BlackBerry Smartphones Spam Driving me Nuts!

I did everything what I found or which as suggested.  However, my device message box is full every day. I even made "unsubscribe" think on tons of sites. I reset to high on the PC.   No matter what?

That has me thinking: when I was sitting the 8310 I obviously set up my main email.  I also have a Blackberyy.Net email account.  Do I still need this?  I myself remember well it was suggested in the installation program.  Spam comes through BB?  I always have full access to sms, etc. If I remove the email from BB?

I am looking for

Good as far as why bring you on the bb but is hot on the PC, because you have not configured the option in the account of readruner leave a copy of message on the server. This means that if your PC is in sleep mode, and that your BB is enabled, the BB will get the message and the Roarunner server then removes the message from the server. When you turn on your PC, the messages are not on the server, if you do not get them there. If you want to you emails on the PC as well as the BB go for roadruner e-mail account and find the option t leave messages on the server.

With regard to the problem of spam. Set up a new Roaddrunner account, you can never get rid of the spam as it is now associated with the account. You will be able to import your contacts on between accounts and all your old emails. Roadrunner will also send an email to your list of contacts, telling them of your new email address and held the old account open and reach you anyone using the old address. I think it's the best way to stop spam on your account.

The message queue is configured to get all messages. Those you see in the Roadrunner email icon is the same as those in your queue of messages, is easier to use the queue of messages. Can you read and delete from there,

emails are deleted from the icon as well. And once you reduce the spam you will have less traffic to deal with.

Please let me know your thoughts!

Thank you

P. S. One last point, you may know that, so I apologize if you do. Set up a Gmail account, yahoo account when I need give an email address on a site (Amazon for example) then the spam is sent to her and not to your main account. Don't use your roadrunner account when dealing with contact and trusted sites.

    Hello

I am a user "BOLD" and on Vodafone

I have a server that does not have a spam filter and also to block additional spam in my email on my PC

    BUT

MY blackberry receives inoridiante spam - I understand that my PC filter won't help, but is it possible that I can train the e-mails entering my phone so that it is cut or registered as spam?

the only thing I have manged to do is create a spam folder to submit the receipt to the post, but it's not wehat I want I want to reduce the volume of spam in rreceived

    Hello

What you need to do is to talk to your e-mail service provider. If they can introduce a SPAM filter that blocks the issue happens on the Inbox server, it can be kept of the BB. But if their filter works after the items arrive in the Inbox, there's a strong chance that the item will be pushed to your BB before the filter based on the server it moves.

The only thing you can do on your BB is doing filters of the Institute:

    • KB28151 How to add a filter from the BlackBerry smartphone to a BlackBerry Internet Service account

You have to do it totally manually, find out for yourself what can be used as filter triggers. If, for example, your service e-mail up [SPAM] or another label in the subject but line leave items in your Inbox, you can use it as your trigger to prevent these elements come to the BB (on condition, of course, that the label is applied to the subject line until the element never gets to the Inbox server).

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Spam/spam blocking

My emails are synchronized between my PC and my Bold 9900 to the usual, but I can't stop messages that are automatically put in my Junk folder / (so invisible) to be transferred to my smartphone. If I go into management/e-mail inbox accounts and uncheck the box my e-mail account I do not receive emails at all.  What can I do to solve the problem, please?

John_Clark means that the Inbox on the server. In fact, he wrote exactly that.

If spam is in the Inbox on the server when BIS checks, it will push your BlackBerry just like any other message if a filter anti-spam on the server redirects the spam directly in a junk folder or spam is deleted from the Inbox before BIS sees it, then it won't be pushed to your device.

Your email provider probably provides spam filtering. Access you and activate it by logging into your email provider online using a Web browser. That's what you need to do.

Spam, filtering by your computer email client has no effect on your BlackBerry as well as the interactions between your BlackBerry and BIS and between BIS and your mail servers.

    * There is no data published on spam filtering by BIS. I suspect that he is a. I received for the most part never spam, but sometimes I do it for a little while, and then it would stop.

  • Phone of blackBerry Smartphones is driving me crazy...

It's my 3rd 8330 in the last 15 months. A couple of months he has splashed coffee on the keyboard, making the unnecessary buttons. I could scroll through and the phone would be round but I couldn't respond. After a week of drying and cleaning the contacts of keyboard inside the phone is back to life. Now 2 months later out of the blue, I have the same symptoms. I took apart and cleaned it again and it worked again, but the headphone jack doesn't work anymore. Then a few hours later all buttons stopped working again. Tried wiping them clean and reinstall the OS. He left all night and the next day it worked again, but still no sound from headphones. A few hours later it stopped working again. A taken apart again and stamped with rubbing alcohol. Once more, it worked but then stopped. Now I can't run anything to try. It just scrolls but none of the buttons work. I tried searching this site and I'm not quite done yet, but if anyone has any ideas at the same time, that would be great. I don't understand why RIM replaces your new phone with a refurbished. I did not pay $200 to have another problematic phone. This last refurbished phone had already 2 pictures on it. One was on a cigarette stub on a road, and the other was a screen showing a diagnostic test. Unfortunately, this will be the last BB I own. I also do not agree with having to pay for the technical support of the RIM.

