  I am very new to vmware stuff, but have heard things about it and wanted to give it a shot.  I have ESXi 3.5u3 upward and running on one heart, single processor server (AMD Opteron 64 1.8 GHz).  I have currently two vm is configured (the two 32-bit ent server2k3).  The first of the two works quite well.  I have problems with each other.

  The only weird thing I noticed was that the first server (guest) shows 1 GB/s NETWORK card installed.  The card settings are set to auto.  The second comment server shows 10 MB/s NIC, and it wont let me change it in the settings of the card.  The host machine has two NIC but alone is currently connected, and it runs at 100 full duplex.  Is this normal?

  I also found an info that the BD - RE DL (write speed 2 x max) drives are compatible.
  But I think you may have problems using the disk from different manufacturers.

  I've got ThinkPad T520 and I really like it, but there is no question that makes me worried about the security of the data. There is a moment when the hard drive becomes hang for about a minute.   (b) there are some services in Windows 7 that allows to hang so long (my Windows directory is about 17 GB! He was already fat after the installation, I'm the second user of this computer, I bought it a month ago, still 2 years of guarantee).

  The hard drive is C300-MTFDBAK128MAG (SSD). You have a similar experience with this computer / hard disk?

  I called support in Poland call center today and they suggested to:

  (1) execute and test Windows 7 mode 'diagnostic' (msconfig) OR

  (2) the hard drive firmware update OR

  (3) send the computer to service center

  Obviously I don't want to waste time, because I use this computer for work. Do you know what could be the problem and what to do better to fix?

  I have a laptop running windows vista Home premium. the problem is when I insert a blank disc dvd - r, there will be a pop-up window indicating that I need to insert a disc. • A little confused about ESXi 5 startup problem

  Hey there everyone - I read the forums and other documents online for a few days, but I'm not sure if there is a work around for this particular problem.

  I AM running the free version of ESXi 5 (with the license key installed on the host to remove the limit of 60 days), on my own system here at home and it works fine, but the autostart feature does not work for the specified virtual machines.  Problem is that I downloaded the image to install for a few days, so I don't know if I have the latest version or if I can still the 'dismantling' to version 5 who takes support this feature.

  I have pfsense installed on the host computer, and without this startup system, if ESXi restarts or loses power and returns to the top, it does not automatically start pfsense and I lose all access to the House.  I thought I had done enough research and thought I'd be OK to install ESXi 5, but obviously, I missed something.

  If I click on help > on VMWare in my vSphere client, the Client's version 5.0.0 (Build 623373) and VMware ESXi is Version 5.0.0 with a building of 623860.

• ESXi 5 installation problem

• Network with ESXi 4 VM problem
