Disabling browser forward & back buttons

Does anyone know how to disable the "windows/browser" forward and the "back" button next to the arrows on the T510 with win 7 x 64?

I know older thinkpads had software to change the keyboard, I don't see any options here.

I find the keys to be a bit boring, I've already lost their work accidentally tapping.

Thank you!

Have a look here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=469665 I think that the utility might do the trick!

  • webpageviews were saved by 3.5 tab and listed dropdown box with the arrow (was on the right side of the forward/back buttons), I can get that back?

Whenever I changed or open a new tab in Firefox 3.5 tab remember all the pages that were visited in this tab and show a drop-down list when I click on the small arrow next to the forward/back buttons.

When I switched tabs the dropdown would show the pages that I used to get to the page in the second tab.

Now all tabs have their history lumped together in 1 place and I have no idea how I got to many of the places I find.

Make a right click the back or next button, and then select the page you want.

  • Replace the drop of the bar down to the forward/back buttons.

There was a small bar next to the forward/backward buttons allowing you to see where you were and return back or forward a few pages when you need to. I WANT THAT BAR BACK! I'm sick and tired of going through this everytime firefox updates. ALSO, I lost my characters (not that it really matters since you got rid of all space, in that the images were), and I would return. I really wish you people STOP to fix things that are not broke and send me some grief so much try to look like her and act like he did before.

You can also right click the other button to open the drop-down list or history.

Personas installed (with a maximum of 30) are stored in the file prefs.js parallel to other prefs.

So if you have lost them then you can check for problems with the prefs.js file.

Did you lose other settings pref?

  • Disable/Capture the (back) button to escape?

    Hello

I am developing an app that's only two pages; a login page, then the home page. The home page then displays various information by manipulating the DOM. Each 'screen' on the home page could link to other "screens" (by showing and hiding items in the DOM).

Is there when even disable the Escpae Key that when a user clicks on it they are not force back to the login page? Or even better, can I enter the event and a function to display the "previous" of fire?

    Kind regards.

  • Problem using the Safari browser's ' back' button

Hi, when I use the back button of the browser Safari in a site, the page remains white (white) and I need to use Refresh to make it appear. Who would confuse some people to use the back button in a site. But it is only with Safari. Other browsers work fine. Does anyone have a similar problem? How did you solved it? Thank you.

It is a known issue with Safari, (with no final solution) try to clear the cache and browser history.

If you do a search for the problem there are a number of other suggestions to solve the problem, (little useful, isn't much).

  • iOS 10 mail forward back buttons

I often used the front buttons and rear reading emails in mail on my iPad IOS application.  It seems that they were kidnapped in IOS 10!  Does anyone know why this was done?  Now, I must return to the list of messages, do scroll down until I have find the next message that I want to read and touch.  What's supposed to be an improvement?  Is it possible to recover the buttons?

You can send comments on apple and tell them you want your arrows back via the feedback form (link below)

Beyond that, the only work around is to use your mail application in the landscape (wider than tall) form, you still have the list of messages.

When I left click on the back instead of the browser navigation back button, I go almost every time to get the list of previous browsing history or it will just doing nothing until I click on the new button. The history of combination of button "return" rather than a separate between the historical click of the buttons box is the problem. Combined with my arthritic fingers of aging that is. If I was as fast as I used to be I guess it wouldn't be a problem. I liked the separate history area. This action combination navigation / buttons story scenario is problematic. I'm fairly certain that if I find it quite disturbing to bring to your attention that there are others (old beards) in the same boat I am.

Use one of the following methods to open the tab history list:

    • Right-click on the back or next button
    • Press and hold the left button of the mouse on the active back or forward button until the list opens

  • "Back" button does not

Out of the blue, my "back" button (and back on keyboard key) stopped working on some sites (TV Guide, Washington Post), but not others (Yahoo, Wikipedia)... When I hit the button, the tab of the page "flashes", but it is not back to the previous page. If I hold down the back button until it appears a list of the previous pages, I can click on the previous page, and he'll be back...

I tried to close Firefox and restart without success... Any ideas?

    Hey!

Disable extensions and allow them one by one got results... The back button didn't work when Curiyo is enabled. When I disabled it, the back button worked... All other extensions worked well...

Don't know how or why this happened, the back button worked, and then it didn't... I had no close Firefox and reopen to find it does not work, I just changed my websites and it wouldn't work... In any case, it seems at least to have something between Firefox and Curiyo...

Thanks a lot for the work... I really appreciate the help.

  • Firefox allow an option to keep the button refresh, next to the forward/backward buttons?

When I first installed FF4 the button refresh was buried on the right side of the window URL. There are a number of complaints about this place.

