Distortion of the screen, Inspiron E1705

Hello

I have a problem, for the last few months that acted in my screen upwards. It's a little hard to explain, so I apologize. The best way I can describe it, is that the screen has white lines going through it, as if the screen has been tearing? It will happen at random times, and when that happens, I see that the screen will darken. Then the distrotion do not recur, and the screen becomes lighter. It comes and goes out all the time, I downloaded the new drivers successfully a few days ago, but the problem is still intervene. For any info or suggestions would be great, thanks for the time!

  • Satellite L850 - will be distorted on the screen on the login screen

    Hello

I constantly have a problem where the screen will be distorted for example half of the screen will be moved to the right as if it splits. Or I'll get vertical lines on the screen. This happens on the login screen. If I turn off and on again it disappears instantly, but I'll have to do frequently.

Any ideas or should I just send this guarantee?

In my opinion, you can't do much then the best option for you is to contact the nearest Toshiba service, explain the situation and ask for help.

What you can do playing with the installation of the driver or installation of HARD drive recovery image to check if the problem persists with the factory settings.

    Hi all

I bought a Satellite L50-A-1of 6 months and 3 months, when the computer is 'ON' and if I move, I sound suddenly get a screen with distortion and I have no choice but to restart my computer.

I thought it was a driver problem or an unstable version of windows, but as all drivers are up to date and I change anything in the computer, I'm starting to wonder if this isn't just a screen problem?

    Intel 4600 graphics card
    NVidia GeForce GT 740M

    > I thought it was a driver problem or an unstable version of windows, but as all drivers are up to date and I change anything in the computer, I'm starting to wonder if this isn't just a screen problem?

You can perform a short test just to get more clarity.
Next time when this issue would seem, you could connect an external monitor just to check if the same distortions would be visible on the 2nd monitor.

If distortions are NOT visible on the external monitor, the graphics card and the graphics drive isn t the troublemaker, but probably the internal display module is affected.
In this case, the display should be replaced.

Where the distortion appears on the external monitor as well as on the internal screen, the graphics card or the driver could cause the problem.
In this case, you should fistly whole laptop back to factory settings, installation of the image of Toshiba using HARD drive recovery. After that, you should try to install the latest graphics driver.

If this procedure doesn't help, the graphics card must be verified, but it requires special software of diagnosis.

This would require additional assistance of service provider allowed that the unit is still under warranty (as you say it s old to 6 months) and therefore, should be set the laptop under warranty conditions.

There are probably others, but don't forget your provider guarantees the compatibility - if you change the resolution for example, you need a new beam of son - and with some system models, motherboards are required to work with specific screens (in other words, do not assume that all screens for the 3521 will work with your specific model).

  • The screen started after the update of the Sierra

    Hi buckeye351,

I understand that you see some video distorted on the screen of your Mac just after that you wake up from its sleep. Which is certainly not normal behavior. I would like to make a few suggestions to help.

As a first step, I recommend your Mac NVRAM reset. Take a look at this resource that goes on how to reset the NVRAM:

How to reset the NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

If you continue to experience this problem, check out this site to see if your Macbook Pro with the Retina display model corresponds to one of the models in question:

If you speak the built in Administrator account, there is no password. Unless someone set up a.
To join the built in Administrator account, you press CTRL-ALT-DEL twice to the administrator of the screen and type welcome and let the empty password field.

If you are using XP Home Edition, the built-in Administrator account probably doesn't have a defined password. You can start in safe mode, where this account will be selectable when connecting. It allows to connect and change the password of your normal connection.

To start in safe mode, keep hitting F8 twice a second after turning on the PC until you get the start menu where safe mode is selectable by the up/down arrow keys, and then press ENTER.

If you are using XP Professional, try to connect using the built-in Administrator account. You don't need to do it in safe mode (although you can if you wish). If your normal login screen is a display of the user symbol and hit ctrl-alt-del twice to get to login to text entry. Type administrator as the user name and try a blank password.

  • Minor problem with the New Installation of Windows 7 on my Inspiron E1705/9400 - two entries for "Base system device" under "Other devices" with yellow exclamation point

    Hello

First of all, let me tell you about my system.   It is of a laptop Inspiron E1705/9400 with the Core 2 Duo T7400 processor clocked at 2.16 GHZ.   It has 2 GB of RAM and a hard drive on the Hitachi Travelstar nine 500 GB (7200 RPM).   It also has the GeForce Go 7900 GS video card.    Previously, it had Windows XP Professional (32 bit) and worked well.   But, I have three computers in my home and Home Office and would they work better together on my wired home network, so I'm upgrading all three to Windows 7.   My two desktops (a Dimension XPS 420 and the other Dimension XPS 430) seem like they will be no problem to upgrade to Windows 7.   But, this laptop was not on the list of Dell Windows 7 compatibility.   However, the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor that I have downloaded and run seemed to say that it was OK to do a clean install of Windows 7 32-bit and he had only a few minor issues, where it says search the drivers updated from the manufacturer.   Initially, the laptop came with a 100 GB hard drive.   For my use, which becomes very small, so I decided to get the exact same 7200 RPM drive 500 GB size.   This will allow me to do a clean install of the 32 bit Windows 7 OS on the new hard drive and not have to wipe the old disk to do so.   I can just keep the old HD and paste it back whenever I need to get something out of it.

So, here's my minor problem.   After the transfer of some elements off the coast of the old hard drive, I installed the new 500 GB drive and installed a cleaning of the 32-bit version of Windows 7.    I'm happy to announce that I have not had virtually no problems with installation and everything seems to work fine.   He seems a little more zippy than before and I have not met so far that doesn't seem to work.   I went through most of features and almost everything is superb.   But there is a minor problem, showing in Device Manager.   At least, I think it's a minor problem, but maybe someone can give me feedback to know if she is or not.

