Display is switching

Hello, I have a HP Pavilion g6-2170-ec, bought the week ago. First of all, nothing was wrong but I installed Steam and Call of Duty: MW2. During the game, view began to switch between the integrated display and double projector (in period of 10 to 20 minutes), I checked the resolution, graphics options, I downloaded and installed the new graphics drivers, but it s not worthy. It s also happening while I m working on deskop or when it s even not using it, it s going on right now. Please, how can I stop it? I have no external projector, I want him to stay on the built-in screen.

So I found graphics switchable and selected high performance only for COD:MW2 and Crysis, but display is still switching between integrated display and control that i Don t have :-D in sequences of random time. I always set it to integrated display (in the graphics options intel HD, in the options of windows and AMD radeon options) but it s still go again and again without my action. Should I go to the store to change my cell phone? It s always in warranty so it shouldn´t be a problem.

Yes. It is time for the HP to take a look at your laptop.

  • Prevent the display of switching when the laptop lid is closed?

    Hello

I am looking for a way to prevent the display of switching when I close the lid of my laptop. On my old laptop, Windows XP, I could open the cover while watching a movie on a secondary antibody (TV) to display for example to check something on the web on the laptop screen - displays remained as they were. But under Vista, whenever I get close or open the cover, screen goes on television and laptop as a result and the whole process takes some time. This behavior remains the same even after the deactivation of TMM in Vista.
Is there a solution to this problem?

    Thanks in advance.

    SOLUTION VERY SIMPLE:

    1. open Device Manager
    2. in "System devices" find "ACPI lid"
3 open the properties for "ACPI lid" and go to the tab "driver".
    4. Select "Update driver".
    5. Select 'Browse my computer for driver software' and 'Let Me pick "...
    Uncheck the "Show compatible hardware".
6 and now, 'Manufacturer' select "(Standard système truc) ' and model:"
'Volume manager' (Yes, 'Manager of Volume')
    7. then, then restart the system and it works!

  • map display and switches

I created each of the British county borders in the form of spreadsheets for each of the coordinates, the coast is not too defined as it is not necessary to be specific in this area.

What I want to do is turn each of the areas of the County into a clickable switch to control the application, forcing the XY graph to re - load only the single County with other overlay information, ideas on how to make an irregular object behave as a control without changing its appearance?

The attachment shows the card, this may seem a bit strange at the moment but Wales and Scotland are currently not included - Mike

    Hello

You can use the generation of functions to get the value of a pixel in an image control (see attachment).

Now you can create a copy of the image and fill areas counties with a unique color by using your favorite image manipulation application. Create a look up table (i.e. a list of countys and their colors) and to find the County to the color selected in the displayed image.

  • Portege R700 with docking station may not automatically switch to the external display

    Hello!

In the past, we bought a lot of A600, R500, S10, and always a docking station for every laptop here at Desjardins, we bought.

Now we have a little problem with the new R700 model: PT318C - 00G 001,
    We bought 30 of them.

WHY when we put in the tie-down (with the nearby screen) it can display automatically to the external display no/switch? (in this case a 22inc LCD)
It is connect with the HDMI/DVI cable. And when we get the display by sliding in the graph of intel and media panel (V 6.14.10.5258), after a reboot of the docking, the screen is all buzzy... sometimes both screen are dark, and we must use a combination of keys to move.
It's really not easy to use for our users...

With the old model as the A600 or S10, all have always worked well, if we are on the dock, the pop screen directly on the external LCD, so I stopped him, ondock it and start up of all is well on the screen of the laptop.

We are on Windows XP Pro SP3.

I tried the utility Toshiba display device change and expansion Mobile from Toshiba. are not clear...

    Thanks for your help.

Have you installed a version of vanilla from Windows? Or XP has been installed from the Toshiba Recovery Disc?
Maybe you are missing several key structural factors (common modules for example). Also make sure that you use the drivers to display on the Toshiba site.

Also try a BIOS update (v1.70 is the last one I think).

I'm press any key or move the mouse, but the screen is always black!

    Hello

It seems that Windows XP Home edition does not work perfectly on the new laptops designed Vista. Before you live your laptop try to change profile settings (extended battery) power and test the parameters of this profile.
Tomorrow I'll try to install Windows XP Home on my A200 and I'm really interesting if I even notice.

