  You don't need custom software if you only want to use Desktop. You must use the administrator to create the EUL, then you can create reports using office.

• Discoverer 11g and Oracle apps

  I have the discoverer of the installation and everything works.  When you call from oracle apps, I get this error:

  
  

  Cannot locate or analyze the .dbc file /ebs02/prod/discoverer/Oracle/Middleware/asinst_2/config/Discoverer/Discoverer_asinst_2//corpdevpl200-fin_prod.dbc corresponding to the given Oracle Applications instance.

  
  

  The problem is the double slash before the dbc file.  Where would be the slash? All advice is appreciated.
  

  The problem is that the opmn.xml file had a slash at the end of the fnd_secure variable, I removed it and the double slash problem has been resolved!  I do not edit the script, it was from the installation. Perhaps not many people have integrated 11.1.1.7 discoverer with EBS and make the call to discoverer of menu in EBS, so this has been reported.

  We configure SSO for Discoverer and now we want to use a VIP so our Base URL should be changed. Currently access us using discoverer the below URL: http://discovererdev01:8888/discoverer/more we use the below URL instead, rather than to use the name of the computer, we use the alias http://discod.mycomapny.com/discoverer/plus inside OAM, we changed the base URL for http://discod.mycomapny.com copied to the new mod_osso.conf to the discoverer restarted OSH OSH , but it gives us the error of SSO is not to recognize the new url.

  We have OAM SSO Agent that works very well with the above URL and hitting http://discovererdev01:8888/discoverer/more we are directly connected in

  users access disco using discoverer/more/http://discovererdev01:8888 which is a problem when we do DR, so we created a new VIP and use a Global load balancer our OSH, to transmit all requests for http://discod.mycomapny.com . In this way, we don't have to hit discoverer by using the actual host name and instead use the ALIAS discod.mycomapny.com in the case of DR only change to happen to global load balancing.

  So we updated the URL off in OAM SSO Agent of http://discovererdev01:8888 to http://discod.mycomapny.com and copied to new osso.conf to the ESO server and restarted the OHS and OAM. But when hitting http://discod.mycomapny.com/discoverer/plus get the error in the browser

  Still the same error in FireFox as FireFox, it should pop up for the OAM login screen but looks not so it does not hit OAM when using VIP. It only works when we use the real hostname of the machine.

The login screen is slightly different because it uses blue colors newer than Oracle are normalize to middleware and you will see the change even when you use the control from ACE.

  Thanks for the kind words.

  When you say: if I install on top of OWS 10.3.6 11.1.1.2.0 can you be more specific?

  11g UCR is installed in the 11g database.

  Discoverer 11g 11.1.1.2 does not go on top of OWS 10.3.6 but on another server. You basically install the software only, but DO NOT configure. Then you apply the 11.1.1.6 install, which replaces all the files required to transform 11.1.1.2 11.1.1.6. With that you run Setup and connect it to OWS 10.3.6. Do not connect 11.1.1.2 to 10.3.6 OWS where they are not compatible.

  The version of weblogic is certified with the version of the middleware and they are correlated on the release of point like this:
  10.3.2 - Middleware 11.1.1.2 OWS
  OWS 10.3.3 - Middleware 11.1.1.3
  OWS 10.3.4 - Middleware 11.1.1.4
  OWS 10.3.5 - Middleware 11.1.1.5 (no Discoverer for this version)
  OWS 10.3.6 - Middleware 11.1.1.6

  We have installed on RHEL 5 and integrated to the EBS R12 discoverer 11g.

  When we try to open any liability to EBS report the plu discoverer and discoverer opens fine.

  But when we open any form of R12 and then try to open the discoverer he is suspended.

  The question is only when we have java installed 7.5 on the server of R12.

  For java 6 no problem.

  I have one server RDBMS to Oracle EBS 12.1.3 & discoverer 11i production 11.2.3, of accommodation and I need to create a server DEV (virtual) of VM on this PROD. My Sys Admin will create the virtual computer, rename and give it a new ip address. Therefore, I need documentation on how to configure these three components (DB, EBS 12i and discoverer (fusion) 12i) so that they work properly with the new ip address and host name. How should I proceed with this treo?