In the Device Manager list, there is a category called "other devices" now and the icon shows a little white circle with an exclamation mark.    When you expand this category, you see two identical entries that say "Base system device" and the icon has a yellow circle with an exclamation mark inside.     I know from experience that it is not a good thing to see items in the device manager that have a yellow circle with an exclamation point.   I clicked on both of them and neither one really tells you what the device is, or who did what is site you would go to a driver.    On the general tab, it has the following information:

    -Device type Other devices

    Reference of the manufacturer- Unknown

                         Location     -         Bus PCI 3, device 1, function 3

Under device status, it says the following:

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

There is no driver selected for the item or a set of device information

To find a driver for this device, click Update driver.

Each of the entries seem to be almost the same thing... but not exactly.   The other has the location

list PCI Bus 3, device 1, function 2... instead of function 1.   This seems to be the only difference.

I tried the button to update the driver, but that doesn't seem to work.   No matter if you say it looks like your

computer or to look for a new driver from the internet, it does not find anything.     As I said at the beginning,

the system seems to work very well... but, given that I don't know what this device is or does, I might be missing something.

He drives me crazy just have these yellow circles with exclamation point hanging out in my device manager.

I could really use some help here.    Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Bryan Ray (Richmond, WILL)

BTW, I just downloaded and installed the driver pack from this ftp location and it worked, even for Windows 8.1 - 64 bit.

    Thanks Steve!

  • PLEASE WAIT, BLUE SCREEN, Windows once connected on the new Inspiron 7537 8.1

Hi, this is my head. I have a new (less a week old) 15 inch 7000 series laptop PC with Windows 8.1 pre-installed by Dell UK.

A day after use, I start getting a blue screen that just overlap the start screen (and everything what I am trying to access) saying 'Please wait '. I found on-line means to solve the problem with the option than a job or go back to a restore point. For the last 3 days, I had to perform system restores and especially don't want to continue to do every day.

Notice all the I changed is to install Chrome.

I use this site http://www.optimizewindows8.net/2014/01/fixing-please-wait-screen-problem-in-windows-8-8-1/ but it seems that this problem is very popular and there is no solution yet.

    Results

    • Method 4: perform a system restore: The only method that works so far goes back to a restore point.
    • Method 1: launch Safe Mode and perform a clean boot n ' not work, same error after reset. So don't go to investigate the item as they were all off the coast.
    • Method 2: fix the filesystem with CFS scan - I have to do this, you do not have media.
    • Method 3: log in using another account - Not tried but as I only have one account. Plus a lot of people is reporting that they must exercise in using this method with taskkill restoreoptin.exe
    • Method 5: stop waiting for updates: When I got my laptop it turned slowly making me think that something has not been installed correctly.
    • Method 6: end task restoreoptin.exe: You need another account to do this. Trying to restoreOptIn.exe /Ramp, I found that it created the screen 'Please wait '.

I disabled the Sky drive sync'ing as many messages talking about problems of integration with the operating system.

Before I do the kickoff at the Dell support by phone, does any body knows more about this?

Go looking around I found that in the "app My Dell' under 'story checkup\System' a critical error the day I received the laptop. I want to completely reinstall my system but I do not have the media, have no idea where to find my windows key. I found something on "download software factory" on the Dell site, but it did not work. What are you supposed to do here.

Hi Chris.  I don't have any real help to you that I'm sorry to say, but I also encounter the same problem with my new laptop Inspiron 7000.  I tried method 2 and he obtained throughout the analysis of the Sfc at the end without requiring the installation media and get the message: "Windows Resource Protection is not any violation of the integrity.", which was a dead-end too.

Takes me back 20 years for Windows 2 and all conflicts of dark material that allows us to get then. Windows 8 rhyme with mistake as far as I'm concerned.

  • Pale edges in the screen of the Inspiron 13 7000

    Hello

Since a few days I started to notice about an inch wide pale stripes on the sides of the screen of the Dell Inspiron 7000 13 and it's annoying. I also made LCD BIST, but it's still there. May I know what to do with it.

If the status on the self test, it is a hardware problem and the screen must be replaced.

  • New INSPIRON-W8. IntExpl fills all the screen

Obtained Dell Inspiron 660 with Win 8. It connected via VGA to DELL ST2421L monitor. Some applications (weather, Amazon store, shop DELL) fill the ENTIRE screen of the monitor (entirely from left to right). But Internet Explorer Start menu OFFICE fills only in the MIDDLE of the screen. Database (accessible from IE) IE websites (e.g., Bank of America) also fill ONLY about half of the screen, sometimes in the middle or regarding the BankofAmerica only the left part of the screen.

What I said, just with the 100% Zoom. Increase the Zoom is not a solution that the sides of the image are lost

It's very bad for the eyes of my week. Actually, I bought the new computer and monitor to have an easy to see LARGE image. My wife's DELL OPTIPLEX 740 with VISTA connected to the DELL S2740L monitor and on its system of Internet Explorer and ALL its websites beautifully filling the WHOLE screen of the monitor with the 100% Zoom.

Please HELP me to get IE with all its websites on the screen of the monitor COMPLETE at 100% Zoom, as I could NOT find instructions here and not like to start a SUPPORT procedure.

THANKS a lot for the attention and assistance.

    Hi noisnemid0028,

I checked some site in IE 10 on Windows 8, including the website of Bank of America and they open in the middle of the screen with zoom 100%. Web sites must be designed to support the wide screen format. You can load Google.com and check whether it covers the entire screen as it is compatible with wide screen. Web sites cannot be compatible widescreen if Google displays correctly.

Please let me know your results.
