  The message about passwords is a red herring.

  It may be a connection to a POP3 mailbox at a time box.   The contacts and calendar are associated with the Live ID used to sign in with. When you view your Inbox, press Ctrl-Shift-O for Options. On the connection tab, click on stop signing in. Now, check the contacts and calendar.
