In this case, you will need to NLS_LANG well-positioned and re-export. Keep the NLS_LANG value. AR8MSWIN1256 when importing as well.

    Search ranking

    I like to use research to launch programs - press the windows key, type "ste" press on enter and steam launches, for example.  However, for firefox, I have to type the whole word.  Is there a way to define the search so that when I type "fire" or even "tree" firefox is the first element of the research?

    Also of note – is Firefox used to come as the first item of research when I typed "fire", but now it is not even detected until I type the word in full. What could have changed to do this, and how I can solve this problem (for as far as I know that I didn't change the search options or other parameters that could lead to this).

  • Data merge encoding error with the Arabic text.

    Hello, I was wondering if anyone has any advice for the use of data with the Arabic text merge.

    I saved the text to Unicode.  It displays corectly in the TXT file.

    But when trying to use datamerge I get an error that says that some of them could not be encoded.  All my Arabic resembles numbers/letters/puctionation.

    (this is with the world ready paragraph composer on).

    In the comments on this page someone sugested using notepad ++ to convert the internal encoding UTF-8 WITHOUT BOM.

    I have not understant what this is, but I don't have the error message after doing this.

    My text is still incomprehensible, but now its symbols like this: o¨o§u «Ù...» UŠoª f rather than nubers/punctuation.

    Nobody knows what's goining on? or how I can fix this?
    Thank you!

    I appreciate it.

    Just in case: windows 8, adobe cs6, excellent 2010

    It seems that ive got I had to combine this solution

    with what I was doing previously.

    Missed me this little milestone:

    Import Options box when you select the CSV file to tell InDesign what encoding it is saved in.

    EDIT: That's what I'm doing, incase anyone else has this problem:

    Save as unicode txt.  Make sure that under options adtional > web options > encoding is set to utf 8

    then, under import box Options when you select the CSV file to tell InDesign what encoding it saved in.

  • Adobe Arabic do not call the final form of the Arabic text?

    Hello

    I'm creating a journal that is mostly in English, but has an article in Arabic. I use InDesign CS5.5ME and uses Adobe Arabic for the Arabic text 2.006.

    I have a situation in which it appears that InDesign reads a diacritical mark in the middle of a Word as an indication that the word has come to an end.

    In the screenshot below, you can see that the heh ending at each of these four words is preceded by a dal with one or two diacritics. It seems that the diacritics speaker causes InDesign to assume the word is finished, and it is affecting the heh using its isolated form. What my editor tells me, it's the heh must be set using its final form.

    Screen Shot 2013-07-08 at 4.42.08 PM.png

    When I change the police for another font with Arabic characters - say X Davat or Times New Roman - the heh correctly takes its final form.

    This leads me to believe that some police - perhaps connected to the diacritic - statement is incorrect. In InDesign settings appear to be correct (otherwise, the problem would appear in other fonts, too). Can anyone else reproduce this problem? Does anyone know if Adobe Arabic 2007 solves this problem (assuming it's a bug)?

    Thanks for any help.

    Thanks for your help, Miguel.

    For anyone who has followed this thread, Miguel helped me discover that InDesign was load an earlier version of the police. While I thought that I had loaded v2.006, I actually had not, so InDesign 'found' a version and that in its place. I'm still trying to understand loading where the old version, but now, when I'm sure I have loaded version 2.006, InDesign built correctly the words using the correct characters.

    To find out which version of the police has been actually used in my paper, I opened the find font dialog box and clicked on the button more than information - a feature that I had forgotten in the past, but will rely on a lot from that time.

  • to view the consecutive words in a table on a press of a key. Event listeners does not.

    I need to display a series of words consecutively on a black background. A new Word presented whenever you press the Enter key (it is necessary that it is the same key IE each time the Enter key). The words are arranged in a table. I created a function for each button press and a listener. Also, as the previous word is replaced by the following, I have a removeChild() to get rid of the the last word.

    I have a set removeEventListener in place too, to avoid problems with listeners. To this, I've been long without success. It must be an earpiece problem (IE I do not have the doors correctly listeners?) or a display problem. It always shows only one. Please find below the code for the display of two of the words in the table called cvcwords. The main problem is that the words are not displayed one after the other (actually not at all, except for the first) when you press the Enter key. Very much as a powerpoint presentation, that's the idea anyway. I have just a sample of the code below. any help appreciated.

    var cvcwords: Table = ["bad", "mod", "hud", "mit", "sat", "fog", "puc",];

    this. stage.addEventListener (KeyboardEvent. ) KEY_DOWN, modKeyDown);

    Function modKeyDown (e: KeyboardEvent): void {}

    if (e.keyCode is keyboard. ( ENTER) {

    removeChild (myText);               / / to remove back Word of screen

    myText.text = cvcwords [1];        //to View element un of le table

    addChild (myText);

