Disable some elements of Control Panel, Manager of tasks and run quickly

I would like to disable access to certain control panel items, as well as the Task Manager and quick execution of some user accounts on my computer Windows 7 Professional.  I can't locate any software or guides on how to do it.  Can someone point me in the right direction for how to do this?

Thank you!

Mike

  • Group administrator cannot open Control Panel, Manager of tasks or access networked readers

    Hello

I have a little trouble getting one of our computers in the domain to cooperate.  We've added a bunch of user profiles of domain on this computer, all under the administrator group, but nobody except the local administrator can access network drives, open Control Panel and open the Task Manager.  Even our domain administrator cannot do the previously listed.  We have 3 other computers that use all the same members, and they are all very well, so I don't think that the question lies in group policy.  It's almost as if the local administrator group settings have been changed somehow?  I went into the local group policy and all settings seem correct.  I'm puzzled little at this stage.  This could be the cause of this problem?  What is a corrupt local administrator account?  For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated!
    Thank you!

  • Cannot access control panel or Windows updates and not more sound

Yesterday, I restarted my computer and a message keeps popping up that I am victim of software counterfeiting (in reference to Microsoft Windows) when I bought the computer at Future Shop just a year ago. Also, now there is a red X on the speaker icon in the corner and said "no audio output device is installed". I followed the instructions mentioned in another post, as well as other Web sites, and nothing seems them works. Above everything else, I can not access the control panel. It appears and disappears immediately. If this were not already enough, Windows Update does not work or the other. The icon is there, but whenever I click on it, nothing happens.
I only bought the computer a year ago, and there is already a long list of problems with it. I'm at the end of my rope! If someone is brave enough to tackle these problems, I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

  • Windows Control Panel has stopped working and cannot read the CD

Original title: windows control panel has stopped working

When I went to install my Rosetta Stone program it showed Windows has stopped working and then installed the program and when I put the cd in my computer saids windows control panel has stopped working and cannot read the cd

    Hello

You say "Control Panel has stopped working" or "Windows Explorer has stopped working"?

Follow the steps mentioned in the article below and check if that helps:

Start the computer in a clean boot state

Start your computer in a clean boot state, and check if your computer is able to read the CD. Start your computer in a clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

See the following article in the Microsoft KB for more information on how to solve a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

  • Conflicts of color with Nvidia Graphics Card control panel management

If I use a material in function color profiling solution to calibrate my monitor will there be any conflicts or issues related to my graphics NVIDIA card settings.

In my case, I use a graph based on Nvidia GeForce 6600 card.

Installed the Nvidia control panel with the graphics there is something called driver. Control Panel this command has a display Optimization Wizard. I used. Little, it reminded me of the old Adobe Gamma utility.

In addition, the Nvidia Control Panel also has manual controls with sliders for: Digital Vibrance, brightness, contrast, sharpness of Image and Gamma.

However, the bad thing about the Gamma slider is that it lets you not the standard "2.2" setting the value. It goes just 0% to 100%. At the moment it is only put 50%.

If I start using a color Profiler material these settings in the Nvidia control panel will cause some conflicts?

    Should I just ignore them?

Or is the best solution to disable this control panel?

    Tom,

Not sure about the video card, but I'd be very surprised if she didn't support ICC profiles.

If you buy a package of profiling Display 2 EyeOne, X-Rite is a free utility called DisplayProfile.exe, which allows to load profiles in your video card or modify on the fly.  I use it every time that my machine starts, so I can load a profile for my main screen and a 2nd one for my secondary monitor (which I use to display my palettes).  It works with the profiles that have a certain internal tag, and I know that it works with my Eye One Match and ProfileMaker monitor profiles (both shot by Gretag MacBeth, now owned by Xrite).

Looks like you have a significant investment in the hardware and software already.  If you want reliable, predictable color, you will need to profile your monitor.  This is particularly true for good matching print monitor.  If printing is not a big deal and that you for most of the stuff on the web, then you can probably get away with a built-in monitor, given that most of the people have calibrated monitors in any case.  But, if you need your color to be precise, you will need to find a way.

