  • How to rearrange windows within an office space?

I use a MacBook Pro with two additional screens (one is one Mac Thunderbolt, the other a Dell). I spread my apps on three screens, each indicating your desktop with different applications. It's all great.

I have an exclusive piece of the software running that opens multiple windows. I can move them on different screens and this isn't a problem, although I prefer to keep them all together on a screen.

When I use one of the menus, there is a pop window... There is a backup of the menu item, so the pop up to ask me the name of the item that I am saving. The problem is that I can't see the window pop up. I know it's there, because the main Windows applications / other hang, waiting for the response of the dialogue. When I go into Mission Control, it shows me the pop window. But I can't get there. It seems that the pop-up is positioned off the coast of the current screen. Mission control displays a thumbnail of the window of the office, so I can see him there, but when I'm out of Mission control, are full of things normal size and you can not see.

This looks like a bug in the application itself, who does not understand how to organize across multiple desktops.

There may be a work around the use of the preferences system-> display-> Windows meet, but eventually the fix must come from the software developer. You reported the problem to them?

  • is it possible to copy "setup" (windows 8.1, office 13) for usb and transfer to XP where internet 8 crashed browser. I don't get the option to save the installation program

I am trying to copy firefox USB of my laptop and install on the XP desktop according to the support forum: updated Windows Update then crashed Internet Explorer 8 on XP and now I have no internet connection on this computer (says error message unplugged)... I have windows 8.1 office 13 on my laptop. I don't get the option to save / download firefox run on the laptop, all automatic. Should I uninstall and reinstall? Maybe I can't transfer to XP in all cases. All non techno tips would be much appreciated. I spent many hours on it.

This isn't the way Firefox is installed.

Firefox 26.0 system requirements are here:
    http://www.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/26.0beta/system-requirements/

You must have Windows XP SP2 if you use Firefox 26.0.
Alternatively you can use older versions of Firefox here:

    http://FTP.Mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/Firefox/releases/

edited by a moderator - all older versions of Firefox are available from Mozilla, no need to recommend 3 websites of third party who may have "added features" to their download of Firefox

  • Open applications automatically to the left of the main office

    Hello world!

I am looking for a way to automatically open to the left of my main office applications in OSX El Capitan. The ideal scenario would be to automatically open one of them in this configuration at startup.

It's also nice to make the app go whenever it is open!

In my view, it is possible to be reached using Apple Script, but I couldn't find the necessary blocks around forums.

Can someone help with directions to the solution?

    Thanks ():

AppleScript would complicate things (I think that GUI scripts would be required to switch to a specfic desktop computer), but:

You can select applications that are configured to open, each time that you log on your computer, follow the link:

OS X El Capitan: items open automatically when you connect

Mission Control allows you to add several desktops, if you need it, follow the link:

Use the control mission on your Mac - Apple Support

And, you can assign an application to a specific office, please follow the link:

  • I have WINDOWS XP, run office 97 / Access 97. What is the most recent windows that run these?

    I have WINDOWS XP, run office 97 / Access 97.  That's all

I really need and want in the categories of personal finance.

However, I need a more powerful and faster computer for our world today.

What is the latest computer and office versions that will run office 97 / Access 97?

Office 97 is not compatible with any version of victory, win7 & win8 and is no longer supported (no update security)

Most of the problems are with outlook, so if you install, custom Setup to not include outlook, for a \Office97 \Program Files (x 86) folder

If using win7 see this first Ko http://support.microsoft.com/kb/978591 if this applies also to the win8, I cannot say.

If you are using win7 Pro (not the Home version) you can use virtual Windows XP and install Office 97 in this environment.

Office 2007 and especially relies entirely on win7 & win8

A more powerful/fast PC will make no difference for Office 97

  • Windows XP and Office 2003?

I took my PC repair and now I have Windows XP and Office 2003 on my computer. Should I have them both? Something sure ' nuf slowed down my computer. I paid almost as much to repair I did for my PC. It came loaded with XP.  Thank you very much for your help!

Microsoft Office, including "Office 2003"is a previous version, is a 'suite' or a collection of programs, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint, etc.

If you delete "Office 2003", you'll remove all of these programs... that you may or may not care.

You are interested in the creation of documents (paper) or reading documents created by others? If so, you'll probably want to keep your Word.

You care no doubt on the use of sheets (Excel) spreadsheet or presentations (Powerpoint), but again, it is to you.

A potential problem is your email.  One of the programs included in Microsoft Office 2003 is "Outlook 2003", which is an e-mail program that you can or cannot use.  If you are using Outlook 2003 for your e-mail, you will be no longer able to do so, if you completely remove Office 2003.

If you were my grandmother, I would say that you do nothing unless your computer is low on hard disk space: click on 'My computer' and when it opens up, do a right click on 'disk Local (c)' and select Properties; "as long as the 'free space' (shown in magenta) is more that about 15% of the 'ability', you have nothing to worry about).

If you see a screen like this, I would say also that you have BOTH boxes down achecked and then click on the OK button (it will speed up your computer a bit and also free up disk space).  Whatever you do, DO NOT CHECK the box compress things.

A computer that has the following graphic to use nearby in trouble:

  • Error: "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office 2000 Professional.

How can I get rid of the message "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office 2000 Professional".  Apparently, the system does not find a valid source for this.  To my knowledge, I have not downloaded this software even though I must admit that it does not appear in my list of software.  I tried to remove the screws of the Panel control, but to no avail.

Thank you for your response.  I have now solved the problem by deleting the installation, using the cleanup utility.

However, I appreciate you trying to help me.

  • Transfer of Windows XP Professional & Office 2007 to the new PC

I bought my current PC with Windows XP Professional & Office 2007 already installed so no CD or the key provided, and the company I bought to is no longer in business so no help there.

I bought a new PC without OS and I'm looking for a way in which I can transfer my operating system existing Windows XP and Office Suite for my new PC, or I have to buy a new version of these two which, as I've already paid for them once, seems a little unfair.

    Bigdow

You can't transfer legally of the operating system (Windows XP Pro) because the license for your OEM (preinstalled) version is valid only for the computer on which it was initially installed.

However, you should be able to transfer Office 2007.  Use a tool such as Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder to determine the CD key for your Microsoft Office installation and then ask Microsoft for a new CD.  See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326246

  • Settings in Windows 7 and Office / settings in Windows XP

In Windows XP, I was able to change the sizes of fonts and colors for all windows. In Windows 7 and Office 2010, available options appear to be lower, for example Outlook allows only one of the 3 default themes and none of them offer a contrast of colors or the abi9lity to change the font size - I am not referring to the size of the font in an e-mail message (which can be increased by increasing the value of percentage for display) , but on the list of received messages. I know that the magnifying glass can be used, but makes just pieces of the larger screen. I would like to improve the color contrast to make it easier to read and to increase the font size in the Outlook window - change display size affects only the desktop icons and they are not a problem. I know it's possible to downgrade the resolution of the screen but them, everything is very big. It seems to be a method to refine the way in which windows appear, and it is a disappointment, as was possible in XP. Even having a method to change the color for all windows options help that would improve clarity (better contrast between the background and text).

If someone has found a way to refine the color of windows and font size options or find a way to use something other than the default values for Microsoft for Outlook which they can share?