Still working today, so I think that (I Hope) I fixed it by moving the membrane tactile keyboard. Emma, you're right about the coffee. It's amazing how he broke into the device and it was just splashed on. I don't know at some point I'm going to need a new keyboard I've peeled off of this membrane several times and now it's not too sticky.

  • Icon of executioner of blackBerry Smartphones is driving me crazy!

I've seen twice now the executioner to the left of the time icon and I can't understand it.  I installed the soft of executioner, but I don't think that this has nothing to do with the icon on the main screen.  And lately my battery is dying in half way through the day without even using my phone. Can someone help me with these questions?  I have search the Forum and found cat on the icon of the executioner, but appears not someone has replied yet.

    Any advise?

Your Hangman app received a new update automatically. The icon is you say that.

Open the executioner and navigate the themes or topics, which will normally clear the notification icon. You probably have preferences on the game of hangman to automatically receive daily updates (I don't remember the exact wording of option, but you can find it).

In any case, I had mine set in the same way. I had to open Hangman every morning to clear notification, you have enough of it and just be deleted executioner. It is not in any case this pleasure.

Hello and welcome to the community!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

  • Setup of blackBerry Smartphone email and BBM number on 9780

    Hi all

Recently, I noticed that my bbm "n" shortcut did not, all the other shortcuts like memo, calculator, etc. have been working well. I cross checked the "n" key on the message, e-mail etc., which works very well. It was obvious that the key is fine, probably thinking of the device is in need of an upgrade of the OS, I upgraded to 6.0.0.706 to the download site for the India BB software. Since then he has screwed my application of messaging and bbm on the device configuration. The problem started after I configured my device after the upgrade of the OS, without doing something fancy. Now, I am unable to work my e-mail installation or bbm.

The trickiest part, the E-mail setup application:

When I work through installation and choose the email Setup icon, ideally it should give me two options. 1. business account and 2.  Internet e-mail account.

After the upgrade the email set up gives me settings to choose from business accounts, where the option of Internet e-mail account? After a thorough and exhausting, research in the community, I heard people talking about relocation of the configuration of the e-mail application. Done that but still no go. So now, I can't add my e-mail address, ' coz there is no option or how to configure it.

    For bbm:

I have a return to the top of my contacts, which I've tried to run over and over again, but it brings back me to the original configuration and asks me to enter the display name. Now restore backup should restore my profile/contacts, but it doesn't. On a positive note, my shortcut for bbm works!

I would also like to bring to your notice that I have a bis plan on my device, active, but after upgrading my app world or native applications do not work on bis but wifi. Strange! Now the question is why would the upgrade of a simple bone cause me so many problems. I upgraded my phone several times since I bought it. This is driving me crazy and crazy, this phone has an excellent reputation and does not mean I am a bit disappointed by his performance or his now making me hurt.

Please help, I don't want to empty this phone!

Hi everyone, I really need help with this, its driving me crazy! I have a blackberry bold 9930 sprint, 7.1 Bundle 1737 (v7.1.0.580 platform 5.10.429), free space is listed at 154523817 bytes.

I have my email through godaddy, which is secureserver.net. This is Courier IMAP. From Friday or Saturday, my emails do not grow automatically. Sometimes it should be hours and hours before all my emails will pour out at once. Battery pull worked, but now the battery pull does nothing.

I tried to send service books today, but now I can't even access the e-mail account management option to send service directories. When I enter the application, it says 'check updates' but never recovers. I left about 10 minutes today and will continue to say: "check updates".

My boss has a Blackberry attached to his desktop computer and I have full access to his e-mails.  If she removes the emails from his desktop computer and then they disappear from his Blackberry, but if I delete an email from him in my computer box, ir remains on his Blackberry.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Hey Joneedshelp,

When a delegate removes any element of the box of a BlackBerry smartphone user mailbox, the deleted item is sent to your deleted items folder. Because the BlackBerry Enterprise Server is designed only to synchronize with records of the BlackBerry smartphone user's mailbox, the deleted item is interpreted as missing. The BlackBerry Enterprise Server does not remove an article from the BlackBerry smartphone, unless this element appears in the items deleted in the mailbox when the synchronization folder. You can change your Outlook client for when you remove items from the mailbox to the owners stay in their deleted items folder and they are not being moved to your mailbox. Support blackBerry does not recommend or support this work around, because it requires editing the registry. The Microsoft KB is 202517 and can be found on the microsoft support site. Please don't forget to take precautions normal according to the guidelines from Microsoft if you are planning changes to the registry.

    (1) contrary to others how things, RIM does not provide desktop PIM. Others force you to use their PIM and only their PIM. RIM provides a driving software that works as a bridge between your PIM and the BB. See this compatible PIM KB:
