Toshiba A60 starts not (black screen, no BIOS, no HARD disk)

Please help me, there is no toshiba dealer in my country and my laptop has not started; I don't know what to do.

Hi, Naj,

You simply turn on one day and it did not? Not even (In Touch With tomorrow + Intel Inside) Welcome screen appear? What indicators (battery, HARD/CD/DVD disc, power) and the light around the button? I'm curious because you did not say much.

    So this morning after having attempted to power my Toshiba Satellite C660/C660D upward I met up with a black screen.

    The power lights both work and light, fans the vortex when I turn on but nothing ever comes on the screen, I was wondering if someone could help here?

    It is less than 3 months.

    To be honest I really don t know how to help you.
    Remove the battery, leave the laptop for a while and try to start the laptop with AC power only. Try to do several times with or without battery. If nothing is done it must be a hardware problem, so I recommend you contact Toshiba service and ask for help.

    Guarantee is valid, then there is no reason to worry about this.

  • Server will start not (black screen) because the disc needs consolidation

    Hello

    I have a vsphere esxi Server 5 with 2 virtual machines. SBS 2011 and vcenter. The server started to be very slow, so that all users could not work. So I closed the two vm and restarted the esxi. The vcenter is in place, but for my sbs 2011, I have a black screen. There is a message saying 'consolidation of disks of virtual machines is necessary. " In the Snapshot Manager, there is none but I don't see where there are large files that are instant, so I have to consolidate.

    Because the server was very slow, I have no recent backup. My questions are;

    -The sbs 2011 has been the start for an hour now, it is consolidating?

    -Should I force a shutdown of the virtual machine and do a consolidation?

    I see no error messages in the vsphere client. There seems to be some ongoing writing, so I don't know if I should stop the virtual machine or not.

    Thank you

    Hey,.

    Because the server was very slow, I have no recent backup. My questions are;

    -The sbs 2011 has been the start for an hour now, it is consolidating?

    -Should I force a shutdown of the virtual machine and do a consolidation?

    The answer to the first question is no. The snapshot consolidation happen automatically after a reboot. If there is a lot of shots, the virtual machine may take a lot of time in power.

    My suggestion would be to leave the virtual machine until it either boots or dies and then do a consolidation

    If it does not, next course of action would be to group manually, but for this, it is advisable to first backup the contents of the VM folder, as any mishap with the snapshot files can potentially lead to dataloss.

  • Qosmio F50-125 starts with black screen after a BIOS update

    Hello

    After instalation if new bios (v 2.0), computer sometimes starts with black screen.
    Even the first page that show press F2 to enter the bios is not displayed.

    You have someone older version of bios?
    So, I might try if it's the fault of it.

    Hello

    I think that the old BIOS will not help you because the laptop would have known that you try to update the BIOS to the older version, and it would break to the top of the procedure.
    In addition, the older BIOS is not available on the European driver Toshiba page.
    I think just only a Toshiba ASP had an older version of BIOS.

    Anyway, you said that sometimes happens.
    This means that this issue doesn't still persist
    Hmm. in this case, I recommend the default BIOS settings and update the driver display.

    Check it out!

  • A80 - 154 does not start - only black screen with strange resolution

    Hello!

    I have a big problem with the laptop. When I start it the power led and battery LED or power plug LED is blue (depending on what energy source is used, the problem appears both!). It's normal. But you don't see anything on the LCD screen. And nothing happens. Are lit, display is not black, no sound of the HARD drive or the fan. When I connected my external 17 '' TFT, he says that there is a signal, but the screen remained black.

    The signal has a resolution of 720 x 400 70 Hz, which is a very exotic resolution and a strange frequency! Anyone has any idea what it could be? I connected no matter what USB or other device. Only the laptop with or without the battery.

    Hello

    Well, it's not easy to say what may be the problem. I think it s a hardware malfunction, but I don t know which part might have a failure. Maybe it's something wrong with a CPU or memory modules s.
    In this case, I recommend to contact the service partner. He can do some tests.

  • Vista will not start! Black screen, no mouse, no cursor pointer. Startup Repair cannot repair. Details say 'wrong pass '. What is the correct syntax for pkgmgr to uninstall?

    Vista will not start!  Black screen, no mouse, no cursor pointer.  Startup Repair cannot repair.  Details say 'wrong pass '.  It looks like all the files are well intact on the disk.

