  Duplicate the file system tree that you have on your old computer to your new computer. Use your home network to access your old computer to your new computer drive and just copy the files required for your new computer and disks that are the same driver on the new machine you letter.

  Just bought HP M6/1125DX/15j with Windows 8. My current HP printer is a HP Photosmart C6380 All In One.  The printer does not work, but the photo and analysis part icons no longer appear which were on my front desk. I tried to download the entire program which said would update my printer, but after 6 tries to one hour each, at the end he just said my download has been cancelled. Is there a chance that my printer will be supported by Windows 8 and how do I do that if I can't download.  Or am I stuck buying a new printer? Thank you

  The C6380 is supported in Windows 8 and has a Solution Full Download.  I would try using the Print Wizard to download and install the drivers.

  You can try this:

  Creating a TCP IP port

  1. Print a Configuration Page to get the printer IPv4 address (you can also tap on the icon wireless on the front panel of your printer to obtain the IP address)
  2. On your PC, go to control panel configuration, devices and printers, right-click the printer and on the left, click printer properties, select the Ports tab.
  3. Click Add Port, select the Port TCP/IP Standard, then New Port and follow the instructions in the wizard.
  4. Type the IP address for the printer.

  Note that you can ALWAYS go back to the original port the HP software installed by selecting the HP port on the Ports tab (in the properties of the printer)

  You need more software. Hardware MUST support this otherwise they will be useless because of blurred... The 7520 has no support for transparency.

  No, it is not possible to scan negatives with this product.  However, the product range Scanjet offer scanners that will scan negatives such as the Scanjet G4010 and G4050.

  No it's not, you need a unit with a scanner that is capable of scanning media transparant. In other words, that there an extra light in the cover. Last HP printer that had this feature was the c8180. Not sure about the only units of scanners. I do now there are special scanners out there just for that and they are not expensive.

  • How is the printer connected, wireless, Ethernet or USB?

  • What is the operating system you use, Windows or Mac? What version?

• Photosmart HP 7520: Cannot scan to printer

  I was able to scan up to today.  Try to scan to the computer and not give me the option for the photo or document.  He gave me the option once it has scanned the PC, and I had chose PDF and it only would give me the JPG.  It scanned the Microsoft Scan program and fax, which I had never used it before.  My scans before went into the My Documents folder, which I prefer.  I can scan OK on a flash drive.  When I try the computer now, it says "without a computer.

  I have seen that you are facing some problems of scanning when scanning your Photosmart 7520, your system Windows 10 and I hope to help.

  Lets first make sure you have full functionality drivers and software installed on your computer by running the HP printer install wizard for Windows, which will be to find and install your printer software for you. Just follow the instructions until it is installed.

  As you mentioned that you have the HP Scan Pro application, the software is not intended for OS X 10.6.

  Make sure you completely remove the software as follows:

  * Please note that the following steps will delete all HP software installed.

  1. click on menu go (click the desktop, then watch the menu in the bar at the top of the page)
  2. Select Applications
  3 select the Hewlett-Packard folder
  4. double-click on uninstall HP application
  5 follow the uninstall to prompt to select a device to uninstall
  6. press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Cmd keys on the keyboard at the same time as you click on uninstall
  7 approve any prompt to uninstall all HP software.

  Next. Download and install Snow Leopard software below:

  After completing the installation. Make sure to restart the Mac and install the updated HP by ringing the Apple icon and the software update.
