Disabeling Windows Mail? Possible?

I never use this program in any case, so no need to mw to have it on my PC!

Anyone who knows a few solutions to this problem?

(You cannot uninstall)

Here is the procedure: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/165150-windows-mail-enable-disable.html.  If this does not work, try the related links at the top of the article and see if they offer other suggestions that might help.

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

If you want to delete all, just right click on deleted items and empty the deleted items folder.

    Otherwise...

To remove all the: select one and Ctrl + A will highlight all. -Delete.

To delete a section: highlight the first one you want to remove. Scroll to last and click while holding down the SHIFT key. -Delete.

  • In Windows Mail, is it possible to send a lot of emails all at once without having to send to each of them individually?

sending multiple emails, quickly and individually

in Windows Mail, I want to transmit about 500 mails to my friend, but by sending them an aura forever.

is it possible to select/highlight a lot and pass so that they arrive as individual emails... and not just an email

Not exactly. The function forward as attachment however will allow you to send multiple emails at the same time to the same recipient. You can drag several composition of messages in the message list window in a message. Your email Service provider will probably set a limit to the number of attachments that can have a single message.

  • Just installed Windows Mail. Is it possible to move email from my webmail and have both in Windows Mail and the web?

    original title: Windows Mail

just set up Windows Mail, and it took the e-mails out of the Box in my e mail ordinary. Is it possible to get back to my original email messages and they come for the two boxes in?  Thank you

What you had to do was:

Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced - Check: leave a copy of messages on the server.

If this is a POP3 account, the only way to recover the server must send to yourself, but that will change all the message headers.

  • Outlook Express 6 emails were stored on an external drive and are stored in folders with the name of people. Is it possible to import them to Windows Mail on Windows 7?

The strange things about this is that the mails are visible when you view them via Solution Explorer and they can be added to Windows Mail one by one.  However, they do not seem to be in a dbx file and they are not imported when the folder is selected.  Don't know how all these emails got it sorted by name of the person (in the folders).

First of all, please note that Windows Mail is not provided and does not normally work under Windows 7. Perhaps mean you Windows Live Mail, which is a differnet program and also does not come with Windows7, well that many manufacturers together with the computers they sell.

However, there are solutions that allow you to run Windows Mail in Windows 7, so, assuming that you've used such a workaround, please read here:

  • Is it possible to cancel bringing messages from Windows Mail and put them in my Yahoo Mail

I sent my Yahoo Mail in Windows Mail by using the pop server. I did not understand that all emails should be without a copy. Now, I want to repeat that and return. Is there anyway that I can do this?

The only way to do it is the first set of WinMail to leave a copy of messages on the server and then passed on to yourself. Of course, all the message headers will change.

  • Windows mail contacts from hotmail, is it possible?

I have vista and I would like to send my e-mail hotmail contacts list. Help

Go to Windows Mail and click on Contacts and click Expoert and click CSV (value of separate by commas).   Click on export and then browse and choose a file name and then click Browse and choose a location to save the file.  You are now ready to export contacts.  Here is more information on this procedure: http://email.about.com/od/windowsmailtips/qt/et_export_csv.htm.

Go to Windows Live Mail and click Options to the right, and then click Other Options.  In the Contacts section, click Import. Select Outlook (using CSV) and then navigate to the location you saved the file above, select it and then click on import of Contacts.

They should move to Windows Live Hotmail, and you're done.

    I hope this helps.

  • How to hide all the future updates to the Windows Mail Junk e-mail filter?

Is it possible to automatically hide or ignore all future updates for Windows Mail Junk e-mail filter?

I don't have, and never plan to use Windows Mail, and I'm not sure that I could never be convinced that I should, someday.

Therefore, all the updates of Windows for this are very very little, but the update system keeps their important marking - so I have to hide them every time.

Is there a technique to automatically remove this update until it is important to my system?

I use Windows Vista Home Basic SP2.

No, you can not hide all the future updates Windows Mail Junk Email Filter. But here is a workaround:

1 configure automatic updates for the 'updates but let me choose... '. "setting.

    2. when an update of the Windows Mail Junk e-mail filter is available for your approval, thereafter, hide it.

  • Microsoft Outlook and Windows Mail (Outlook Express)

I think about going to use Windows Mail using Microsoft Outlook.  In addition to the management of contacts and calendar features, you can specify the main advantages of using Outlook on Windows Mail (formerly Outlook Express)?

Right now, I use XP and Vista on two separate computers, but I think to buy the new Windows 7 computer.

    Thank you

Well, you will not be able to use Windows Mail on Win7 without do a hack job, and you cannot use Outlook Express on Win7 except in XP Mode, (Pro, Enterprise, or Ultimate only), so the biggest advantage would be the possibility of using the same client messaging on all your machines.

  • How to remove 'hidden' contacts that do not appear in my contact list in Windows Mail?

I have a contact in mail. I guess that it was put there by a few emails I inadvertently opened. Anyway when I try to fill in the "to" box on a message that I normally get an AutoComplete list, I put in the first letter of the name, if there are several names starting with the same letter. Now, when I start typing a name with the letter 'L', instead of the 4 names in my contact list that start with 'L', I get the full name of a spammer, let's call him "loser at lumphead dot com. When I went to my list of contacts to remove this stupid I couldn't find this address! So I have 3 questions. Where Mail did in fact raise the file which has the coordinates? How an address to get into the system like that and stand out of the list of contacts? Most important: how to remove a contact 'hidden' like that?

Thank you for your quick response.
No, Shawns response suggested to go to the C:\users\myname\contacts file and delete it from there. I had tried before when I tried to locate the list of contacts somewhere outside Mail (sorry I forgot to mention that). But the contacts Vista file did not show this 'hidden contact' either. But further down the page, I found an answer to a similar problem. Gary van in reply to "re: delete contacts autocomplété" gave this link.

    http://www.Winhelponline.com/articles/264/1/utility-to-clear-recently-used-email-addresses-in-Windows-mail.html

This leads to a file called winmailmru.zip. This tool allowed me to bring up a window showing ALL the contacts which it previously 'hidden', with options to remove them. I selected and deleted. Problem solved.

But I still wonder: where was hiding the contact "hidden"? If it wasn't not in Contacts of Vista directory where Mail was from?  How this winmailmru.exe utility it found? It is also strange that the contact in question seems to have the ability to bypass the selection popup box that shows generally all other contacts beginning with the letter typed and force his way into the 'To' box, excluding the possibility of chooseing another contact. I am happy that my immediate problem is solved, but I wonder if the ability of a person sending a mail to 'hide' a normal contact and overide process in Mail is a security problem or just a nuisence? Anyway, thanks again for putting me on the path to the solution.