    What is the correct for pkgmgr syntax when you try to uninstall an update by using a command prompt when starting Vista OS disk?  I entered the following in the "x:\Sources >" prompt:

    start /w pkgmgr/o: "C:\; /Up:Package_1_for_KB2840149~31bf3856ad364e35~x86~~6.0.1.0 C:\Windows.

    When I run this command it ends quickly and when I run 'echo %errorlevel%' I get '5', which seems to mean 'access denied'.  How am I supposed to have access to remove the patch?  Am I missing something?  Perhaps a switch in the syntax to access?  Help, please.  Thank you.

    I tried both options that you recommended.  As initially stated, no boot option would produce something other than the black screen.  I tried to boot from a drive and restoring the system running, but she didn't, and when I tried to do it again the recovery console could not find restore points. ?.

    An update, the computer is now fixed.  Oddly enough, I ran recovery of starting a drive at least 8 times and each time I checked the details and he said: he ran chkdsk without error and return to the same cause "a patch is preventing windows to start.  I even ran chkdsk c: /f from a prompt command from the recovery disk and it found no errors.  That's when I posted the question above after trying to remove the patch in the manner described above.  After some time and frustration, I decided to run chkdsk /r c:.  It took awhile, but it found 1 bad sector, moved the data, the bad sector tag and finished.  Once I restarted from that, everything came and went very well.

    So, the original question remains, what was missing in the command to run pkgmgr/high: successfully.  And the new question exists as to why start Recovery claims run chkdsk if it does not, or he turns the version/f not the version/r the same as I did manually?  It would be good to know for the future.  Thank you!

  • Satellite A200 - 1 M 4 do not start and black screen

    I really hope that someone can help you.
    After 15 months my Toshiba A200 seems to have given up the ghost.

    I tried to put it on today and although the blue LED on hold came and the orange clear hard disk there was no other sign of life.
    I tried and tried, but it just wouldn't start and the screen did nothing but remains black.
    I tried to take the battery for more than 30 minutes, pressing F4 - but nothing.
    I have no memory material inserted or additional cards as a webcam. Everything worked fine until now.

    I'm not very technical so you know how to help, then please explain as simply as possible.

    I really appreciate any help you may be able to offer!

    > I tried to take the battery for more than 30 minutes, pressing F4 - but nothing.
    Why try to press F4?
    However, remove the battery, disconnect the AC adapter, wait up to an hour and then reconnect the battery and the AC adapter.

    If the laptop doesn t boot I think that the motherboard must be replaced. Ask your local ASP for help. They can order and swap the motherboard.

  • Re: Satellite A100-011 does not start, a black screen at the beginning

    I have a Toshiba Satellite A100-011, which is almost 5-6 years. It suddenly started to behave abnormal.

    First of all, I started to get a 1-2 sec black screen when he was running. The screen was on and off occasionally.

    After a few days, I could not started upward from my windows xp sp3 operating system. I tried to start in safe mode with networking to see if I had a few spy, virus or something. I ran avast, hijact, ad-aware and some more, but not found anything.

    Later, I tried to format my laptop with a xp professional, but this time I can't see any reflection that passes more fun running and a black screen. I just got a black screen at the beginning and it does not start.

    I plugged on a television screen, and here I have started. I have re-installed all the drivers and formatted, but all I get is a black screen on my laptop at the beginning.

    What should I do now? Do you think I have a problem with my screen of HW or a driver problem with nvidia geforce go 7600? Maybe I'm missing something?

    Thanks in advance for all replies.

    If you can see the picture on the TV there are a few s laptop display problem. Y at - it some problem connection or display itself.

    You want to fix it yourself? You can disassemble the laptop?
    I mean if you have any experience with this kind of things that you should seek professional help.

