Distill comand does not not with acrobat pro dc - MAC

HI, using MacOS 10.10

Installed acrobat pro dc.

Following script used to convert ps to pdf file.

Tell application "Acrobat Distiller"

Distill sourcePath 'path of the ps file' destinationPath 'pdf output file name' adobePDFSettingsPath '.joboption filepath.

tell the end

distill command it returns 'false' even the performance order was working with acrobat pro 10.

Kindly confirm if distilling command is deprecated and any other command should be used for acrobat pro dc. Right answer

It works for me (DC Acrobat in Mac OS X 10.10.3).) I would try to find out what setting is causing the problem by running the command with just one or two parameters:

tell application "Acrobat Distiller"
Distill sourcePath "path of ps file"
end tell

And this one:

tell application "Acrobat Distiller"
Distill sourcePath "path of ps file" destinationPath "output pdf file name"
end tell

  • Disabling "Click to Play" in all: config does not not for Acrobat Pro 10

"I'm having a problem of disabling ' click to Play", the function that displays the gray screen inviting you to activate a plugin before proceeding further. By clicking on "Allow and remember" doesn't seem to work, because I always see the screen, even if I visit the same site.

I set the plugins.click_to_play option to false in: config, but I still don't screen "Click to Play".

I'm trying to view the PDF files in the browser itself * WITHOUT * the trigger for the game screen popping up everytime, which ages quite quickly. Can someone help, please?

The plugin in question is Adobe Acrobat Pro version 10. I have the reader on your computer as well (v 11). I prefer to use the reader to view the PDF files, it is more common, but I can't make it work in Firefox, despite all the operations described in the relevant sections of the KB and the options dual control in Acrobat Pro and reader. Therefore, I'm stuck with Acrobat Pro, which is older and so the problem with the incessant "click to Play" screens.

See if you have these two, and if you can get rid of the Acrobat one:

  • Install Windows 8 Pro on window 8 does not affect it Pro Windows, no HYPV

    I bought a machine with Windows 8

    I bought a new Windows 8 Pro.

I installed Windows 8 Pro on Windows 8

Control Panel, system does not show window Pro 8, just Windows 8.

I was unable to install HYPV.

I called Microsoft Support and after some time, the engineer was able to fix it for me.

Today, I tried to do a restore on Windows 8 Pro and it says that it failed.

    Dialog box said, seeking resolutions.

    He went far and nothing

Still, I have installed Windows 8 Pro.

I went to the HYPV facility, and it was not an option.

I looked on the Control Panel, system, and it says: Windows 8, Windows not Pro.

I called the new Microsoft support, which proved Omnitech support or something.

They have accessed remotely in my machine, ran some application, then said, "Oh, he concluded that all these junk files, registry settings, basic stuff these programs always show and that was probably the cause of the problem."

For them, I mentioned I had a SR on this back when, these parameters do not result in this question and Microsoft engineer has been able to fix, and there was no response.

As people at Microsoft have been able to fix it for me, I would like to know what they did, so I can apply the same fix.

Remote MS - guy in my machine and was able to run something that fixed it.

Apparently it's a bug in the Windows Installer process 8.

I'm afraid that this could happen again, and I want to be ready for it.

Any help would be appreciated, even someone who can find this original SR, a KB or something

    Thank you

    Hello

Since we do not know what software or tools were used by Ominitech support to solve the problem. As you mentioned that the problem has been resolved with Omnitech support, you must have had a session of cat or a call with the support of Omnitech session. Then I suggest that you contact them with the number of file or request that you received service.

We are unable to open PDF files in IE9 browser for our users with Acrobat Pro 10.1.12 installed as these files open in AcrobatPro instead. Works great for users of Adobe Reader installed.

I checked in IE Add-ons are enabled (Adobe PDF, Adobe PDF Conversion Tool, SmartSelect class, + Adobe Reader [via the run without permissions list] according to link using Acrobat |) Display PDF in browser. Acrobat, Reader XI

Operating system is MS Windows 2008 Server R2 + Citrix.

NB Adobe Pro Preferences\Internet\Web browser Options\Display PDF in the browser is disabled for I can't change that.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Thanks for the reply.

I discovered that the problem is caused by our package install setting the registry value ' HKCU\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\10.0\Originals\bBrowerIntegration'=0

The user interface for this setting is disabled. When I change this value to 1 via regedit then everything works OK.

I need to get Setup customization file rebuilt to fix it properly.

  • How change a PDF file created with Acrobat Pro XI after signatures have been applied (as I can in 7, 8.0

I have a major problem that I need to resolve before we can buy Acrobat Pro XI:

Currently, with Acrobat Pro 8.1, after all signatories sign a document, we add an effective Date (we add it after they sign since we do not know when the last signature is acquired and we cannot have an effective Date that is prior to the date of the last signatory, moreover, it would be effective before they signed, which is not possible). I am also authorized the latitude (as described in our Documentation control procedure) to make spelling corrections, hyperlink updates and minor formatting changes (using the typewriter and, also, by replacing a page which is NOT signed so page change shows how to repaginate the document or the amendment of a hyperlink that has changed).

In all versions previous Acrobat we used (7 Pro, Pro 8 and 8.1 Pro), this was easily possible and any changes would be listed on the Signatures tab, which is exactly what we want, is traceability.

I now use the trial version of Acrobat Pro XI but get the message "this document is signed and cannot be displayed." If I bring the same PDF created from Word 2003 & 2013 using Acrobat Pro XI in Pro 8.1, however, I CAN add the date, use the typewriter and replace unsigned pages, register and leave without compensation or lose any signature.

My question is this: How can I do this in Acrobat Pro XI, as Pro XI (in the Signature pane) lists also changes made to the document, when it was edited using Pro 8.1? (It's OK that the changes made to the PDF and then mark signatures as "invalid", as the reason why they were invalidated is also listed in the pane of the Signature, for example "form field added," which is usually the Date of effect applied).

    Thanks for any help!

Thank you, Zildjian, and isakten. You me headed in the right direction. What I ended up doing was just a form text (for entry into force) field, then the required signature fields. After everyone has signed, I can the Effective Date of entry, then save the document and I don't have to sign myself or apply any type of certification. I just have to remember to put the text before form field I have forward the documents. It's the right answer, at least for my situation.

    Thanks again!

A version bought the current version (Acrobat DC Pro) can be exchanged, so you should be able to run on Windows or Mac. But never both. You can then run it on two machines for your own personal use (do not share).

A subscription version can be installed on two computers. Windows or Mac. For a person.

More complex arrangements are pointing to a need for volume licenses.
