Disk reformat/distribution that the partitions have been deleted.

I partition a drive of 500 G in 3 and wanted to re-partition 1.  I had no experience with this and deleted the partitions. Then, Windows 7, or Ubuntu does not see the drive.

Stellar Phoenix Data Recovery software found the data and each partition in raw form, without drive letter.  I don't even have need of the data, but I wonder if the disc is recoverable?  Each of the 3 partitions appear as volume 1,2,3 and the appropriate size is displayed, but not drive letter, so not sure how or if you can use the disk?

I want to re partition, reformat, or otherwise be able to use the disc.

Any suggestions on how to recover this drive?

Hello

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

Thank you for details on the issue.

To create a partition or volume (the two terms are often used interchangeably) on a disk, you must be logged in as an administrator, and there must be unallocated disk space or free space in an extended hard disk partition.

From the description of the issue, I suggest you to convert dynamic disk to basic disk, so that you can create partitions and assign the drive letter for them so that they become usable.

I suggest you to refer to this article:
Change a dynamic disk to basic back
https://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc755238.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396

Note: The disc not having all volumes or contains data before you can change to a basic disk. If you want to keep your data, back it up or move it to another volume, before converting the disk a basic disk.

Additional information:
Create and format a hard disk partition

I hope this information helps.

Please let us know if you need more help.

Thank you