Maybe your video card turns off or you replace custom profile, but that seems unusual.  You should be able to get an EyeOne Dispay for around $200.  If you know that you need a monitor profiling package in any case, I could first buy it and see if you can make it work.  I would only buy a new videocard thereafter, if absolutely necessary.  BTW, monitor profiling packages may not generate custom printer profiles.  This, to a spectrophotometer and a more expensive package.

  • Child can disable family safety via Control Panel on the child laptop

    Summary of the issue
Other issues of Windows Live family safety

What version of Windows Live Family Safety do you use?
    Version 2011 (15.4.3538.513)
    Choose your operating system version:
    Windows 7

    Additional details
Hi, my 14-year-old bought her own laptop.  I installed Windows life family safety (WLFS) and linked to his user name on the site WLFS.
    (1) first he told me he wasn't, and we discovered that Kaspersky Anti-virus is blocking define us as a reliable application and password protected for the antivirus software.  WLFS SHOULD ALERT PARENTS TO THIS POTENTIAL SECURITY BREACH.
    (2) then he told me that he could disable the parental control via the control panel: > Panel > user accounts and Family Safety > Parental control > provider Elite > [click here] 'None' versus "WLFS." WLFS SHOULD ALERT PARENTS TO THIS POTENTIAL SECURITY BREACH.
This is alarming!   What is the best way to solve this problem?  Shouldn't Microsoft remove this feature from the control panel or password protect or something?   Is there another solution besides me being an administrator on his laptop?  How he would be able to make changes on their own computer if I did?   We are very angry;  WLFS has worked great for us so far!  Help, please!

Thank you for taking your time!  In fact, we have been successfully in Kaspersky parental control for him.  He is now 15.  WLFS program works very well for my 10 years, who doesn't know much about computers and has never entered a "Control Panel" of his own volition and don't know what to do when she got in there!  My son has another question: had taken programming and is autonomous led to learn more about computers.

Last year, he bought his own SERVER to run its multi-player online game!

    Thanks again,

  • Removing an invalid element in Control Panel for W7?

Here is a picture that relates to my problem:

    http://files.myopera.com/SouthernCross/files/N1.PNG

I installed 'NVIDIA Forceware 195.62 WHQL' as well as their control panel. (This is not the one that is provided by my Builder.) The drivers were nice, but caused a few problems. I ran Windows Update and downloaded the drivers from my manufacturer and replaced the 195,62 drivers. I also uninstalled the control provided with 195.62 Panel... and the image above describes what is happening.

How can I remove the extra icon?

    I tried these:

    -Remove 195.62 registry entries.

-TAPI in my System32 folder and is seeking an additional nvcpl.cpl file and that the deletion but I only found one, by clicking on the nvcpl.cpl that I currently have in my System32 heading to the nVidia Control Panel that works.

EDIT: I've removed the .cpl file in my System32 folder, which relates to the nVidia Control Panel, this causes the icon disappears.

Try the method of Notepad in the following link to find the file name of the icon you want to remove the CPL.

  • How to: using the same control panel for several vi and reproducing change to the control panel.

I created a labview project that contains about 40 vi.  Each vi has a joint control panel which is a group of ip address, or address of the port and the parameters that are passed high-level vi at low level vi for the purpose of control and access our daq cards.  As this control panel exists in all the vi and must not be the same there is a problem when the need to make a change or update the controls during development.  The problem is how long it takes to go and change the control panel of each single vi.  I wish I had a way of reproducing a change in the Panel of control through all six simultaneously.

All controls in the control panel are in a bundle, so all values are passed to 1 thread.

I tried to turn the Panel in a sub vi and this way I can just "create control" and have output parameters maniuplate vi, but if I update the vi, I still have to go back and create a new control for each vi under the control has changed.

I tried using secondary and the creation of the control panel in a sub vi which is displayed in the secondary, but gives the undesirable consequence of not being able to view or change the settings of the control panel if the program does not work, as pristine as when sub-panels program does not work.

Is there a another way to display the front panel of a Subvi next using a panel of void?  Is there a better way to propagate changes in a bundle in a series of vi?

Yes a def type might help you and I would take the next step to make a strict type def if you want the look to be the same on all its bodies. You can also view this nugget on Type definitions for more idea about it.
