Display the files Flash problem

I hope someone can help me.  I am running XP and using IE7 and the latest version of Flash - 10. etc etc.

All of a sudden I get messages from many websites saying that I need to install Flash 8 or higher.  I confirmed on the auditor from Adobe that it recognizes that I have Flash 10 installed.

Does anyone know why all of a sudden I would be having this problem?  Any ideas on what to do about it?

Thank you

Kathleen

Kathleen,

Ah.  Well well... my hunch is wrong, then!  In recent years, including now, Adobe uses SWFObject to its Flash detection.  SWFObject is certainly a good detection script, and the page you shared is research version 9.0.28 or higher.  The strange (for me), it is that the Version information box insists that you have version 10, so for the moment I'm leaning towards the idea that something is wrong with your installation of Flash Player in Internet Explorer in particular.

One of my friends had a problem like this recently - only in Internet Explorer, as your case - and for him, the solution was to open IE and use the file menu to go to tools > Internet Options.  From there (the dialog box Internet Options), click programs and then click the Manage Add-ons button.  Scroll down to find the Shockwave Flash object and ensure that its status is set to enabled.

Of course, it can already be activated, in which case I would probably try to uninstall Flash Player 10, and then reinstall from scratch and only give it a shot.

Unfortunately, I'm only guessing here (I hope guesses!), so I hope it works for you outself.  I vaguely remember having problems the year with Flash Player - in IE only - last for a few days, and it finally disappeared when I uninstalled the player and that, coincidentally, visited a Web site that prompted me to install... and I that everything back in shape.

Have you posted in the forum specifically for support of Flash Player?  http://forums.Adobe.com/community/webplayers/flash_player  There may be a different set of people here more info on player knowing installation problems.

You can hide the menu bar in Firefox 3.6 on Windows, on "view > toolbars" or via the contextual right click menu on a toolbar.
Press in and hold the Alt key to display the menu bar.
Go to "view > toolbars", right click on the menu bar, or press Alt + V T to select the toolbars to show or hide.

  • Library: Can I display the file size? Can I import namesake twice?

Hi, I have two questions regarding the use of Lightroom:

    • Can I display the file size under a thumbnail and I can sort the images by file size? In my view, this is not possible. (Knowing that "Megapixel" is a criterion.)
    • Is it possible to import images with identical names twice, when they are duplicates in different folders? In my view, this is not possible. I believe that you must rename the images in a folder until you can import it again. I believe that you can import only a file name, once, even if the second file is in a different folder.

    Am I wrong?

Are there other simple things that miss you?

    Thank you.

You can import a picture with a duplicate file name - just see the file management section in the right of the Module to import Panel and deselect the option that says "don't import suspected duplicates."

Given that I work with multiple cameras and some of them turned on back to the "0001" in their file numbering sequence, (and new cameras go back to 0001), I have duplicate names stored throughout my catalogue. Or, at least, I did until I started my files to import with a sequence of name custom including the date of name change.

  • Could not find the file "flash.ocx".

    Hello

I am running IE8 WinVista 32-bit with Adobe Flash WIN 10,1,82,76.  I downloaded the updates to Adobe a couple of days and I'm now receive this annoying error code in a little white box that appears to the top about every 30 minutes: "cannot find the file"flash.ocx".

Add it is activated.  I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the program, does not.  No idea how to eliminate this annoying little error code?  Player flash itself does not seem to be affected by the error, it's just my brain which is totally bored.  I've read through the forums and cannot find a solution that works for me.  I also read that I should post my own thread, so here it is.  Any help will be appreciated.

Hi, so he's back. I do not know how to disable just add it on would not allow the screen saver work. Is this add on an Active X Control? And is there more than one add on there related?

When the control to add ons with IE8, be sure to check the 'Show' and the use drop down arrow and look for all the 4 categories, in addition to the toolbars & Extensions.

Do not forget that you had to add it on after you deactivated yesterday and it worked at the time of your post for 3 hours and no pop up. What I was asking is whether to use the screensaver, simply disable that add on after you restart the morning and then turn it back on.  It would be interesting to try.

    Thanks for the update.

  • network does not recognize the files Flash CC

I created a Flash CC file on my computer Surface Pro. My desktop computer has CC Flash and Creative Suite CS4. When I use my network from my desktop to display the Flash CC file on my computer Surface Pro, the file FLA Flash CC does not appear, but the corresponding SWF file appears. If I save the file under a new name, then the FLA file and SWF file both appear on the network. Why is that happening and how can I solve this problem?

It's Adobe strongly recommends to not to work on a network rather than I have. I have a supercharged RAID1 + 0 file Windows Server R2 server, I would like to just work outside with my FLA/publish/etc. Always is there, they say, it's problematiic and just do not do. So I did not.

I'm glad your problem is solved however. If you are ready please mark helpful/correct so we can filter the questions unanswered. Good luck!

  • Windows Explorer does not display the file or files with fix = folder

A few days ago I noticed that I have some files seemed not be included in the records, I have worked with. After some fiddling, I find that I can see all the files in a folder if 'fix' (at the top right of the display of the files) is set to "name". Usually the value by default in "folder" but whose value fix folder the subfolders and their content is invisible.

With fix the name value, I moved some files to another folder and they turned upward correctly. But when I then moved this folder in the folder where I had taken the files and set fix it to the folder again the folder and its files have disappeared.

I had recently downloaded both Dropbox and Google so I removed the and pulled out another who was supposed to repair/update drivers that I had a problem with many (e.g. printer) drivers disappear just before Christmas. Does not see how this can be related unless there is also a malware somewhere on my computer. I have Norton 360 update and run Windows Defender when he invites me.

