disable the preview of media center channel while recording

Initially, I wanted to know if my W7 would also record other audio streams play when I recorded with WMC and I found that it records only the channel on the tuner is set and I can still use my speakers for other uses, that is great. I recorded several times with WMC and it worked fine, but recently when he recorded the play a snippet that also comes in my speakers, so I am unable to use my speakers for something else. I tried to adjust WMC initially to a channel with no signal, but when he turns to the string of recording it plays the preview and audio to my speakers. How turn off preview of channel or keep the preview audio to play through my speakers? Thank you.

With a single tuner, WMC can record and play a channel at the same time. You must disable playback.

Note that WMC should not run in a window to record. If WMC is configured correctly, it will record in the background. There will be an icon in the notification area when WMC is the record.

  • How to disable the preview while rendering?

    Hey everybody,

I would like to know how to disable the preview while AE is rendering as it

    cost of additional resources!

    Thank you in advance!

    Best,

    Alex

Simply close the viewer of composition before rendering. You can also use the caps lock to repress the screen refresh, but if you want to keep ISO of your PC work, which becomes impractical. Also, note that no refresh will happen, if you simply reduce in the taskbar. It is not as effective as the other two methods, as AE always fills the buffer, even if it is not visible, but should be good enough. And don't be fooled: If your system will not show managers due to errors of memory, turn off the update won't save your behind, either. The result buffer is only a few MB and other expensive operations of memory still occur in the background in memory invisible the program caches.

See my post "Windows 8 - record TV with Windows Media Center problem"

The answer to my problem is in the penultimate position...

I managed to solve it now by running a recovery job in the computer management application.

In case anyone else has this problem, here's what I did:

    1. close Windows Media Center

    2. open the computer management application and navigate to the bottom of the tree in the left panel by selecting system tools-> Task Scheduler-> Task Scheduler Library-> Microsoft-> Windows-> Media Center

    3. at the top, the central panel find the "MediaCenterRecoveryTask" task, which should have a status of "Ready".  Right-click on the task and select run (status changes to "Running")

4 wait for the task to do his stuff (the status does not change) then right click on the task again and select end (State dates back to "Ready")

    5. open Windows Media Center, which will realize that there is a problem and that it is necessary to rerun the configuration

After the execution of the task above and completing a successful installer of Windows Media Center, I found I could record once more tv!

Guess I'll never know exactly what was wrong, but I'll settle for having working again!

    Hope that works for you

  • Windows Media Center will not record on a disc hard exFAT formatted using Windows 7 Pro

Have 80 GB NTFS boot disk and 1 secondary format to exFAT.

  • Windows stops responding while watching the video in Media Center

I am having a frustrating problem with Windows Media Center. (Or maybe just with Windows?)

I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate, 32-bit into a media machine.

If I watch a TV show recorded while at the same time MCE registers a program, the computer crashes and unresponsive. The video and audio play as usual, but I can't suspend or stop the program. I * can * adjust the volume.

When a program ends, the screen goes black.

Being recorded in the background always record programs. The computer has internet connectivity (which is shared). I can get the start menu to display, but he can't choose all programs. Hard reset is the only solution.

Video card is on board. TV tuner is a twin AverMedia TwinStar PCI-E based tuner. All the drivers are up to date and no RAM issues.

    The back of the net...

Through follow-up, I ran an upgrade to Windows 7 and have it worked during the last weeks.

The upgrade was relatively smooth. There were a few problems with my recordings scheduled in MCE, so I had to basically see a lot of this configuration, but it was pretty painless. The rest of the config MCE (channels TV etc.) been transferred smoothly. I got no problem with installed software, although I needed to update my EPG software for a version of Win 7 so that he can run correctly.

Because I now use a mix of Win7 and Vista Home, I also started to have problems with my internet connection, sharing, which I solved it by running a proxy server instead of the ICS.

Otherwise, my system hangs completely disappeared, and the system is now stable and solid as a rock. It was so worth the little pain.

    Dylan.

  • How can I get the Windows 7 Media Center guide to update the channel list.

I noticed that lists of TV channels in Windows 7 Media Center guide are incomplete.  Not all available channels are appearing.  They disappeared for some time.  I checked the lists online of zapsit and they contain the missing strings.  The program zap2it descriptions are more precise than what appears in the Media Center guide.

