Disable registration new user

Hello.  We are currently running IOM 11.1.2.2 and we an internal deployment only.  We wanted to disable the link "registration new user" on the Self Service login page so that our users can not create additional users that are not needed.

All of our users will be added for connection of IOM through the reconciliation of our trusted source so there is no need to have the new record button available user because we believe that this would cause confusion.

I searched a bit changed the system is Self-Regisration allowed property and changed the value false and saved the changes.  However, the record button new user is still visible if I navigate to the self-service login page.  Is there another step I need to take to hide the button, or it is even possible to hide the button?

Thank you.

Use this documentation to access the Unathenticated pages and remove these links:

http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E40329_01/dev.1112/e27150/uicust.htm#BABCGCID

You will be able to see the main connection components and hide all links.

You must restore your registry to a point in time before that you have disabled the administrator user.  It is not easy if there is any left on the system administrator user.

One way to do this is to start your computer from a CD rescue-style such as BartPE and UBCD4Win or Linux Livecd such as Knoppix.  You can then follow the steps in the following article from part 2, step 6, using GUI to copy and rename the files rather than orders from command-line specified in article.

I read the responses on the copy files to the user overall, but when I looked in the c drive, the new username has not been added. What should I do now?

    Hello

The problem is probably damaged the ADMIN account, you were when you created the user account.

Log on as an ADMINISTRATOR or use the HAA below and REMOVE the user account that you created. Then move forward
as if your ADMIN account (the one you used to make this account user) has been corrupted. Once you are sure
It is OK then DISABLE the HAA - login to your ADMIN account and make a different for USER account
    see if everything is OK.

Try these to erase corruption and missing/damaged file system repair or replacement.

    2. start - type in the search - box COMMAND find top - RIGHT CLICK – RUN AS ADMIN

Then do-, use the hidden administrator account to lower your user account (to the lowest level) APPLY/OK
then go back and reset it to the Admin APPLY/OK - this clearly allows corruption. Do this several times. Do the
same for other accounts that may be difficult. Then if necessary you can also reset your password
in the accounts. Do not forget to leave your Admin account and the other to the desired level.

Make another Admin account with your password and use it to fix the others if necessary. (just for

  • New user accounts won't load

Recently, I tried to set up a new user account for my fiancé on windows vista (64-bit). I have never tried to create a user account on this PC before, but did it often on other systems.

The account seems to be created very well, but when you try to log on to her computer freezes on the 'welcome' or 'office preparation' steps log in. I tried to delete the user account and making it once more. The same thing happens when I turn on the guest account. My account 'admin' of origin works fine, but the problem persists or not the new user is "admin" or not.

Can access other accounts in Mode safe, I don't know what to do from there to solve the problem. To retry again in normal mode the computer freezes.

No error message is displayed. The PC becomes totally unresponsive to everything I tried - Ctrl + Alt + Delete or keep the keys F for example. The only way to restart seems to turn the unit off. The gel lasts indefinitely (I tried to leave during the night and in the morning it's the same thing).

Your help will be massively appreciated!

    Chris

    Hi Chris,
In addition to the suggestion of Michael Murphy. Try the following.

You are able to connect to an account in safe mode, there must be some programs that are unable to laod. We recommend that you try the following steps.
    Step 1: Safe mode.
    1. start the computer in safe mode.
Start your computer in safe mode: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
2 disable all non-Microsoft programs. Try the following steps.
    a. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
    b. on the general tab, click Selective startup, and then clear the check box load startup items. (The check box use the file Boot is not available.)
    c. on the Services tab, click to select the skin all the Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all.
    d. click OK, click on restart and try to sign in to a user account (not in safe mode).

Step 2: If you are able to connect to a user account by disabling all non-Microsoft programs, find out who is causing the problem.
Read the following article and follow step 2 to step 6 to determine which is the origin of the problem: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
When you have found the culprit, check if there are any patches or updates available for this purpose.

Step 3: Start the computer in normal mode.
    1. click on start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
    2. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
    3. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

I use Windows Vista Home Premium operating system.

  • A new user profile suddenly appeared whose name is garbled agter restart my PC.

I have an installation of Windows 7 SP1 64-bit randomly acquired a new user account scrambled to restart (Standard permissions).

I restarted my PC a few hours earlier, that to have a completely random user account appear. The user account name is:

    ypxfoekdmcih

I found this a bit disturbing.

    The security configuration:

-ESET Smart Security 8 (he has no active anti-theft but it has already created his account a anti-theft couple months ago). I checked the portal of the protection against theft and the name of the user account is not listed there.

-All critical and important updates are enabled. Antivirus definitions are up to date.

-HitmanPro (the second opinion scan on demand), HitmanPro.Alert (similar to EMET).

-Flash is up to date, no JRE, all browsers are updated (Firefox is 38.0.5).

During the restart of my PC (before the user account appeared), I think that trust certificates have been updated. Something hung before reboot and I was browsing the event log. I will paste the results below. In the meantime, I'll run some virus scans. Is Mode safe mode w / networking necessary?

    Event Viewer logs:

Windows detected your registry file is still in use for other applications or services. The file will be unloaded now. Applications or services that keep your registry file may not work properly thereafter.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hello.

I have had the same problem since I got my 3 Surface Pro running Windows Pro 8.1.  The problem still occurs after the installation of Windows 10.  Oddly enough, I'm also under 8 ESET with installed anti-theft. I wonder if it is the source of the problems.

I continue to delete accounts, but they continue to come back.l

I ran several security with 8 ESET and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware scans and everything seems to be clean.

I'll try and disable the function of protection against theft of ESET to see if that makes a difference.

  • Windows 7 - new user - file 'APIGREID '.

When you use Windows 7 - editing from home, in front of a computer new and clean, I have created a new admin user with my name "daniel" and protected with password. After reboting, because it takes too much time to get connected to this new account, I restart the computer by the button...

And then, to my surprise, there was a strange folder created for this new user, called "users\daniel.apigreid-" and all 'my docs, my music, my xxx movies' was inside. There was also a "users\daniel" folder, but it was not used as Windows profile.
I am logged in as another user, all deleted * (user "daniel" and folders), restarted Windows, created once again the new user "daniel", restarted again and expect much to get connected as "daniel", because Windows was something I can't guess what...
    Issues related to the:
    (1) what was the sh * double folder t with 'apigreid '?
    (2) why Windows created 2 folders to the same user?
    (3) why Windows was waiting so long to show the desktop after login as this new user?
    4) est-il possible que préfère les Windows Update télécharger et installer tous les craps au nouveau compte avant de voir la l’interface utilisateur ?
    Thank you, best regards, Daniel

When you have a lot of files, programs, use a computer with other people and prefers to have 2 accounts (Administrator and normal user), the folder names may have some value...

-> In this forum we deal daily with people who have the same configuration as you have: an administrator account, a normal account). When the admin account goes bad for one of the twelve reasons, they are stuck. Create, test, and document an alternative account (even to have a spare House key) seem easy, yet few people consider until they are in trouble.

-> To keep things tidy: I would like to have verified that the records of two profiles was active, then kept and delete it.

Why Windows create another folder, with "apigreid" attached and are not continued to use this other file already created for the user, but may be incomplete?

-> If you are looking for long enough on the net, so you will probably find that some detailed explanation of the strategy that Windows uses to create/appoint profile folders. It's a minor problem since Windows NT came to life in 1995 about.

What could be runing in background, which makes the time of startup-connecting more 5 min?

->, You will find yourself running msconfig.exe and disabling startup tasks until you find the culprit. Very often, it is a third-party virus scanner.