The only other recent change (after the loss of the pilot) was to download all the Windows updates current, even if not necessary.

I am running Windows 7 64 bit. Windows is up to date.

Right-click on the folder and click Properties,

Is there a Unlock button on the general section?

    If not,

Check the hidden box and click on apply.

This will set all the folders and files as hidden.

Now to clear the hidden check box, click on apply again.

This will remove the attribute hidden folders and files,

Finally click OK and apply and OK your way out.

At worst, check with your user account permissions.

  • display of file sequence problem

I have a problem today that I've never had before.  The files in a particular folder that I imported are not displayed in order of file name. When I imported the first people were piling up as expected.  However as I continued to work on the 200-or-so images in the folder, they fell completely out of sync filename.  I searched the menus of a way to reorganize and view by file name without a bit of luck.  I don't use keywords, along with color or tags. All files are not classified.  Yet, every time that I reopen the file to work on it, the images are still more disordered.  I tried to manipulate the library without result filters.  I don't know there is something really simple that I forget, but I can't understand what it could be.  The file out-of-order sequence drives me crazy because I have to change certain groups of files to match the other.  However they are scattered in different parts of the sequence, despite the fact that their file names must keep together.  Any ideas?

    Burn a CD or DVD

Applies to all editions of Windows Vista.
Which edition of Windows Vista do I use?

If your computer is equipped with a CD or DVD burner, you can copy files to a recordable disc. This process is called burning a disc. By default, Windows Burns discs in the active file system format, but you can also choose to burn discs in ISO image format.

NoteYou can use Windows to burn a data disc, which is useful for storing, archiving, and sharing files among different computers. If you want to make a disc that will play in a music or video player, you should burn the disc using a video program or music.

Burn a disc by using the live file system format

    1.

Insert a writable CD or DVD CD writer or DVD in your computer.

    2.

In the dialog box that appears, click burn files to data disc.

    3.

In the dialog box burn a disc , type a name for this disc, and then click Next.

It can take several minutes for the drive to be formatted in the active file system format by default. When formatting is complete, an empty disc folder opens.

    4.

Open the folder that contains the files to burn and then drag the files into the empty disc folder.

You can copy files to the disc folder by dragging them to the disc or to a folder to open disk icon

When you drag files to the disc folder, they are automatically copied to the disk.

Burn a disc using the ISO image format

Choose the size of the ISO image when you need a highly compatible disc that will play in computers with an older version of Windows or in devices such as CD and DVD players that can play video files and music digital. For more information about choosing a disc format, see which CD or DVD format should I use?

    1.

Open the folder that contains the files to burn and then drag the files into the empty disc folder.

    6.

In the toolbar, click burn to disc.

The selected files are copied to the disk. When burning is complete, the drive tray opens and you can remove the drive. You can now use the disc in another computer or media. This type of disc has no need to be closed.

    • To burn a disc to ISO image, you will need free space on your hard disk equal to the capacity of the disk. For a typical CD, it is approximately 650 megabytes (MB).
    • If you select the files to burn but decide not to copy the files on disk, you can delete the temporary files to recover hard disk space. To remove the files, open the disc folder, select the files, and then, in the toolbar, click delete temporary files.

  • The Windows 7 Explorer displays the file as empty but empty folder properties is not

Hello, I'm trying to delete empty folders from my computer. I am running Windows 7 Professional, and my user account is an administrator and the user account only on the computer.

When I use Windows Exlporer to navigate to the folder, it seems empty: "this folder is empty". But if I navigate back to the parent and then right-click on the folder and select properties it shows: "contains: 1 file, 0 folders" or for some records: "Contains: 2 files, 0 folders. Even when I run on the DIR of CMD file.

I have hidden files and folders checked to display and I have checked that I am the owner of the folder.

    Any ideas?

One more step. I found another option in Windows Explorer: "Hide protected files of the operating system (recommended)". Just in case where you need help to find this option:

    1. Open Windows Explorer
    2. If not display the menu (file, edition, view, tools, help) options, click ALT
    3. Click on tools
    4. Select folder options...
    5. Click the view tab
    6. Untick: Hide the protected files (recommended) operating system

You can now see and search for files hidden, protected from the operating systems such as Thumbs.db.

I use fast empty folder of http://listeningpc.com Finder to find and remove empty folders.

    Hope this helps someone else.

  • Windows 7 - access to the file permission problems

I have a new laptop of Dell M4700 with Windows 7 64-bit, and file access permissions are create chaos.

When I open a file for editing, the computer only wants to save - under a different file name, not simply to save the existing file.  This occurs in Notepad and several other programs.  It's the same thing that hit the button "save under" instead of simply register.

Several times at the opening of files, in particular on external drives, the file will only open read-only.  I can copy the file to the local hard drive, and it works normally.

So far, I tried the following:

    • I have administrator rights.
    • I went through and all the property of the files changed for me.
    • Make the read-only attributes of course removed
    • Run programs as an administrator
Any help to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like you don't have permission in writing to these files.

To resolve or explain it, you look at the permissions on the file/folder and they are explicitly defined or inherited from the parent folder (or higher).  When it comes to permissions, administrators are users like everyone else.  Directors may be refused or permissons to files or folders like any other user.  Even the file owner can change permissions such as he is denied access to its own folder.  The only advantage that owners and managers have is permission to change permissions.

You need view the permissions currently in effect for that file.  Usually, this is done:

Right click on the file / folder-> properties-> tab 'security '.

At the top will be list users and groups with permissions and if you click on it, the bottom window displays their permissions.   Learn more about this everything is there:

"Together, see, change, or remove permissions on an object.

This will lead to other links which provides information on how to set permissions.