  • Could not start - receive black screen

    Im having problems with my windows vista, I can't seem to start, I did close downs, restarts, and now I can't get it to work in safe mode. I don't know what to do, not the PC very warned.

    original title: when you start the pc, windows never starts, so I have a black screen, will only work in safe mode

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/
    ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
  • Windows starts, but does not charge not (black screen with cursor)
    [Sorry for the long post, but I feel the need to explain my situation]
    I have the following problem:
    I turn on my PC, and Windows shows it is normal loading screen, then it goes in a completely black screen, with just the mouse in the middle. By the size of the cursor, I can say that it is in a low resolution, probably 800 x 600 (compared to my usual 1920 x 1080). I am able to movements of the mouse, but with no particular purpose without something to click on. No other keyboard input seems to work, except for press SHIFT 5 times, which shows the keys dialog box to self-retaining (with just 'yes' or 'No' options, no other connection); and Windows key + U, which shows the ease of access Center. CTR + Alt + Del does NOT work.
    So far, that's what I tried (in chronological order):
    1. Start in Safe Mode, Safe Mode with network, safe mode with command prompt Mode, start low resolution video, last known good configuration: all give the same result as to start normally.
    2. Repair of your computer:
      1. Startup Repair: find the registry errors (I realized and fixed this more later on)
      2. System Restore: did not find any previous restore points (I know with certainty that there is, I took the habit of making regular restore points).
      3. Windows memory diagnostic: not found error.
      4. Command prompt:
        1. Ran the command chkdsk /f r, has no error report.
        2. Ran sfc/scannow: I don't remember the exact report, but he asked to restart the computer to complete the repair of the problems. I rebooted and ran the new order for the same result.
        3. Forced the scan with: sfc/scannow damaged = c: \ /offwindir = c:\windows, concluded and repair errors, not always not load windows.
    3. Ran Dell Diagnostics start, found no errors.
    4. Startup Repair ran found once again the registry errors. I found the solution to this in a forum for Microsoft Help ( answers.microsoft.com/.../f77d5355-b8be-41d6-af24-cae994e1768f ) and fixed the problem. I rebooted, but the problem persists.
    5. Startup Repair does not detect now no error. I tried restoring the system again, we find 2 restore points dated AFTER the beginning of my problem. I decided to restore it in any case, but none of them worked.
    6. I ran Windows Defender in offline mode:
      1. Quick scan: and found 2 threats and remove.
      2. Full system scan: found 4 more threats, removed 2 of them, the other two could not be removed because they were in an ISO file.
    7. I've tried steps 1, 2 and 3 with no luck.
    With every step, I am aware that I am closer to having to reinstall Windows, then I decided to see if I could still access my HD to save my personal files. I did a live Linux CD (with Ubuntu), but I have a problem of mounting the readers, because they are in a RAID0 configuration. "sudo dmraid s" gives the following error: "ERROR: Sie: number of devices in RAID wrong value"isw_dbdffjficc_ARRAY0"[1/2] on/dev/sdb.
    Important details:
    I changed my graphics about 4 months ago (a 750ti of Nvidia GTX for an ATI Radeon HD 6450), and told me that I can run short with the power supply. The new card requires a minimum of 450W, and I think that my diet is 460W. This may or may not have something to do with this question, I have no idea.
    My 2 hard drives of 500 GB RAID0 configuration has brought me a lot of problems of the day 1. One of the HARD drive would be randomly (I am able to hear a clicking sound different when this happens) failure and the computer would break. At the start, he would ask a boot device. The Dell boot utility would then recognize only 1 readers, but would end without errors. After a reboot or two, everything would be fine and would be boot windows normally (apart from the usual error recovery screen) with no sign of corrupted data or anything. As I said, it happened are the arrival of my PC, but restarting a couple of times still attached. From now on, the two HD seems to work very well, the Dell utility recognizes two of them and found no errors in one of them, and I can access any directory from the command prompt.
    Is there anything else I should try before reinstalling Windows?
    Before the installation, I really wish I could recover my files (I have important documents of the College), is it possible to do this?
    Sorry again for the very long post (and for any errors of language, English is not my native language) and thanks in advance.
    Since you have not yet had your data readers. I recommend a Windows installation without formatting the drive... I don't like this solution, but at this point, you have probably tried everything.
    Use a reinstallation of Windows 7 installation DVD, make sure that you select...
    Select custom: Install Windows only (Advanced)
    If you do not select one of the route options and everything simply highlight the largest partition and click Next:
    Windows will dump all the old Setup files into the Windows.old folder
At first, it worked for 2 - 3 times, but after 5-6 hours when I turned it on, it does not. I don't think that this is a display problem because windows key + B produces no beep. CPU fan works fine.
