  I've been using direct e-mail for a couple of years on my MacBook/iPad/iPhone/PC without any problem.  Earlier this week the MacBook began asking me a password.  After many failed attempts, I deleted the email from my Mac to reconfigure, but get the same result.  It does not seem to recognize my password. The strange thing is I can sign the browser of safari on the Mac as expected so I know I have the correct password and he also continues to work on my iPad/iPhone and outlook on my PC but not on the MacBook...

  any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

  I answered my own question...  I have 2factor allowed to eventually get a new password app...

  They are not deleted.  While in the Inbox: see tab | Message Filter button. Check to show all Messages, not Hide the Read Messages.

  Try this:
  The following procedure will rewrite the default protocol

  You could use an email obfuscator to hide the addresses of the bots.

  But the most reliable way for people to contact you via a contact form that uses a form to e-mail script with built in anti-spam protection treatment.  Some server hosts offer scripts that you can use.  If not and your server supports PHP, I highly recommend one of the masters of the DB.