    } else If (e.keyCode == keyboard. ) SPACE) { //this is distinct from the other for option }

    myText.text = "try again";

    addChild (myText);

    this. stage.removeEventListener (KeyboardEvent. ) KEY_DOWN, modKeyDown);

    }

    }

    this. stage.addEventListener (KeyboardEvent. ) KEY_DOWN, hudKeyDown);

    Function hudKeyDown (e: KeyboardEvent): void {}

    if (e.keyCode is keyboard. ( ENTER) {

    removeChild (myText);  to delete the previous word of the screen

    myText.text = cvcwords [2];

    addChild (myText);

    } else If (e.keyCode == keyboard. ) SPACE) {}

    myText.text = "start";

    addChild (myText);

    this. stage.removeEventListener (KeyboardEvent. ) KEY_DOWN, hudKeyDown);

    }

    }

    From what I see of your code, the following is everything you need...

    var cvcwords: Array = ["bad", "mod", "hud", "mit", "sit", "fog", "puc",];
    var count: int = 0;

    stage.addEventListener (KeyboardEvent.KEY_DOWN, modKeyDown);

    function modKeyDown(e: KeyboardEvent): void {}
    If (e.keyCode == Keyboard.ENTER) {}
    myText.text = cvcwords [counter];

    counter ++;
    } Else if (e.keyCode == Keyboard.SPACE) {}

    myText.text = "try" again
    addChild (myText);
    stage.removeEventListener (KeyboardEvent.KEY_DOWN, modKeyDown);
    }
    }

    When you test this in Flash, in the drive to be sure, you will need to select the option of Devil keyboard shortcuts located under the control option in the top toolbar

    If you really want to tell them to try again, probably not wanting to remove the event listener

  • Conditional display in the text box based on the calculated value

    Hello

    I have radio buttons that each have a numerical value. For example = 1 A = 2 C = 0. In the example below, the total is equal to 5.
    examplescreen01.gif

    The sum is displayed at the bottom of the document and is passed to another text box:

    examplescreen02.gif

    Instead of '5' displayed in the text box on the right, it should display a "Control" Word like this:
    examplescreen03.gif

    The displayed word is based on the totals through this range:

    1-2 = 'absorbing '.

    3-4 = 'practitioner '.

    5 to 6 = "control".

    The script I used to pass the value from the left to the right text box in the chart above is:

    name of the field to text box;

    var cTextBox = 'Cabinet Talent strategy knowledge - total';

    get the value of the field with the name in cTextBox;

    var sTextBox = this.getField ("cTextBox") .value;

    Set the value of this field;

    Event.Value = sTextBox;

    That I need to add to this script to show one of the words, such as "control" above?

    I am a complete novice to scripting. I found the above script online and somehow got it to work.

    I thank very much for any help or pointers, you can provide.

    Best regards

    Chris

    Sorry, there were some errors in the code that I provided above. Try this:

    If (sTextBox > = 1 & sTextBox)<= 2)="">

    Event.Value = "absorbing";

    } ElseIf (sTextBox > = 3 & sTextBox)<= 4)="">

    Event.Value = "practitioner";

    } ElseIf (sTextBox > = 5 & sTextBox)<= 6)="">

    Event.Value = "master";

    } else {}

    Event.Value = "";

    }

  • Distiller 4.0 will not be displayed in the topic of my printer (XP)

    Hello

    This isn't the right forum, but I couldn't find one that applied because I use XP and my system and SW is old but still works fine.

    I was deleting unnecessary files and deleted adobe pagemaker 6.5 which unbeknowst me deleted Adobe Distiller 4.0 that came with it.

    I love Adobe Distiller 4.0 because I can make a .pdf of what either.  I often use it to make a PDF on a Word, Excel, and even Web pages.

    I reloaded it, but it will not be displayed in the printers section.  Basically, I go to print something and choose the option to distil instead of my printer and it would create the .pdf.

    I was wondering if someone could help.  I don't really like to download any free .pdf decision-makers because I really liked how distillation works.

    Thank you.

    Paula

    To clarify a bit for you (I don't know which Acrobat Distiller 4 was designed for, but probably 4 or 5). At that time, there were 2 distillers that caused confusion. One was the printer driver that you are talking about and the other was in the program. The print driver was actually Setup to run Distiller in the background, where the name of the driver. In current versions, the driver was renamed the Adobe PDF printer. This may have been distributed as part of package PM that you had, but I don't think he was probably part of the packaging itself, but an add on. You should seek an additional part of the distribution to install. In addition, you also probably have Acrobat Distiller installed program and be available in another program in your system.

    When properly installed, you should have, the pilot program of printing and AcroTray.exe running in the background. (Listed under Acrobat Assistant a few announcements at the beginning of the program) is a program that runs in the background to allow the print driver send print file (.ps file) to send to distill the PDF creation to complete. All three should be there. You can check if you have an Acro... or such driver in the System32 folder. That would be your printer driver is needed.
