Disappearance of windows

When I open my browser Firefox, it opens and then drift off the screen to the right.  Cannot pull back or closing a window.

Try Internet Explore 11.  If it works, the problem is a Firefox one.

  • My external HARD disk enclosure has disappeared from Windows Explorer

I installed a new 1 TB Seagate HD in my computer comes with a new of Windows 7 Home Premium 32 - bit SP1 copy.  I put the old 500 GB Seagate drive in an enclosure so I can use it to backup my files on the computer.  I named the pregnant disk K and finally got it work.  I did a back up on top of the first and last the drive disappeared from Windows Explorer.

I opened the disk management and got this:

Disc 1 is the external enclosure.  I can say this because it's the only thing connected to the computer of this size.  I clicked on OK to initialize it and got this:

The case has its own power supply and is attached via a USB 3.0 cable, although all of my USB 2.0 ports.   I changed the drive to another port and received a message that I had to format it.  So I clicked OK for this, and that's what I then:

Now I am more than willing to admit that I'm the worst person in computer science, you will find.  I don't know in Hades, how whether a player who worked Monday suddenly became a reader read only or how to change it if it has.  Is there someone who can help me with this?  In easy plain English?

    I would really appreciate it.

Thanks for the update. Since the final stages of troubleshooting we provided that you did not work, we suggest you contact the manufacturer of your HARD drive. The error message you get already indicates a failure of the hard drive.

  • The mouse freezes and disappears in Windows 8

I've seen a lot of discussions on this problem on here, but no resolution.  Each aid seems to have everyone check their settings, but I never see no follow-up, indicating that it is resolved.

I did everything suggested, including relocation or installation of drivers more recent but less specific and eventually went back to reinstall the drivers installed initially.  That's what I see:

I have a Toshiba laptop, P845T, with a 3.1 Microsoft desktop receiver connection model 4000 wireless keyboard and Laser Mouse 5000.

I loaded a few pointer graphics (HAL9000) if different from the standard in order to follow when the mouse is pointing upwards and disconnect it see where are.  Here's what I see:

When I start the computer from a stop, I almost always comes back to the standard mouse pointers.  At some point during the day, they will disappear.  The mouse is essentially functional, but difficult to use because I have to constantly use the CTRL key to know where he is.  IE10 and MS Word seem to be triggers, but I could not confirm this.

Before or after a failure, but once restored to the default settings of the mouse, I can open the control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Mouse and get the mouse properties window.  On the "pointers" tab, I see the pattern that I have previously downloaded and saved as one asset/chosen, but I actually use the mouse in endangered or by default until I hit OK or apply.  Please note that I have not changed a thing on the window - only watched and clicked OK.

I hope someone can tell me something I've not seen many times seen as questions on several previous posts.  I'm sure I got something wrong or do something wrong, but I'm quite frustrated.  The mouse still seems to disappear when I haven't the time to restart and reset.

    Hello

In the face of this problem if you use the built-in touchpad drivers?

This problem can occur if the mouse drivers are not installed properly or the drivers are not compatible with the operating system.

You can upgrade the laptop Chipset drivers and check if that helps resolve the issue.

Visit this link for more information about how to download and install the latest Chipset drivers.

  • Optional language packs disappeared in Windows update, how to recover?

Just got my new computer with Windows 7 Ultimate edition.  I went in Windows update, which at the time contained both Important and updated optional update.  I downloaded and installed all the updates first, without any problem.

Then, I looked through the optional updates and saw he had a couple of updates related to my hardware (screen, sound card, video card), as well as 30 language packs or more.  I decided to download and install the related materials updated first.  During the installation of one of them, I got the blue screen of death.

I waited until restarted Windows and reopen Windows Update.  I notice all the optional updates have gone - all language packs have disappeared!  Not even in the location of "hidden" updates  Is it possible to recover?

