  Because you can't go to your office, I suggest that you start your computer in safe MODE. Next to normal mode, it is a different way to connect to your computer and makes a few changes when the problem.

  HOW TO START YOUR COMPUTER IN SAFE MODE

  1. Restart your computer if it is running.
  2. Press the F8 key after your computer powers initially.
  3. Once you see the menu Advanced Startup Options , you can stop tapping.

  6. You should see loading drivers and then Please wait.

  If this is the only time where you received this message, then it is because updates is installed on the computer and gets set up when you start the computer.

  If this happens every time that you start the computer, and then follow the steps below to solve the problem:

  Method 1: Try in safe mode.

  Step 1: Try to boot in safe mode and check if the problem persists:

  I have Windows Vista 32-bit, package 2, service on my Dell laptop. It automatically downloaded and installed updates 12/01/2016, but got stuck in a loop in "Configuring updates 3 of 3, 0% complete."

  I went through each "fix", I could find in the various positions of the microsoft, with nothing working community to correct the problem. Using the disk to initialize my computer does not work either. It doesn't let me do a restore of the system either, because it says that there is no restore point.

  I don't want to lose the files that I have on my computer, and I can't go to any program to backup my files, if you use the disk to do a clean boot is out.

  What else can I try?

  You can remove the hard drive and put it in a hard drive USB enclosure > plug it into another computer > and try to read and copy your data in this way.

  If you are still having this problem, then normally choose the boot option and see if it will fill or load normally.  If you enter Windows and not all updates have been installed, you can install the updates one at a time and see if one of them is having a problem.

  I want to thank everyone for friendly advice and assistance information.  After a few days (of frustration for me) and your continuous encouragement, I have finally overcome this "infinite loop".

  What worked for me was downloading neosmart.net for work properly CD/DVD burner.  I tried initially using my office old CD drive, but I forgot that it was a device to read-only and wouldn't be able to burn a copy of the restore CD.  I found a DVD burner work to correctly copy download neosmart.net.

  It took several boots cold on the laptop with the recovery CD as well as access 'shift F6', then quickly by "any key" for the necessary recovery menu.

  On Google, I noticed that this "configuration updates: stage 3 of 3-0% complete." has been on Vista for 2008.  It is almost of 2012 and it always creates problems?
