  I think you need to clear this backup disk, and while you are this and do a full backup (which takes all afternoon to all night) you will be working without a net. If you do in idle time, and after checking your boot disk, the risk of catastrophic failure while the backup is low. Start now and in the future, you will have a backup.

  If you have a different backup disk, add it and Time Machine will create a new independent backup on it, and then Time Machine alternate disks automatically.

  Mac OS X 10.6.8 is too old to start your MacBook Air. Outside the upgrade the operating system installed, or conversion to Mac OS X Server and running it inside a product such as VirtualBox or Parallels Desktop, you can not.

  Hello, I just got a new external hard drive. I put a bunch of video files and music to share with my xbox 360. I use windows media player to make the media sharing. I got no problem with it for my regular hard drive in my computer. The first time I plugged my external hard drive to my computer and transferred the files added to the library, it worked fine and the xbox it would be. But after that I restarted my computer, my xbox can't see my external hard drive. I gave her a permanent using MMC drive letter and drive management.   Have seen others try this and fail miserably. I also saw a few attempt to copy on USB stick with the same end result.

  Save yourself a lot of grief and borrow or buy a USB CD/DVD drive.

  1. have you changed the permission for the external hard drive or files you are trying to copy?

  2. you have all important data (files) stored on the external hard drive?

  3. are you able to copy the external hard drive to the computer?

  The Autorun.inf could not be a problem for that. It always seems to be a problem of permission for me. Some hard drives have a jumper on them for write protection. You should check the configuration of jumpers, thank you consult the manual that came with the hard drive for permissions.

  Hmmm I doubt that this can be possible because it is not possible to boot from a USB flash or external HARD disk drive.

  What you could do is to copy the folder the original Microsoft CD i386 on the HARD drive and then you can run setup.exe from this folder.
  It would begin installing the XP installation program.

  But Toshiba Recovery disk contains only image files and there is no i386 folder and therefore, you need the CD of XP Ms.

  When I connect my external hard drive to my laptop, it is detected and the icon for the material appears in the taskbar background. But when I go to my computer, it happens that does not.
