Media center stopped playback recorded movies

Hello, boy H

We need more information, on the right, click on the event and select copy > copy the information in the form of text, then paste it here.

This has started recently or has it been the ongoing problem?

If the latter, try to perform a restore of the system when he worked: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-is-System-Restore

  • Help with DMA2100-CA. Media Center stop itself.

Hello. This problem started 2-3 weeks ago. When I go to the "videos" section in Media Center on my TV, try to select a file to play, a message will appear 'Media Center stops'. Then he goes to the logoff screen and stops. The Media Center to reboot, it goes to the screen to reconnect. Once reconnected, Media Center again, but still the same problem.

Funny is that she will play some files and not others. All files are technically the same Xvid avi. Some files will play with no synchronized sound and some will break Media Center as soon as I select them.

Online TV works fine. Photos and music work very well.

    Help, please

    Hello

Now that you mentioned that the MediaCenter Application on the PC has a problem too, then this is the source of the problem. If the MediaCenter Application on the PC hangs even without the DMA2100 lit, then something has gone wrong with the application on the PC and that the error is to be cascaded when you use the DMA2100. As mentioned earlier, you might really need to do a system restore to the time where you don't have yet of all the errors on the MediaCenter Application or you can find the exact Windows update that causes the issue related to the MediaCenter Application on the PC and remove/uninstall it.

On the link of the forum below, he mentions that the MediaCenter Application breaks down can also be caused by a CODEC that has been installed or even drivers for the video card.

  • "created the slideshow" inside loop problems (Windows Media Center) during playback

Why didn't Windows Media Center during playback of a repeat of the start file "slideshow created with music" and / or "loopback", with only the first 20 or so (on perhaps a 100 total on the full slideshow) slides or photos over and over again without showing the rest of the majority of the slides at all?

    Hey trasel,.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to include another small video clip for an existing video on which you have already created.

However, you can create a new slide and add it to the existing one.

  • Windows Media Center will not record shows?

I just brought a new model of the series Gateway ZRX 6971, with touch screen

I have upgraded to Windows 8 Pro

Get the free download for Windows Media Center

Previously recorded shows that has been saved so I still had Windows 7 has played without problems in Windows 8

However, it won't save poster now because I have "insufficient disk space".

But I have over 900 GB of free space!

I tried to tweak the settings in the settings options and even tried to disable recording of HD!

    Still no luck!  Help!

See my post "Windows 8 - record TV with Windows Media Center problem"

The answer to my problem is in the penultimate position...

I managed to solve it now by running a recovery job in the computer management application.

In case anyone else has this problem, here's what I did:

    1. close Windows Media Center

    2. open the computer management application and navigate to the bottom of the tree in the left panel by selecting system tools-> Task Scheduler-> Task Scheduler Library-> Microsoft-> Windows-> Media Center

    3. at the top, the central panel find the "MediaCenterRecoveryTask" task, which should have a status of "Ready".  Right-click on the task and select run (status changes to "Running")

4 wait for the task to do his stuff (the status does not change) then right click on the task again and select end (State dates back to "Ready")

    5. open Windows Media Center, which will realize that there is a problem and that it is necessary to rerun the configuration

After the execution of the task above and completing a successful installer of Windows Media Center, I found I could record once more tv!

Guess I'll never know exactly what was wrong, but I'll settle for having working again!

    Hope that works for you

  • MEDIA CENTER STOPS WORKING WHEN I TRYING TO PLAY MOVIES THAT I HAVE DOWNLOADED

Media Center will not play any movie I have in my library, it plays fine in the music video, the same movie will play well when I use Windows Media Player by itself without open Media center.

Is there any solution for this?

    Hello KINGPIN62,

    Thank you for your response.

To check, are video files in a monitored folder of Windows Media Center?

To add or remove folders to be monitored by Windows Media Center, see the following steps:

    ·         Since the Windows Media Center start screen, navigate to tasks, and then click settings.

    ·         Click configuration library > add folder to watch and then click Next.

    ·         Click one of the options under which folders you want to add, and then click Next.

    ·         Naviguer, navigate to the folders you want to add, and then select the check box next to each folder.  Click next and then click Finish.

Alternatively, you can try to perform the clean boot to verify if a background program may interfere.

To perform a clean boot, see the link below:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

You can also check if the necessary codec to play the video files is installed.

For more information about the location of the codec, please visit the link below:

Playing videos in Windows Media Center: frequently asked questions

In addition, you can also check with the seller or store movies downloaded for additional codec information for video files.

Please let us know if the above steps help you to solve the problem for you or if you need assistance.

  • Win7 x 64 Media Center will not record unless the interface is open all of a sudden

I use the Media Center to record TV on my Windows7 x 64 box with no problems until two weeks ago.  Then he stopped recording.  On further investigation I found it records when the Media Center window is open, but regular shows will not save if the window is closed.  I removed the media center did a restart and then reinstalled and the problem persists.

Since no one was able to find an answer to this problem I restored the computer with a month of January, Image I created with Acronis True Image and all is well now.

  • Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 Guide Movie Database must be updated?

OK guys, that here's what I would have answered as: I have Windows XP Media Center 2005 and use the program guide. When I see a lising for a movie and see the details for this movie she usually shows a copy of the DVD box cover or poster of the film with the inscription. Unfortunately, it only will do with cinema 2010 programs. For films released AFTER 2010, it doesn't show anything at all, except the written information about the film. No box cover or poster of the film at all. (I know that some of these DVDs are already out). Is it possible that the AMG can send an updated movie databases (and possibly CD) for use on the Media Center for all editions via Microsoft Update?

  • Creation of DVD Windows Media Player, Media Center, stop working

I use Windows Vista and that you cannot use Windows Media Center, Media Player, Media Player Classic or Windows DVD Maker.

When I try and play a video file for example, I immediately have an error message saying that "Windows Media Player has stopped working. A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. Same message for attempting to use one of the other programs listed.

I tried to reboot, I checked for updates and Windows Vista Service Pack 2 installed and I used the Microsoft fix it solution to 'Windows Media Player stops responding after you install a third-party product that registers its own version of the Wmp.dll file' (using both the "fix it for me" and "Let me fix it myself" options).

Unfortunately that I do not have a restore to restore point, my only option was to restore to the point before you install Windows Vista Service Pack 2, but my problem before this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I think that the problem may have started when I updated a program, I used without any problems in the past ("Format Factory"), because I can't think of anything that may have done so.

    Thank you!
