Disabled in Windows XP administrator account

I disabled the administrator account in Windows XP (do not think), and my other accounts have been locked. When I try to log in as Administrator via CTRL-ALT-DEL, I get a message stating that the account its been disabled.

What should do? Or the drive must be formatted?
For reference, the system restore is disabled...

My XP Pro windows local administrator account is disabled and the password is changed every time that I reboot.

Work around currently I am using is connecting to another admin account on the same machine and activate the real administrator account and reset the password each time.  It's summer happening since I installed the latest Automatic updates of Windows last week.
    Help, please.

Well, this account is damaged in any way.

What is the standard admin or a user account with the privilege of admin account?

in all cases, the alternative I would use is to create a new account and give him Admin priviledge.

Then reboot and let windows configure the new admin account.

Then, right-click on the Start button and click Explore.

This will take you to the section where the user accounts.

Then explore the old / dysfunctional account and copy its contents into the new user account that you just created.

I would not copy the files.

Simply copy the files and shortcuts, and links from the old to the new.

It can be tedious to do the above, but its 'probably the best way to back up your data.

either way, current account, you use this time for this analysis should not be changed at this time.   That's why I suggest to create a new brand and rebuild using the data from the old account.

the foregoing is a measure of security, just in case that the new admin account is damaged as the former.  If Yes, then you have to use again as a stable connection.

'NET USER ADMINISTRATOR $ASSW0RD' AFTER THAT YOU PRESS ENTER.
    Help, please

    Hi pooja2nd,

Thank you for taking the time to post.

If you want to enable the built-in Administrator account, then you'll do the following:

    ·         Click the Start button on the desktop

    ·         In the search box, type cmd (do not hit enter)

    ·         Make a right click cmd.exe and select run as administrator

    ·         Type net user administrator / Active: Yes

After seeing a message that the command completed successfully, log off and now on the login screen you should see the built in admin account. By default, there no configuration password, so if you want to use the built-in account, make sure that you set a password. To disable the built-in account, type the following:

Type net user administrator / active: No.

If I misunderstood your message, please let us know with a little more detail on what you want.

  • Windows 7 Administrator account cannot change password ("the password entered is incorrect")

I have a user account on my computer. This is an administrator account. I can connect with my administrator password and I am in this account as I write this. When I try to change the password in the control panel-> user accounts-> change your Windows password I get my password for the existing administrator and then the new twice, but I get the error message "the password entered is incorrect. Please re-enter your current password. »

    • I entered the current password is the correct (otherwise I wouldn't be connected to the account).
    • I made repeated tests, so I can exclude typos
    • the caps lock is disabled

How can I work around this problem to change my password? "Current password" means something other than the password I used to access my account?

Is it possible to display the version of distorted of the password so that I can use it when you change the account password?

There is no way to display an existing password.

To dig a little deeper, I suggest you do this:

    1. Create an alternative admin account. You should have it anyway, even that you have a spare House key, because you'd be in diabolical trouble, if something went wrong with your one and only the admin account.
    2. Test the alternative account.
    3. Play with the password for your existing account. If you get locked, use the alternative account to reset the password.

  • Windows 7 administrative account overload, normal MIA. ?

Although the administrative account and the only ONE on my computer, I have violated release a program an ISO file because of require it * approval for all *. To resolve this problem, I went in CMD and unlocked the * administrative secret account *, connected to my main account, and then on this one. I finished what I had to do, entered command-line, disabled the account unlocked and disconnected.
When you try to log on my normal account it took a password, I have no recollection of setting, because it was my account 1 and only.
So, I've logged in Administrator, went in CMD and changed the password, and then disconnected again.
This brings me to my current problem, my normal account (named Brett) is more listed, and the only available account is administrator.

Despite the Director with most of the same stuff, its lack a lot of product DLs as well as word documents and different video things I had saved on the desktop.

Any help will be much, much appreciated!

    Try this:

    1. Open a command prompt.
    2. Type this command:
      NET user
      (You see what account names)?
    3. Type this command:
      DIR C:\Users
      (Profile folders do you see?)
If your name is missing in both cases you did not know a destructive factory restore.
At the beginning of your message, you wrote "in spite of being the administrative account and the only ONE on my computer". It is also risky to have only one key of the House. Sooner or later you lock you up. An alternative admin account, fully tested, is an absolute necessity.
  • Built in Windows 8 Administrator account

OK, so I had to activate the built in administrator to correct a problem in Microsoft Windows 8.  I went to the command prompt and active, solved my problem and it disabled.  This is the problem... When I activated connection icon showed up at the front opening of session and I connected and doing my job.  I created a new administrator account and connected to it, so I could close the built-in account.  When I closed the built in Administrator account using the command line while online I found said it would be removed from the login screen, but mine is.  I can no longer connect to the account, but I can still see and try to put a password.  I went through the process several times, but the connection doesn't go away.  How can I make them disappear?  I can not find all items with others saying they had this problem.

  • "The user profile service failed the log - on" problem of Windows XP administrator account

OK, so my mom is unable to log on to his profile on Windows XP Home Edition. She has both the administrator account. When she tries to connect, you will see the above error message. My brother can log into his account without problem.

My mother told me that she had initially gone on ITunes and downloaded 3 things that the program said she needed. When she went to reboot his computer according to the instructions, she received this error message and cannot connect.

She then guest account and was able to remove the 3 programs, but nothing helped. If anyone has any ideas, it would be appreciated. This is the Windows program that is already installed on the computer.

I tried to search in the forums, but it's a little confusing. She got also never all warnings "temporary profile".

    Thank you!

Looks like the user profile is damaged.  To allow for the recovery, you will need to log in with an administrator account.  If your MOM was the only administrator account, try starting mode safe mode (F8 at startup) and log in as user 'administrator '.  The default value is the empty password.  After that, follow the steps in the following article:

I did a full system scan. The computer is clean.
I also tried to remove all the Internet Explorer add-on to and reset all settings

I think that something that connects it to the operation of Internet Explorer 8 has been 'broken '.
during the download of updates to Norton Live. Maybe it's because as the "dial-up".
slow internet download speed I use, caused some kind of file corruption.
    I'm not too sure.

I followed a suggestion to Microsoft support engineer in Microsoft Support community

Internet Explorer will work back or not. However, after I did

and all unchecked Norton services and retarted the computer. I had
an error message saying "I need to log in as an administrator in order to retart.
the computer with selective startup"even I had logged in as administrator.

I turned off the computer and retried the above process again, but I still
got the same error. I did several times without a bit of luck.

I don't know if other permission settings that must be set correctly in order
