I already use Firefox Sync, after a few days ago I am facing problem of synchronization. Each time Firefox Sync display "Sync has encountered an error during synchronization: unknown error." "Sync automatically retrying this action. So why is this and how to fix it.
How to ensure that Firefox Sync is working properly.

Hi, I started recently a problem with the sync on my desk. My partner Android and Mac laptop no problems when you attempt to synchronize, but office always gives the same error. I tried to disconnect from the desktop computer, erase all files, restart and then adding the Office to synchronize once more, but the error persists.
All bookmarks on the desktop disappeared, but are still in my sync data and have no problem being viewed on other connected devices. It also tells me that the issue is not the sync server and that there is something unique to the desktop machine.
I hope that this will not require a reinstall, but if all else fails, it's an option. I'll try to attach a log file once I put the question.

Firefox Sync: Unknown error
I get an "unknown error" in Firefox Sync on my two computers. Here are the most recent error log:

I want to switch to Chrome, Firefox, but I have a problem with the synchronization feature.
It always displays the following error message: ' Sync has encountered an error during synchronization: unknown error. " Synchronize automatically retrying this action. »I already tried this work around, but it did not work: remove my account from syncing, completely reset my Firefox profile, import my favorites of Chrome (using an HTML file), set up a new sync account (using the same e-mail address then that previously deleted).
But I still get the error message.I saw in other threads that could be a problem with the story, so I also tried to delete, but it doesn't work anymore.

I finally found a solution to this problem of synchronization:
I downloaded the add-on 'Housekeeping' and run the integrity check routine, and it seems to have solved the problem.

Hi today with Firefox 33.0.2 I was see an error at the bottom of the screen whenever FF is open. The message reads - "Sync has encountered an error during synchronization: unknown error." Synchronize automatically retrying this action. »
This happens both of my laptops running the latest stable version of FF is 33.0.2.
I am also using the latest version of sync using just a password and e-mail address to connect computers on behalf of synchronization, who has had no problems until about 3 hours ago.
If I get the above error message, and then try to perform a manual synchronization using the sync tool the message will pass to-"Sync has encountered an error during synchronization: the Firefox Sync server maintenance is underway, synchronization will automatically resume." Sync automatically retrying this action. "
Why I posted here because I tried the Mozilla @mozservices Twitter account to see if there is any failure or maintenance in progress, but have had no luck.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

unexpected error when you try to reset Firefox sync

I'm trying to reset my password for Firefox sync, without success. When I enter my email address and click on 'next' I get "unexpected error." I don't want to create a new account with a different email address.

The reset Firefox feature can solve a lot of problems in restaurant Firefox to its State default factory while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies and other essential information.
Note: After Firefox reset, you will lose all extensions, toolbar customizations, and certain preferences. See article Firefox Refresh - reset modules and parameters for more information.
To reset Firefox:
- Open the troubleshooting information page using one of the following methods:
- Click the menu button
click Help
and select troubleshooting information. Should open a new tab containing your troubleshooting information.
- If you are unable to access the Help menu, type Subject: support in your address bar to bring up the troubleshooting information page.
- Click the menu button
- At the top right of the page, you should see a button that says "Reset Firefox" which looks like this:

I had two incidents recently where FireFox will simply display a blank screen. In both cases when I tried the same website in Google Chrome, Chrome displays an error message which helped me to solve the problem. Firefox just sits there without understanding. I can't find a check in FireFox options box that says: "display system error messages. How can I do this? I prefer FireFox to Chrome, but if FireFox didn't tell me what the problem is, I can't use it. This problem has cost me more than a week in a recent update of the site.
One possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.
Delete all rules for Firefox in the list of permissions in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

You don't need Firefox 4, the extension. Just uninstall it and run as usual.
At the time when your system does not use the extension of Firefox Sync more and is it is true that it should be transparent, we see some cases where expansion is causing malfunctions like yours.
