DIMS SCREEN ON TOSHIBA A60

IF I PLUG A VODAPHONE MOBILE CONNECT THE CARD TO THE PC SLOT CARD THEN BOOT UPWARD, AFTER A FEW SECONDS THE SCREEN DIMS. IF I HAVE A CONNECTED EXTERNAL MONITOR, I CAN VIEW THE BOOT UP ON THIS SCREEN, WHICH NORMALLY TAKES PLACE. I CAN THEN GO AND USE THE MAP OF CONNECTION WITHOUT PROBLEM, BUT THE REMAINS OF DIM LAPTOP SCREEN ALL THE TIME. IF I ALLOW HIM TO GO HIBERNATE MODE AND THEN RESUME, THE SCREEN LIGHTS UP NORMALLY BUT THEN IS FADING. WITHOUT THE CARD IS THE DISPLAY TO THE NORMAL LOGIN SCREEN. I TRIED MODES OF POWER/BATTERY,
USING KEYS F7 UNSUCCESSFULLY ETC. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Hi Peter,.

It is not easy to explain what is the problem, but it will be very interesting to know is it the same problem using peripheral with another PCMCIA slot external.

  • Keeps restarting to the opening screen of Toshiba Satellite L300

My satellite L300 starts with the Toshiba screen and keeps leaving regularly until I see the blue panel of Windows saying please wait... After that the screen goes black, and it shows the opening screen of Toshiba. I tried to go into the system by pressing F2 or F12 but I'm a technical noob and it's way to complicated for me.

According to my sister she has something to do with a faulty download and I need to insert some kind of code in one of the systems (F2 or F12).

Anyone who is familiar with this problem and maybe someone can explain to me how do I solve this problem?

    Thank you!

To start the laptop in safe mode, try to please.
When you turn it on, press F8 to display the advanced startup options. You will find the option of safe mode.

Wait for windows to load. I hope that you will be able to do.

What you can try then is to roll back OS to an earlier time using System Restore option.

    Please test and send feedback.

  • How to order screen for Toshiba Satellite M50-A-110

Display on my M50A110 has been broken, and I want to order a new. How can I order this part?

  • NetBook NB100: Black screen after Toshiba leading innovation

It occurs something strange with my N-100 Netbook.

It has always worked perfectly, but today, when I try to initiate, it appears on-screen typical 'Innovation leader Toshiba', but then the screen goes black, and do not appear "windows". I hear a sort of high-pitched noise inside your computer.

I'm not exactly good computers and I tried pressing F2 and look at the different options, but none of them was not like the solution, and I'm afraid I can ruin my computer (I mean, even more) with my computer ignorance.

Did someone knows what can happen? I'm completely hopeless!

now fix this = solve my life XD
    Thank you very much!
    Gracies!

    Hello

Are you able to press F8 while the laptop is turned on?
To do this and check if you can choose the option repair my computer, then the HARD drive recovery.

You should also check the BIOS.
Immediately after pressing the power button, press F2. This allows you to access the BIOS. You can then check if the HARD drive is recognized.

Sorry mate but it of difficult to say what's wrong here

  • Portege Z830 - stuck on the start screen for Toshiba with fan

I just inherited a very nice z830 Toshiba Portege 10 p. Gradually I was put to use. During this process, I had sometimes trouble with it not to restart and do not get out of hibernation/standby.

He is now in a State where when you turn it on the Toshiba logo appears on the display and the fan goes into overdrive, sounding as if it was about to take off.

I can't boot into the BIOS Setup screen. Although I've already been there and even updated the BIOS.

I got out to check loose connections, dirt and dust and everything seems ok.

What are my next steps or can I only it write?

Research on the Web from Toshiba website it would appear that it is still under warranty:-see below. I wonder if it's bad now.

It is interesting to note that some of the external ports are showing some sign or corrosion if the card mother/battery and other internal parts all seem to be intact.

All thoughts and comments are welcome.

    Thank you.

    Hello
I guess that the guarantee is valid more because you have already disassembled the laptop for cleaning...

