  WebTier is a House with Cache Web Oracle and Oracle HTTP Server installed. It can act as a frontend for example WLS.

  With Fusion Middleware 11g, SSO does not make the product more. If you are using SSO in your current installation, you can move your existing 10.1.4.3 SSO and use it with a 11 g, portal, reports, forms, and discoverer of House.

  No, built-in weblogic server is not necessary in jdeveloper for bpel upgrade.

  If you are migrating bpel go separate domain and weblogic/managed servers, don't use integrated weblogic.

• 10.02 to 11g upgrade

  Windows Server 2003 Oracle 10.02.

  I upgraded an Oracle 9i database 11 g about 5 years ago and could not remember the steps; another company, another platform.    I downloaded OracleXE112_Win32.zip, unpacked and installed.  It was obviously the wrong thing to do.  I now have my former base running 10.02 and the new OracleXE running.   I wanted to update my existing 10.02 to 11g.    I feel that I need to uninstall the XE version and reinstall correctly.   I tried to find the deinstall.bat file and there isn't anywhere to be found.   I searched for it and all that is available for 12 c.   I made this 5 years ago, but have been blocked doing back up and recovery since and don't remember what I have to do.  Could someone tell me please in the sense of what to do?   There is so much information out there, I don't want to follow the wrong path and cause more problems.  Thank you in advance.

  Direct upgrades to 11.2.0.x will require the source version to be at least 10.2.0.2 - preparation for the upgrade of the Oracle database

  First, you will need to download the 10.2.0.2 group patches of My Oracle Support for your OS platform and follow the instructions in the Readme of the file to upgrade to 10.2.0.2.

  Then, at a high level, that's what you need to do (assuming that your OS is certified for the installation of 11.2.0.3).

  1 download 11.2.0.3 for your OS to My Oracle Support platform and install - Online Documentation of the database to Oracle 11 g Release 2 (11.2)

  2. apply the last PSU for 11.2.0.3 for your platform - MOS Doc 1454618.1

  You don't need custom software if you only want to use Desktop. You must use the administrator to create the EUL, then you can create reports using office.

  Information page OE provides the COM test, it has the following statement: contact your representative Oracle University local if you are unable to find an event in your domain. COM and is linked to the following URL:

  I suggest you contact the OE. I probably just a handful of interested people for them to schedule an event of CMO review.

• 11G upgrade - EBS 12.1.2

  I have a few questions about the upgrade to 11G.
  
  DB - 11.2.0.3 - OS - zLinux
  EBS - 12.1.2 - SLES 10 - SP3
  
  I'm following notes 1058763.1 (Interoperability Notes Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 of Oracle Database 11 g Release 2 (11.2.0).) - and I'm in step 23 - implementing and execute Autoconfig )
  
  Referring to 387859.1 (using automatic configuration to manage system Configurations in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12), I did unzip the file appsutil.zip to the $ORACLE_HOME on the database layer using the appsutil.zip o to decompress.
  
  The next step in 387859.1 requires running autoconfig on the layer of DB - for which I can not find the folder of $ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/scripts.
  
  Section 3.2 of the 387859.1 means install JRE on the database layer - but when I run the java - version command - I'm already getting the output to the 11g next House upgrade.

• Oracle 11g upgrade in AIX 6.1 with HACMP

  As I have two Power servers in AIX 6.1 with oracle 10g in HACMP in which SAP application runs.
  
  That is independent of database and other Central Instance.
  
  I did 11g successfully upgrades in my DEV and QAS servers which are nonclustered environment.
  
  Now I want to upgrade even in PRD tends in HACMP.
  
  Let me know what are the areas should I focus especially on the servers in cluster environment.

  I'm still not sure what you mean by a DB server and a CI server.

  In a configuration HACMP, 2 node, Id expect to see something like

  / U01 hosts ORACLE_HOME locally on each node
  /u04...etc/u03/U02 are HA mounts you will see on the active node. In your case I suppose that its all the materials for lv, but if that's true you also put your ORACLE_HOME to be a point of mounting HA

  on your passive node, compare the mount points and itll be clearer. If you have your Oracle_home to be as much a mount HA, Id be careful with who you are, then past to the operating system with host names on install. But anyone who installed it would be tested failover (you hope) leaves thus temporarily assumes its ok. It's easier then on you that you only 1 upgrade to do and that is on the mounted oracle_home.

• 10gR 4 11g upgrade - error at startup

  I've updated our development environment UCM to 11g. After you run the upgrade on the schematic and the Middle-Tier the UCM server fails to start and launch the errors listed below. See the mention of RecordsManagement I disabled the relevant components to see if this would allow a successful boot. Disabling these components has no impact. He also complains the xPartitionID but I checked the score has not changed and is still correct. Someone has seen this error (s)?

  After a few tries, here's what I discovered when improve US 10 gr 2 UCM 11 g Complutense University of MADRID.

  If you need to change this pattern to add other attributes, its good to run ALTER TABLE instead of DROP/CREATE TABLE. My point is that, when the server of the University Complutense of MADRID starts for the first time (after the UCR is executed), it runs changing DDL/DML to sync for its needs.

  The following error occurs if the schema of the UCM/data on the structure is not what expected the server of the University Complutense of MADRID. In this case, it tries to add the XPARTITIONID column when its already exists.

  I compared the following notes 4 (choice) in the upgrade of EBS 11i (9.2.0.6) to the 11g database.
  

  1 interoperability notes Oracle EBS 11i with Oracle Database 11 g Release 1 (11.1.0.6) version [ID 757593.1]
  2 interoperability notes Oracle EBS 11i with Oracle Database 11 g Release 1 (11.1.0.7) version [ID 452783.1]
  3 interoperability Notes Oracle EBS 11i with Oracle Database 11 g 2 (11.2.0.1) [ID 1265268.1]
  4 interoperability notes Oracle EBS 11i with Oracle Database 11 g 2 (11.2.0.2) [881505.1 ID]

  I guess that #1 is the most simple, right?

  I passed the tests OCA and OCP 10g. We have no training $$s so I can't take the a required class to get the official status of OCP.
  
  It will be a problem if I also take review of upgrade of OCP 11 g? I'm hoping to pass the exam of the 11g in the coming months. I hope that we have $$s and I can attend an approved course next year and then complete the appropriate forms to get the status of official OCP 10 g and 11 g OCP. This sequence of events would cause problems?

  No problems.

  Only possible disadvantages could reduce the availability of some of the shorter and cheaper g 10 course that would suit the requirement. Sometimes 11g courses may be accepted for a 10 g OCP DBA, but check first.

  (It doesn't affect you, but to confirm it for other readers, the reverse is not true, 10 g training is not accepted for 11g certification OCP DBA... those with a drive of 10g will go 1z0-042/3 and then 1z0-050 (as you do)).