Is the reason why I did not have the minidump files - the minidump file gets deleted after that I reload, I did not delete them manually...

But I got a copy of the file when I had last week and I sent it to an admin in another forum, that's what he sent me

I guess it has something to do with the VGA, I also sometimes have these boxes of weird colors on my screen and when I move around the window that is open at the time, she disappears - these boxes began to appear on and outside of the time that I started using the laptop... Please note that I have the latest VGA drivers installed...

Another issue that really bothers me is once the display is switched off automatically, I can't put it back on, I have to restart the laptop! After the screen saver, I put it to disable the display in 15 minutes, so when it is off, can not get the screen to the top... but I've heard fans work so I know that the pc works... even USB devices work... but what I do, the screen is just blank... It was not always like that, it happened after updating drivers in February (I think) and I kept the drivers up to date since then, but this problem persists...

Really hope that someone will be able to give a quick solution and permanent on this subject. I bought this the United States and who are currently living in Australia, do not know the validity of the warranty...

  • How to change the ID ID/monitor display or erase display ID/Monitor ID Windows 7

Have a problem that sometimes appears.

Setting up workstations to work with multiple display monitors, its part of my job...

The real ID monitors get Windows isn't usually a problem, most programs can adapt to the windows settings and fine.

BUT some of the systems we run sends commands and tips based on the actual number of the display, the number which appears on the screen when you click on the button "identify" in the Office/display-settings of the control panel.

Allows to call the ID of display equipment

the computer, or windows remember display´s EDID and stores the monitors already plugged into a list?

If I installed the monitors/screens in the order correct, everything is good and works as we wanted.

Then, it happens a brakes display or switch place for a reason, or perhaps a driver update resets the display list and windows starts now monitors in the wrong order.

the monitor 1 want to have HW - ID 1 to now HW - ID 2, and everything is false, messages and orders now find themselves on the wrong display.

    We have 3 options.

    1. fix the HW - ID display

2 - re - configure the system and what it includes and hope that he will not return to the display switch change or updated driver.

3 - re - install windows and hope that it shows the correct ID and continue with client applications and so on.

I discovered that it is stored somewhere in the REG-Edit, but it is impossible to find the right place

After talking to HP, they do not support such things... try windows-problem, with a clean install... c - my I switched to a screen!

    Then they ponited at Microsoft.

After talking to Microsoft Support they do not support such things...

I don't have the skills, but I can't be a problem with a script that removes the EDID reg-edit list after a reboot?

then it would be not so complicated, simply:

Unplug everything except the display that you want to be number 1
    Run the script

    reset

connect the display 2 and so on?

    Hello

I understand that you are not connected to the domain. But it seems you're a developer and you try to change the logical numbers of monitors/screens. This is why it would be better suited in MSDN Community.

  • Satellite S2450-202 - multicolored flashing pixels

    Hello world
I have big problems with my Satellite S2450-202.

Now it hangs whenever he feels like it, sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes after an hour.
When I turn it on it starts as normal and load my normal desktop page then without warning the screen freezes and I get multicolored flashing and the displacement of pixels which change to the smaller pixels white/gray/black, forming lines on the screen. If I leave it alone, it restarts finally saying that the computer is not stopped correctly and begins with the tool running and checking the status of the disks disk check to find errors, but do not find anything.
I have not loaded something new or changed settings, the laptop is now completely unusable as it is.
    Can someone help me?

I am running windows xp service pack 3
The notebook computer is a Pentium 4 2.80 ghz with 512 MB ram with 420 graphics from nvidia ge force.

This model of laptop must be 7 years old and I m did not ask something like this starts happening after so long.
It is not easy to say what the problem is here, but I guess it must be because of malfunctioning of the graphics card.
To verify this connect external screen to the laptop, desktop to external display only switch and check what is happening here. If the same thing happens again it's graphics card problem without a doubt.

Two other keys are also not stand-by - presentation and Toshiba Assist button button - could it be connected somehow?

Operating system is Windows XP Pro SP2 updated.

    Can someone advise me?

    Richard

    Hello

    Check these tools:
Utility to modify the device, call display for external monitor, Hotkey utilities for display devices.

As far as I know all the tools theses are responsible to properly display the switching device.
    Try reinstalling these tools.

Have you also used the recovery CD?