Regarding the laptop startup problem: to me, it seems that the issue could be related to the hardware malfunction... If you are not able to access the BIOS and if the laptop freezes all showing the Toshiba logo, then the problem might be related to problems of motherboard...

It seems that the (power self-test) POST cannot be passed correctly and usually this can be caused by the mother (or parts like RAM) dysfunction.

  • Blue screen on Equium A60-155 - "Driver IRQ not less or equal" stop 0 x 0

I have a model Equium A60-155 no psa67e-00300c8j and I got two years ago. She has always had a problem of crash with "IRQ_Not_less_or_equal. I did all the memory reinstall new habit, and updated the BIOS etc.

In desperation, erased from the hard drive with a windows 2000 and reinstalled the recovery disk and it worked for about a month. When I updated the Explorer and Norton it crashed again. (updates are always a precursor) The laptop and an Explorer to work properly in safe mode. I removed all Norton a PROG from Symantec, but it remains the creases, but it's now a constant error. "Driver_IRQ_not_less_or_equal" with tech info * stop 0 x 00000004, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x00000D1, 0XF7A6A6C6.

This is almost certainly a driver of windows operating system problem, it happens with any XP disk.

  • USB Bootable for Toshiba A60?

    Hello
    I use a laptop Toshiba Satellite A60 - 743, 1.40 (7.1.2004) BIOS that does not support USB booting :-(
BIOS 1.80 will be able to do this? Does anyone know?
    Thank you March

    Hi March,.

What support you want to start? CD or floppy disk?

When you turn on the laptop and immediately ESCAPE then you could be the BIOS. There you can change the boot priority.

Alternatively, you can press 'C' to CD-ROM, 'H' for HARD drive or some computers laptops as 'U' for the start of the USB device immediately after turn on the laptop.

Another suggestion is to use a boot disk (if you have a USB floppy) and boot from the CD Rom (BACK of CD should be available on the disc.)

  • The Toshiba A60 USB 2.0 controller host, can anyone help?

    Hello world

I have recentry purchased a new Toshiba Satellite A60 notebook. Of course, instantly I formatted and installed XP Pro, because I didn't need half of the programs that the laptop is installed with.

Problem is now that everything what they gave me was a recovery disk (DVD). I found the ATI and RealTek drivers without problems out of the Toshiba Download Center, but I can't find drivers for USB 2.0 (Host Controller). The USB key will really really slow now. I tried just using a generic host controller, but it goes 10 times slower then if I do not have any controller in there lol.

IM thinking maybe I can get Norton Ghost and try to view the files that Toshiba used in their recovery disk.

I am always amazed why they have not given me a driver CD, first time this has happened to me.

Any Suggestions? Maybe someone knows where I can get the host controller, this suits the A60?

    Thanks in advance!

    HI Ozzie,

Did you not receive the CD of tools & utilities Toshiba and more recovery disks?

If it is not then maybe could you re - install your system from the recovery discs (get all the correct drivers) and then remove the unwanted software later. This would ensure that you get all the ccompatible drivers for your system

    Kind regards

  • Screen on Toshiba Thrive problems

I have a Toshiba Thrive tablet, which is about 3 weeks old and yesterday when the device was put the screen was showing a lot of green pixels. At the launch of what it to be like Google or docs to go the screen is pink.

I did a factory reset and the unit always shows the same colors of the screen.

The unit was purchased in the United States.

Your question is probably: what can I do about it, right?
Problem is that you have US unit and here in Europe it is not covered by the warranty of the EMEA.

Is there a possibility to return?

    Hello

Do you have a floppy drive?

If you two options. If you have a floppy drive, you can create boot disks and then start in the recovery console to perform a manual system restore.

The other option is to attach an external drive and perform a repair of XP installation using a XP install disc.

Method 1: create the bootable floppy.

Create bootable diskettes, can be found the article mentioned below:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310994

Once you are able to start the computer by using the Setup disk, go to the recovery console and run a manual system restore to restore the computer to an earlier point in time.