This button has moved next to the forward/back buttons. This made me very happy.

Today, I find he is buried again in the previous position.

I can get it to where it is no longer accessible?

    1. Control-click on a toolbar and select Customize, this will open the window toolbar Customize
    2. With this window on the screen, you can drag and drop the button refresh and place it where you want

  • Previous page ("Back" button)

    Hello

I have this scenario: a Flex application calls another Flex application (using a menu) passing certain parameters; the new Flex application shows some results (based on settings) in the SAME window broser. Now, I want to add a Button component in the called application to behave like the browser's "back" button, I want to return at the request of the appellant.

How can I accomplish that? I want to emphasize that the called app cannot be opened in a new window (should be the same) and the "Back" browser button cannot be used (even if it is functional).

Any help is much appreciated, as usual...

History.back() () starting from Javascript.  You can try to call the function ButtonBack

  • IE back button issue/problem with RAM form

I am trying to solve an error that users get when using the ie browser back button after completing a form.  The problem is after getting results (instead of using the Nice rear link button that I created that works), they use the back button of the browser, that caches the form variables that they previously selected and displays them in the fields.  I want to erase these variables.  I must be misunderstanding the cfflush and cfcache like these tags are not clear variables.

    I tried < cfcache action = "FLUSH" expireurl = "mypage.cfm" >, < cfflush interval = "1" > and I even tried to use meta tags < meta http-equiv = "refresh" content = "300" / > < meta http-equiv = "Cache-Control" content = "max - age = 2" / > but they are not the thing.

Without turning off the browser's back button (which I said is a bad idea) how get variables to eliminate the screen every time a user comes back to the form?

    Thanks for your help,

    Wendy

PS I forgot to say that the error comes when the user clicks on the submit button and does not see their form variables displayed from the previous hour always asked in the forms as well as new search parameters.

  • Disable the back button in the web browser in Windows 7

I recently bought an X 201 and I would like to disable the browser web back and forward buttons, because I keep erasing inadvertently e-mails in web environments. I found a document that describes using the ThinkVantage keyboard customizer to do this, but it does not appear that there is a demand for Windows 7.

Is there another way to disable the web browser buttons in Windows 7, or is there a different software should I download?

    Thanks for your help.

I could solve this problem by using the customizer keyboard for Windows Vista. It can be downloaded at:

  • Google web toolkit plugin for firefox (1.23) disables the back button of the browser. How do fix us this?

I have Google Web Toolkit Developer Plugin for firefox (1.23). It worked for me, but I recently discovered that in my browser back button has been disabled. By trial and error, I discovered that it's the GWT developer Plugin that is the culprit. When I disable the plugin, the previous button starts working again. When I re - activate the plugin, the back button stops working. Has anyone else encountered this problem? My firefox is version 19.0. Anyone know what would cause the plugin to start to disable the back button?

Have you tried to use Firefox 23? This is the version you should be running.

  • Back button of the browser causes the Navigation to go to the previous Navigation target

    Dear Forum,

    Has anyone seen this problem:

You have a page ADF Faces with two CommandButtons on it. Both are linked to an action event in a bean of support that navigates you to two separate pages, let's call them 'goPage1' and 'goPage2 '. The bean of the support is to ask.

When I loaded the page, and click on the first button (which determine the action "goPage1"), the right page (Page1) appears.

Now, I hit the back button of the browser, which displays the original page.

Now, I press the ANOTHER command button, that should trigger the Action 'goPage2 '. But instead, the page navigates to page 1. It is as if the previous action is always cached on the browser and any that I press the second button, the initial navigation is performed.

This happens on Firefox and IE, is not a specific problem of the browser.

Does anyone have a work around, or a suggestion?

    Best regards

    Nigel

Disable the back button of the browser by capturing the action on a button in Javascript and if the key code is '8' then do nothing (return false ;) :-)

  • Can I disable the new shipment when I hit the back button

After you send a form (search form, say) and then by clicking a link on the page of results ("action"), I want to go back to the page of the form and change the criteria of form. However, when I hit the back button Firefox always want to re-post form data before I can go back further in history. Very clumsy. Is there a way to prevent this re-post and simply open the cached page?

Google Chrome altogether kindly view of a page instead of the page of 'action' of the form which gives you the opportunity to submit again, or you can simply click back to return to the page of the form. I don't think that Firefox should force you to submit a form if you just try to navigate back in your history.

I used to work around this problem by using the slot back button to choose the page of form directly, but the navigation/FF4 FF5 default buttons is not that much longer (that I can find anyway).

Is there a topic: config that will prevent this re - submit forced?
