I have to return to college for a degree computer SCIENCE or art my work/income - in total. I am also very aware, it can just some obvious problem my artsy, non-tech brain does not see, so hopefully someone here can help you.

  Example: showing why so many layers are needed. Often much needed individual 'twisted' once again towards the end of the design work, so cant more be combined while I add them in.

  In clear simple any help would be greatly appreciated - single to the top of the preferences for the way I work in...

  Windows 10 - 32 bits, and that is the problem.

  A 32-bit operating system can use 3.76 GB of ram no matter how much you have, simple math - 2 ^ 32 = 4,294,967,296 bytes 4294967296 / (1 024 x 1 024) = 4 096 MB = 4 GB

  Solution to your problem - reinstall 10 64-bit Windows.

• Flash? Help! iPad Pro!

  I have recently buy an iPad Pro to try my hand at digital art and to my dismay, Society6.com is the only site that I can't watch it on the iPad. All other art sites I visit work very well on the iPad Pro.

  Is it because Society6.com is built in flash and the iPad does not support flash?

  There is no version of Flash Player for mobile devices. More and more sites are now away Flash and using HTML5.

• HP Deskjet 3632: Specifications on paper Photo Compatible for Deskjet 3632

  I am in digital art and wanted to do something special for my grummum using Photoshop. I want to buy the photo paper to print my work and mentor for her.

  This is the first time I buy photo paper for my Deskjet 3632. Money is tight at the moment and I would like to look at the prices for other brands of photo outside the HP brand paper. The problem is, I don't know what to look for.

  QUESTIONS RELATING TO THE:

  1. what weight of the paper on photo paper is compatible with my printer?

  2. do I need to get some finished paper as not bright, shiny, glossy, soft bright or are they all compatible?

  3. in addition, what is the largest size of paper, I can print on my printer?

  My apologies for the confusion.

  The section in the specification which provides the weight of the paper is paper tray capacity.

  64 to 90 g/m2 (16 to 24 pounds bond paper) up to 60 sheets of plain paper in the paper
  Envelopes 75 to 90 g/m2 (20 to 24 lb bond envelope) up to 5 envelopes
  Up to 200 g/m2 (110 lb index maximum) up to 20 cards cards
  Up to 280 g/m2 (75 lb bond) up to 20 sheets of photo paper

  Your printing preferences is the source for that glossy surfaces - or not - are appropriate for your printer.  The User Guide provides the recommended list of HP papers.

  Using Windows 7 Professional - Assus computer / monitor and AOC monitor:

  I have successfully connected two monitors to my computer and read what little I could find on how to use them--but not nearly enough to successfully use both monitors most of the day.  Nothing, for example, by using a monitor for digital art on a single computer and at the same time, using the secondary monitor looking for information on the internet.

  Is there any where/place/documents /, etc. to read on how to use 2 monitors?

  PLEASE HELP: I am currently teaching photography, graphic design and video of class in high school. I have 20 new iMacs in my class. We have all of the Adobe Suite. Life is good! Our school offers each student an iPad. NEXT YEAR, they are trying to eliminate as much as possible computer laboratories, and my computers are included in the list "hit." They are all teachers laptops carrying... and that gives us all the benefits of iPad... and they want to see if I can teach filmhy & graphics on the iPad (not pro, just regular). It's devastating, but if it had to happen... is there some Adobe software full access modes remotely using an iPad (as if there was a 'main' computer which has consulted with children)? - or is it an approach that would make this work with any computer class / just iPads? In Photographyt, students do most photo shoot assignments outside school hours... at school that we publish with lightroom and photoshop. In graphic design, we use highly photoshop & illustrator, and in classes of video, we use some photoshop, After Effects and first. I want to stay with Adobe and maintain the integrity of the Digital Art at my school program.  IDEAS? I need to build a VERY good deal to keep the iMac!

  I am a student that had a digital video production class this fall for my Digital Arts (graphics and Animation) major. The issue raised in this case, it's what I have to ensure the best audio possible results for my classroom work and portfolio. I don't know that I buy a pair of high-quality headphones. A major candidate is the Audio-Technica ath - Mx 50

  My questions come from either Realtek ALC892 of my motherboard just for quality video production with Adobe first Pro CC 2015 and hearing among others. Even if it is enough, it seems to be other benefits of a dedicated card for other uses outside this class one, as for the games. My concern is of diminishing for the money. There is so much confusion that the sound cards are now worth. Some say yes, then that others (including some on this forum) are skeptical. Instructor at my school that teaches audio production seems to think that a dedicated card might be a good idea. It's however opinion of a person.

  As a warning, the lion share of the work will be done on the school's computers. My concern is any work done away from the school on my own machine. If was to get a dedicated card, the best choices are the Asus Essence STX II and the Creative Sound Blaster ASHLEY. My PC runs the suite Adobe Creative complete Cloud and Windows 10 Pro.

  you want to find the equipment that is described under the name specific or neutral. which means that the equipment (speakers, headphones, sound card) is not changing the audio source. There are several websites which gear reviews, some use same eq graphic showing how the original sound is changing. most of the speakers and headphones will change the audio to varying degrees, even if it means trying to be precise that its almost impossible for speakers to reproduce the original signal perfectly. several headphones and speakers are designed only for the listeners of averages, so they will voluntarily change the sound or EQ profile. the m50 AT are very popular, but also very well known as a heavy bass. they are also the headphones closed, which is good for keeping the sound of annoying others around you, but open-back headphones is generally preferred for mixing.

  Initially, you should be fine with a good pair of headphones and use the integrated realtek audio system. If you want to get the best results, you can search an audio dac interface or the helmet. using an audio external USB / card its interface/dac keeps electronic interference from the computer to a minimum. several regular consumer cards sound or a helmet audio dac is altered as well, in an attempt to sound "better", making them more accurate.

  you want to go out like asus, creative, beats consumer products and search for audio brands pro like Sennheiser, AKG, Audio Technica, and Sony, to name a few. most of the audio brands pro are consumer gear too, if it's not as simple as choosing a certain brand. for audio interfaces, Focusrite Scarlett models are popular, there is also a presonus, m-audio and more. small portable headphones dac is more popular, but its rare to find any big name pro audio attached to them. However, some are seen as accurate/neutral. your school, they might already have an audio interface connected to your computer to use with your helmet, or you could ask if its OK to take a listener dac or external audio interface.

  I know this might be a biased forum for ask (including my own tendency to want to teach that reflect best practices in the industry), but how are teachers able to justify increased the cost of the use of Adobe products in schools? Unless we can find a reasonable annual cost to continue offering the equivalent of what we now have (CS6 Master Collection, 500-seat license) our school cannot continue using Adobe products.

• Why should I subscribe?

  I've always used Photoshop Elements for my digital art and design, but because my University uses Photoshop CC, which has a few features that I don't have on the elements, I decided to upgrade to CC as well to be able to work on my projects at home. I'm online, however, and I came to know that I can buy a subscription to CC, rather than make a single payment and have the Photoshop application (which is the only app I need at the moment) only time permanently. I looked at a few comments, and it seems that I'm not the only one who is quite upset about this. It seems that Adobe only cares about the rich in this situation, so that students like me (a major graphics in a school that uses Photoshop mainly) either fuck themselves of their money for the semester, either they are GROUND. I work only in the summer, it's the only time wherever I might be able to pay the annual subscription. But even in this case, I'm working a job part time minimum wage. I have to use to pay a week full of just to afford. However, I don't see why I should subscribe to all. Seems pretty greedy company for forcing people to constantly spend money just to work on a design project. What the hell, Adobe?