    Hello

Step 1: Determine if the update has been installed

To view the history of installation, follow these steps:

    a. Click Start, point to all programs and then click Windows Update or Microsoft Update.

    b. on the Web site, click on view update history.

    c. find the latest entry for the specific update.

    d. Note the color of the icon in the status column. If the icon is green, the update has been installed. If the icon is red, the update is not installed.

Step 2: Run the Windows update utility for troubleshooting.

  • The desktop icons and taskbar disappear when windows has finished starting - any of the usual things help

I have a Windows XP Home Edition with a breath main card computer.  Replaced the Board, PS and other items.  Then re-activated windows and everything was fine.  Until the last moment, I rebooted after activating it.  I have the problem that I have seen posted in a bit.  When Windows has finished initializing all the desktop icons and task bar etc. disappear.  Nothing works.

I can bring up the Task Manager and manually run programs, etc.

Believe me when I say I spent reviewing EACH reference to this problem... Yes 5 days and counting... Tried them all.

I also tried a repair of windows in place which ends without any problem (twice)... but still no icons or taskbar.  I also ran several controls of virus, including one for the virus, which is usually the cause of this problem.  (fsnimda3.exe), I tried all the ideas in another thread (page 9) and many other institutions.  Before I did the reconstruction of the material I've cloned the original hard drive and have used the disc cloned juggling his original for the back.  Even tried to reinstall the old disk and do a comparison of sector by sector, in the case where my cloning process missed something.  In the 30 years I've been in the computer business I have never had a re - format a hard drive to solve a problem.  BUT I think it will break my record.

I'm doing this as a favor for a friend.  But at this point our friendship is really put to the test

  • Email disappears in Windows Mail

Two questions developed with my Windows Mail program the other day.  First of all, when I open the program, I noticed the mail in my Inbox appears in bold, even though it has been read previously. Secondly, when I open the program, the mail in my Inbox which previously loaded will disappear if I close and reopen the program, or if I open one of the folders of mail and return to the Inbox.  If I transfer an email to another folder, it is safe. But if I leave it in the Inbox, it will disappear.  I'm not under McAfee like talking about some of the previous answers, and I did not install new programs.  This has been completely "out of the blue", a few days ago.  No other settings have been changed? Help, please, if you can. Thank you.

    Hello Alane2,

Thank you for using the Microsoft Windows Vista Forums.

You can have setup an option to hide read messages.

In your main toolbar of Windows Mail

View > current view > Hide read messages

    Change to show all

Also, I saw other posts with the same problem occurring.  They have removed that particular e-mail account.  Then closed Windows Mail and Windows Mail to reopen, re-enter the same account with all its information as before.  Many post indicated that brought mail that had disappeared.  Please let me know if this helps or if you're still having problems. • Random photos disappear in Windows 7.

Is anyone else having trouble with the disappearance of files in Windows 7?  I found several photos and a list of "laundry" of my music has simply disappeared.  I spent hours compiling a music file for my iPod find that more than 90 percent of this music has disappeared.  Not where to find them.  Anyone?

    Hello

If you have created a file, the file will always be under Windows. If you tried to create a file and by mistake I forgot to save the file, then the file you are trying to create is not recorded and no longer exists in Windows.

The information in the file will not be available under Windows if the file is not created, cannot be saved or deleted by mistake.
If you have created and saved the file successfully under Windows, but is not able to locate the saved file, you can always search for the file.

Please open this link and search for files and folders.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/find-a-file-or-folder

    I hope this helps.

I read on the subject and I have not found an answer: my windows explore jumplist simply disappear. It only shows the options "Windows Explorer, detach from the task bar, close all windows" but frequently and pinned places disappeared.

I have not installed ccleaner or tuneup or something like that. I have not also change the setting of any. the jumplist just disappear one day to the next. However, other jumplists works fine (for example windows media player, google chrome, same control panel works fine).
    Any idea?
I also tried to detach in the bar of windows Explorer and I noticed that the menu 'Start' list shows too.
I hope someone can help me, im not the only one who have the same problem, and far West no solution.
Thank you! Sorry for my English im from Argentina.

I would try to uncheck both options and apply, and then restart Windows and check again and apply.