    Hello

    1. remember you number updates that you have installed?

    a. click "Start", type "services.msc" (without the quotes) in the search bar and press ENTER.
Note: If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    Method 3.
You can disable the anti-virus software and check if that causes this behavior.
Temporarily disable the security software installed on the computer and check if the problem persists.
    Disable the anti-virus software
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
    Method 4.
If the steps above do not better work that you can do is to perform a restore system just before the point where the problem occurred.

  • Receive the error "Windows Media Center Receiver Service stopped working and was closed" after the video card replaced

I have a HP computer with Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit) Service Pack 2.  He has a VISX PureTV tuner card and already had an NVidia GeForce 8400 graphics card.  This Setup has worked well for 2.5 years until what the graphics card died last week.  It has been replaced with an ATI Radeon HD3450 and both all Windows updates have made current.  Since that time, the TV tuner did not work.

When you sign in to an account, it gives the error message "Windows Media Center Receiver Service stopped working and was closed".  I can use Media Center to watch the recorded video before, but if I try to watch live TV he hangs up and close Media Center.  If I try to configure the TV connection in Media Center it tells me that there is no tuner card.

I looked at the map and see no problem and I tried it back in place.  He has the most up to date drivers (so does the new Radeon graphics btw).  I tried "Uninstall" in the Manager of devices and then put it back, but it was not good.

"Windows Media Center Receiver Service Stopped Working and was closed" I tried all the fixes I've seen this error.

I tried all the things I saw here and elsewhere related to this issue.  I did a "clean boot" with all non-Windows services and the disabled startup process.  He always did the same thing and gave the same mistakes.  It seems to be linked to a Windows service, and I hesitate to begin deactivation to track down.

I ran 'sfc' in mode 'cmd' and he found no problem and none of the files to be fixed or could not fix.

In the list of services, I changed the login for "Windows Media Center Receiver Service" to "Local System account", Local Service, Network Service and individual accounts, but no permits.

I'm afraid I'm at the point of having to reload the Vista, but I don't know how to do this and want to avoid at all costs.  I don't have the recovery disks and software.  Is this enough?  Can I reinstall from the recovery disks without wiping everything aft of the configuratiion with which it was delivered?  I guess personal files will be OK (although I don't know this for sure), but I'm afraid I'll have to reinstall other applications, my family has developed over time and perhaps lose the media protected by DRM licenses.

Someone has encountered anything like this or have any suggestions?

Well, I finally stumbled into the solution.  It was caused by a conflict with another application.

A few weeks before the card failure I had installed a program called video capture Replay Video Capture that I had bought a few months ago and never used.  However, at this time where everything including the TV tuner and Media Center worked well that's why I associate the problem with this software.  The problem comes after the system is rebooted the first time after installation.  In my case, it has not been rebooted until a few weeks later as part of the recovery of the fault of the graphics card.  Suddenly, the TV tuner did not work and I get the error messages mentioned in this title of the thread.

I was at the end of my rope with this and was just to clean your system to do a reformat and reinstallation.  I uninstalled the Replay Videa Capture program to move it to another computer, and when you restart the computer I noticed that the error message disappeared.  Of course I went to the Media Center and could set up my TV tuner card and watch television.

Looking for some info on this conflict, I found the following. (http://forum.applian.com//showthread.php?847-Conflicts-between-RVC-and-XP-Media-Center-OS&s=c0aec9897b51d550c47b919e73e59bfc)  It is difficult to say who is at fault in the present.  I'm sure that Microsoft accuses Applian for the encoder to mpeg (mcm2ve.ax) used in Replay Video Capture, while Applian says that the problem is a Windows process (ehrec.exe) that works all the time, hogging the tuner on the system device.  According to Applian other products similar to theirs have this conflict as well due to the process of Windows.

Fortunately, there is a solution in this case.  Applian has released a new version of Replay Video Capture (version 4.2) that uses a different mpeg encoder and eliminates the problem.  Given the surprising lack of info about it on the Microsoft Web site, I wonder how many other people with this unresolved issue dealing with the same thing as me.  If you're like me and you don't usually need to reboot your PC for a few weeks at a time, you may never know to associate the problem with the application.  What a waste countless hours trying to diagnose, and most disconcerting, that's what I was about to go through a reformat and reinstall because of this.

Thought I'd post here my problem resolution in the hope that it might help someone else.

  • Where are the updates to the windows 7 media center satellite database?

Optus B3 was replaced by D2 in 2007, but Media Center still has B3 and not D2! Transponders have changed slightly and new transponders must be scanned manually. You are with lots of channels in the channel list that don't actually work. OK, you can disable these etc. but MicroSoft should really be keeping the database up-to-date or allow it to be edited manually etc.
